14/06/2025: Hi Sergio, thank you so much for your full service and friendship from stepping into the door to arriving to my hotel. I am so appreciate to your warm help for our teams safe return to hotel in late night. As this is my first trip to Sicily, I have no idea on Sicily's great food. I order some dishes and share with my friends, and we are surprised to the freshness and richness of the foods and high level of decorations, service and wine pairing. The amuse-bouche and welcome drink is perfect. This is real gourmet dinning, and I regret to miss your full course dinner. I will revisit your restaurant and enjoy it later. The price is very much affordable!

01/06/2025: Un’autentica esperienza di gusto nella tradizione La Masseria di Salvo è molto più di un semplice ristorante: è un viaggio nei sapori autentici della cucina tradizionale, in un’atmosfera calda e accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il locale è curato, rustico ma elegante, immerso nel verde e perfetto sia per una cena romantica che per un pranzo in famiglia o con amici. Il personale è gentile, attento e appassionato, sempre pronto a raccontare la storia dei piatti e a consigliare al meglio. La cucina è il vero punto di forza: ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti freschissimi, molti dei quali a km 0. Le porzioni sono generose, i sapori intensi ma equilibrati, e la presentazione curata senza mai essere eccessiva. Antipasti misti da sogno, primi della tradizione eseguiti con maestria e secondi che sanno davvero di casa. Da non perdere i dolci fatti in casa, semplicemente deliziosi! Un posto in cui si torna volentieri, perché sa di vero. Complimenti allo chef e a tutto lo staff per la passione che mettono ogni giorno nel loro lavoro.

10/06/2025: Small family-run restaurant, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Great prices and a good selection of products both at the counter and on the menu. It also has a small room where you can have lunch sitting down without the crowd of people sitting at the bar. Excellent!

03/05/2025: Se non lo conosci difficilmente ci capiti, se lo conosci… non ci torni. All’ingresso sembra semplicemente un bar, solo chiedendo scopri che fanno anche ristorazione e ti fanno accomodare in una stanzetta abbastanza modesta, spartana e deprimente specie se, come nel mio caso, ci capiti fuori orario e quando non c’è nessuno. Opto per un primo piatto (penne olive e acciughe) né abbondante né particolarmente gustoso. Con una bottiglietta d’acqua e il coperto spendo sui 13 euro. Nonostante la buona volontà e gentilezza del personale (credo tutti componenti della famiglia proprietaria) non resto soddisfatto. Valido probabilmente per i pranzi di lavoro della gente del posto, sconsigliato se siete in zona per turismo o in vacanza. C’è di meglio. Molto meglio.

We came back here after 7 years and did not regret it. It is necessary to book a table for dinner, otherwise there are no seats. I recommend

02/07/2025: The food here was incredible. Raw seafood platter was great, the wine selection was amazing, and the pasta dishes were fantastic. Despite not liking gnocchi all that much, the crab sauce they were in was first class. The vongole was also great too. Be warned however - reservations are hard to come by.

06/07/2025: Food average. Very small portions. Very very rude waitress. Too rude, never experienced such service. Rolling of eyes multiple times, talking about us in Italian to her colleagues thinking we re not understanding. She literally looks like she doesn't want to work. Such a poor level of service from this waitress. If I were the owner I would fire her immediately as she truly forces customers away.

03/06/2025: The restaurant, located in the center of Castrofilippo, has an indoor dining area and a street terrace during the summer. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The service is relatively fast. The value for money is very good. The food is delicious. A must-see when you're in this area.

I have never had them forget my order twice in a row, a simple carbonara and after 45 minutes they are promising me that it will arrive in the next two minutes. Maybe it's time to hire local waiters or at least waiters who can communicate with the customer!

22/06/2025: Very good experience in this restaurant! We were 3 couples and were able to taste the famous Trilli, with well-cooked pasta. Don't hesitate to order antipasti which allows you to taste specialties... Small appetites abstain, the first time in my life that I settled on a plate of spaghetti carbonara which was delicious... A good address for a very good quality-price ratio!

12/07/2025: Waiters are nice but almost no one speaks English, which makes communication super hard. Had the marinated shrimps for starter and then couscous for main. All the fish even in the couscous came raw. I was absolutely disgusted, and felt a bit aggravated by not being able to communicate to anyone and understand if that was normal... Sad to say but this was by far the worst meal I've had in all of my travels in Italy. Giving 3 stars for the nice outdoor table and kind waiters.
