18/08/2025: Unfortunately, we don't recommend this restaurant. The service is terrible. We waited over 20 minutes for our order, and a waitress put down our bottle of water without even opening it and serving it. Are you anti-tourist? In any case, we decided not to stop because the atmosphere wasn't conducive to relaxation.

18/08/2025: In one of Palermo's most charming and tranquil squares, you'll find a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide (no stars) but with a highly captivating description that opens up many expectations. In practice, however, you'll encounter many problems. You've chosen the six-course tasting menu: the following dishes received particularly poor marks: Calamarata, 'nduja sauce, eggplant, Ragusano DOP, basil mousse, and wild fennel: a very bland and unremarkable dish. Double-marinated veal fillet, smoked tomato, black pig cheek, Sicilian Pecorino DOP wafer, fresh oregano It's practically impossible, even allowing for any kind of error in the preparation, to serve such a tough veal fillet. Not even the many supposedly intriguing additional ingredients managed to produce an acceptable dish. Grilled leek, brown vegetable stock, vegetables, marjoram. Unspeakable. I thought of an unlikely "raw vegetable dish." The staff is extremely kind and patient, but professionally, they still need to hone their skills in the face of the challenges that this now disillusioned industry presents. The sommelier, in particular, must radically rethink his professional perspective. Wine of choice: Grillo di Sicilia: good. Bill for two: €290. Advice to the owners: radically rethink everything because if the strategy focuses on passing customers, who once met will never be seen again, you can't build a minimally credible proposal.

16/08/2025: Just wow! What an amazing restaurant! It is part of the Michelin guide and for sure it deserves a star! One of the best ones I have ever been. Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Splendid service. Unique flavors. If you are considering going, just do it 😁

13/06/2025: Terzo ristorante provato durante la nostra permanenza sull'isola. Personale garbato e attento. Locale con affaccio sul porto. Anche qui, abbiamo cenato a base di pesce. Grigliata mista cucinata sapientemente e pesce di qualità. Anche i primi meritano, per non parlare dei dessert (davvero eccezionali). Giusto rapporto qualità prezzo. Sicuramente un locale da provare per chi è in vacanza a Lampedusa.

12/07/2025: A place with plenty of covered outdoor space. We were served quickly and well. The pizzas are huge and very good. We were four adults, and no one could finish it. Very reasonably priced. It's not a chic or particularly pretty place, but it's authentic and completely local. Recommended if you want to eat very good pizzas, cheap, and in quantity. They also have pasta, mussels, meat, etc.

20/08/2025: Half the menu items were unavailable. We were told they only had visiate pasta, but after asking another waiter, we were told they also had another type of pasta. Lifting a bottle of wine on the shelves behind the table, we found a small cockroach under the bottle. Service was rather slow, about an hour and a half for the first courses, and the restaurant was quite empty; besides us, there were many of us, only one couple sitting at the tables. The food, in our opinion, wasn't very good, especially the raw ingredients—I'm talking about fish. The pasta, according to everyone who ordered it, was bland. The restaurant is still nice. The price was slightly above average. The most notable was the €11 for eight grilled zucchini rounds and a radicchio stalk. Highly not recommended, especially considering the quality of other restaurants in the area.

20/08/2025: Excellent couscous, but also first courses and fried foods. I recommend it.

04/09/2025: Service takes a while...but it was also completely full...the food is great though, a bit away from the sea in the old town, but it's worth an evening!

02/09/2025: Very nice place, in the center of Cefalù. Traditional cuisine: pasta with sardines is recommended! The main courses (especially the involtini) are less worthy, as they offer a poor quality-price ratio. The bill was steep due to the water (€3.50 for the 75cl sparkling wine) and the cover charge (an unjustified €2.50). Overall, I would return!

31/08/2025: One of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to!! Aside from the lovely location overlooking the sea, the quality and freshness of the fish are second to none, and the prices are excellent. The staff is helpful and extremely friendly. The restaurant also has its own beach. I highly recommend it!

06/07/2025: Food average. Very small portions. Very very rude waitress. Too rude, never experienced such service. Rolling of eyes multiple times, talking about us in Italian to her colleagues thinking we re not understanding. She literally looks like she doesn't want to work. Such a poor level of service from this waitress. If I were the owner I would fire her immediately as she truly forces customers away.

06/07/2025: De eerste avond dat wij bij La Stiva gegeten hebben was zo lekker, puur en gastvrij dat wij avond twee en drie hier ook zijn geweest. Antonella en Angelo komen van Sicilië en koken met de producten uit de regio. Je krijgt geen menukaart maar een tafel vol kleine gerechtjes. Vooral proeven, delen en genieten. Goed om te weten; wijn en water zijn bij de totaalprijs inbegrepen. Je proeft dat hier met liefde is gekookt. Antonella en Angelo hebben onze vakantie tot een feestje gemaakt.

10/06/2025: Small family-run restaurant, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Great prices and a good selection of products both at the counter and on the menu. It also has a small room where you can have lunch sitting down without the crowd of people sitting at the bar. Excellent!

03/05/2025: Se non lo conosci difficilmente ci capiti, se lo conosci… non ci torni. All’ingresso sembra semplicemente un bar, solo chiedendo scopri che fanno anche ristorazione e ti fanno accomodare in una stanzetta abbastanza modesta, spartana e deprimente specie se, come nel mio caso, ci capiti fuori orario e quando non c’è nessuno. Opto per un primo piatto (penne olive e acciughe) né abbondante né particolarmente gustoso. Con una bottiglietta d’acqua e il coperto spendo sui 13 euro. Nonostante la buona volontà e gentilezza del personale (credo tutti componenti della famiglia proprietaria) non resto soddisfatto. Valido probabilmente per i pranzi di lavoro della gente del posto, sconsigliato se siete in zona per turismo o in vacanza. C’è di meglio. Molto meglio.

28/07/2025: Excellent location, recommended by the property where we were staying. We had delicious and tender split mussels, exceptional catch of the day, Sicilian sushi, tuna tartare, tuna croquettes, grilled octopus, and bruschetta with red shrimp tartare, accompanied by excellent local wine (see photo). Highly recommended.
