29/09/2025: What can I say...in the heart of Ortigia...a very cute and welcoming place. The dishes are impeccably prepared and everything is top-quality. The raw fish is excellent. And then the owners are a family of uniquely friendly and welcoming people. I recommend it to everyone.

04/10/2025: The food is amazing, made with local produce. The ragu is delicious. The service is excellent! The interior patio is very pretty. I recommend it for dinner; it's even more charming.

03/10/2025: The place looks nice, but the experience was very disappointing. Our mixed fried dish arrived with some pieces still frozen inside; it had to be sent back and re-cooked. We ordered a well-done steak for our 1.5-year-old toddler (asked three times), but it arrived medium with some rare pieces. When we complained, the waitress rudely said “that’s how they like their meat,” which was completely unacceptable. Other dishes were just okay, but the poor cooking and rude service ruined the visit.

30/09/2025: The restaurant is beautiful. We had swordfish and a grilled beef filet. The swordfish had that old fish taste and smell, very unpleasant. We complained to our waiter who was adamant that the fish was fresh. We live in a coastal fishing village in Mexico so we know what fresh fish smells and tastes like. The beef filet was tender but lacking in flavor.

28/09/2025: We tried typical Sicilian pasta and really liked it, especially the pasta with sardines. It's a restaurant where you can order a starter and pasta, or pasta and a main course. Parking is easy.

05/10/2025: We came here on the recommendation of Osteria d'Italia and had reserved a table. We were told that the restaurant has been run by the same family for over 20 years. We love and know Italian cuisine and were particularly looking forward to the Sicilian version. We ordered three starters, one of which was to share. Initially, however, we were only served two, and only after we asked for all three came – this time even more. The bruschetta to share was excellent, but the caponata was rather overcooked and bland, and the Parmigiano was okay. For our main course, we chose the fish of the day (sea bream with capers, tomatoes, fennel, and peppers). The portion was so small that we had to ask if it was really the main course. Unfortunately, it was – the fish was barely noticeable, as it was completely overpowered by the vegetable sauce. With a glass of white wine (€9), the bill came to €81. Overall, we were disappointed with both the quality and quantity of the fish and would not eat here again.

31/08/2025: One of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to!! Aside from the lovely location overlooking the sea, the quality and freshness of the fish are second to none, and the prices are excellent. The staff is helpful and extremely friendly. The restaurant also has its own beach. I highly recommend it!

24/09/2025: We had a good first course (fish couscous), but they should include more fish and less shellfish, because when you pay for it, it's fair to eat a little more than shellfish, which you can't. Otherwise, it was normal.

23/09/2025: We ordered seafood couscous for two, white wine, and water. The food arrived quickly but, unfortunately, was bland and tasteless. The same was true for the seafood. We won't be returning. The location: charming, in a small square. The couscous cost €20 per person.

13/06/2025: Terzo ristorante provato durante la nostra permanenza sull'isola. Personale garbato e attento. Locale con affaccio sul porto. Anche qui, abbiamo cenato a base di pesce. Grigliata mista cucinata sapientemente e pesce di qualità. Anche i primi meritano, per non parlare dei dessert (davvero eccezionali). Giusto rapporto qualità prezzo. Sicuramente un locale da provare per chi è in vacanza a Lampedusa.

16/09/2025: Dinner for 4 people last night and a big disappointment. The setting is nice, the waiters do their job with a smile, but the food is unworthy of the price and expectations: a tuna tartare without any seasoning (you might as well eat plain fish at home), bland and flavorless main courses. We had the impression that everything lacked love, technique and especially taste. Too bad, because the place deserves better, but here it is clearly the food that is letting everything down.

10/10/2025: Every time we pass through Noto, we go to Al Buco. Very beautiful place. Typical Sicilian cuisine. It's very good. We are delighted every time. Third generation of owners. Warm welcome. What can I say, it's worth the detour.

05/10/2025: The food served isn't worth the price, neither in terms of taste nor portion size. The upstairs dining room is very small.

30/09/2025: I regretfully begin by saying that, despite being a chef accustomed to working in Michelin-starred restaurants, my experience at I Ruggeri restaurant last night was extremely disappointing. We ordered two tartares: one tuna and one albacore tuna with sun-dried tomatoes. The tuna tartare was decent; the other, however, had an unpleasant odor and, upon tasting, was fizzy and acidic, a typical sign of spoiled fish. When we pointed this out, the waiter dismissed the issue, claiming the flavor was due to the sun-dried tomatoes, ignoring the real issue related to the quality of the fish. At their suggestion, we replaced the dish with a sea bass tartare, which, however, turned out to be equally slimy and spoiled. When we pointed this out again, the waiter, in an almost arrogant tone, told us he would have the dish tasted in the kitchen. Shortly afterward, as I was going to the bathroom, I clearly heard shouts coming from the kitchen: "If something isn't good, you shouldn't take it out." Returning to the table, I noticed that a customer next to us had ordered the same sea bass tartare and, upon first bite, was having trouble swallowing it. Through all this, neither the wait staff nor the owner bothered to apologize, preferring to pretend nothing had happened and bring the previously ordered entrees. Unfortunately, the quality was also terrible: the mezze maniche with basil pesto and clams was full of sand, forcing me to discard the clams, while the seafood carbonara was too al dente and had curdled egg. We finished with a pistachio truffle that tasted more like almond than pistachio, and a tiramisu. A negative experience from every perspective: I absolutely do not recommend this place, both for the food and for the staff's total lack of professionalism.

28/09/2025: While passing through Messina, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The food is good, the presentation is meticulous. We were treated to an appetizer worthy of a gourmet restaurant. At first, the service was good, but as the customers arrived, even though the owner had helped out, things started to drag...

19/10/2025: Dinner on October 10, 2025 The setting is bare, consisting of a single, bright room, but devoid of any furnishings, enhanced only by four photographs of Modica on the walls. Tables are discreetly separated, and acoustic comfort is difficult to assess due to the small number of customers. Decent traditional cuisine: mixed antipasto, varied but unmemorable. The "lolli che favi" (a type of pasta filled with honey and honeycomb) are hard to judge, having never eaten them before, but they didn't impress me at all, while the ricotta ravioli with pork sauce were convincing. Decent house wine. Friendly and fairly quick service. Affordable. Rating: 7

17/10/2025: It's a bit far from the center of Modica, but you can eat really delicious traditional food. Oh, I want to eat it again.

21/09/2025: The portions were very generous, and everything was delicious and affordable. Typical Sicilian food. It cost €25 per person, but we overdid it.

21/10/2025: Everything was excellent, as always. The only negative was the price of coffee, which has gone up significantly since last time. But other than that, nothing to complain about. Excellent food, and the staff are always friendly.

Located at one of Palermo's most famous intersections, the sign is beautiful...for a bookstore!!! 😆 A very cozy little place that was recommended to us by practically everyone!!! A very welcoming place with fast and knowledgeable service. We ate typical dishes, such as pasta with cauliflower and primo sale cheese and delicious fish couscous!!! To finish, a coffee and... everyone was settled!!! One word: GO!!!

22/08/2025: I had the pleasure of visiting the masseria during the Ferragosto holiday. It's a charming place surrounded by nature, just outside the city of Palermo, about 30 minutes away. I had a wonderful lunch on Ferragosto, an excellent menu, served by very attentive and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

05/10/2025: The service was a little slow, perhaps due to the time of our arrival. We had the stuffed ravioli and the busiate with seafood. The busiate were excellent and the ravioli were delicious.
