The view is fantastic, you eat in total relaxation.
19/05/2026: Really delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Pasta and meat dishes are tasty and cooked to perfection. The place is a hidden gem worth driving to and mostly frequented by locals. Book a table otherwise you will drive in vain.

Typical Tuscan food that satisfied our palates (not to mention the desserts: excellent)...
Finally, a place where you can feel at home and where the welcome is certainly there: unusual, but we loved it.
The owner is a real nice guy!!!!!
The girls are also lovely, kind, and very friendly.

05/04/2026: A fantastic place to eat in Lucca! The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the waiter very friendly! The setting was lovely! I highly recommend it.
P.S.: Just a quick note about the dessert, which wasn't quite what we expected (walnut ice cream), but the waiter offered us two limoncellos to make up for it… what more could you ask for… 😄👍

07/06/2026: We had a wonderful and, above all, delicious evening at Da Rosolo. Tucked away in a courtyard (don't be put off by the garbage bins from the street cleaning; there was no smell), it has plenty of small tables, including indoor seating.
We started with homemade pasta with sea bass and spaghetti, followed by Rivella with polenta and chicken with beans (seasoned with sage and butter, very flavorful).
The food and drinks arrived quickly and were excellent. The staff is very courteous and attentive. We'd gladly return, and you can even drop in spontaneously on a Saturday evening with a small group :)

Recommend and would come back when in Lucca.
Reasonably priced too.

17/07/2026: A delicious trattoria, very intimate and with limited seating. The quality of the ingredients is phenomenal: the platter of cured meats, cheeses, and olives was delicious, and both the Chianina-style pici and the butter and sage tortelli were amazing. The only drawbacks were the portions, which were decidedly small (less than 100g of pici and only 3 tortelli on the plate), and the wait time. With only one waiter managing the entire dining room, service was very slow, and it took us over two hours to dine.
16/07/2026: Located on a central pedestrian street, the service was attentive and precise. We ordered gnocchetti with cod sauce (excellent), ravioli Maremmani (good but a little undercooked), birramisu (unusual but good), and baci di Elisa (good but a bit hard). Reasonable value for money.

The food is excellent, the service is good, and the location is welcoming.
The price is fair overall.
17/05/2026: Highly recommended! We went there last Thursday and had a delicious meal. We were well served by Francesco (a guy with long black hair and a beard); he made the atmosphere even more pleasant.

11/05/2026: Nice restaurant, a little too close to the road, which is annoying when cars pass by, but fortunately there aren't many.
Wide selection, a bit touristy, considering that they also feature truffle and porcini mushroom dishes, served year-round. Average prices.
The staff were friendly and smiling, making it a pleasure to spend a few hours at this restaurant for lunch.

18/07/2026: A truly excellent experience. We had lunch here and were very pleased with both the food and the service.
We ordered the crispy carasau bread basket, the lasagna, and, for dessert, the Merenda della Nonna. All the dishes were delicious, carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. The dessert of warm bread, fior di latte gelato, hazelnuts, and red fruit compote was a particularly pleasant surprise.
The atmosphere is welcoming, refined, and quiet, perfect for a relaxing lunch. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay, without ever being intrusive.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and impeccable service. We will definitely be back.

21/07/2026: Terrible experience, absolutely avoid! The service was embarrassing, to say the least. The waiter kept dropping things. Whatever we asked for, they forgot it and never brought it. The food was completely tasteless, without salt or seasoning. The meat was literally drowned in oil and tasteless. The prices are way too high for this kind of quality. There's no point spending money here. Terrible food and completely incompetent staff.

Stunning interior, beautifully dressed and engaging staff, dramatic and yet small kitchen fully exposed by floor-to-ceiling windows, exceptional china and perfect food. Fun, delicious and an all-around 10. Our party of four went for my 60th birthday and wouldn’t change a thing. We loved it! I only wish I were more of a snap while eating person but I did get a few pics. When in Florence, this gem is a must!

The combinations of ingredients for each dish blend perfectly together and it offers both the menu degustazione of 5 dishes or option 'a la carte' with a minimum order of 3.
