14/01/2026: Very good! Great portion sizes for the price, we loved it. The plates are loaded with frutti di mare, which you don’t see in many restaurants anymore.
The owners are also really nice. Highly recommend!

17/10/2025: We ate them raw (scampi, red prawns, shrimp). Everything was incredibly fresh. Then there was a stuffed cuttlefish that melted in your mouth. The staff was friendly and professional. Recommended.
24/09/2025: We had a good first course (fish couscous), but they should include more fish and less shellfish, because when you pay for it, it's fair to eat a little more than shellfish, which you can't. Otherwise, it was normal.

19/11/2025: Every Sunday we go to the trattoria da Alfio with my family, I can only and exclusively say EVERYTHING GOOD 🐟🦐🦞🦀🦑🐙🦪🦞🍤 from the appetizer to the second course....but above all HUGE courses, the strong point of this restaurant/trattoria...the pasta allo scoglio 😍😍😍 EXCEPTIONAL!!!.. 01/11/2025: This is a charming, comfortable, and very well-located hotel. The welcome is warm. All the staff are kind and attentive. You can speak French with some of the reception staff. The breakfast is varied and very good, featuring fresh, local products. Don't hesitate to book; it's one of the best places to stay in Syracuse.
31/10/2025: One of the coziest hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the two rooms our family had were incredibly charming and above all the staff is incredibly helpful. Thanks for all the tips and bookings. We'll be back!

01/10/2025: Good service from the waiters. Good pasta. Apparently, I'm not the only one who was a bit disappointed by the dish of the day and surprised to pay €25 for four paltry tuna meatballs, which were offered as a starter of the day and then paid for as a main course. They may be good (more flavorful elsewhere, in my opinion), but the dish wasn't worth €25, especially when presented like that without any clear instructions or price. The owner wasn't very attentive on this point, but simply continued to say that the tuna was special. The bread served was old and rubbery.
29/09/2025: All good, but perhaps it would be appropriate to disclose the price of off-menu items in advance. We had an appetizer and two first courses, a bottle of water, and a glass of wine for €95, of which the off-menu tuna meatballs alone cost €25.

When we arrived, the waitress greeted us without a smile. Afterward, there was a bit of an argument between the waiters.
For a pizza, mussel soup, a chicken skewer, and a sparkling water, it cost 40 euros. Neither cheap nor excessively expensive.

02/02/2026: We’re there for a quick lunch. When we want to order a pizza from menu, they told us that pizza is not available. Ok, after we checked menu again, we would like to order some pasta. We just couldn’t get a waiter to take our order. I guess we are not their targeted customers and we are not welcome here. We left after a few minutes. If you are a tourist and want to have quick lunch, don’t bother to go there.
01/02/2026: One of the best restaurants I've had lunch at. The food is delicious and fresh. I tried the mixed seafood, which was fantastic, and the tiramisu and coffee were also excellent.

03/11/2025: A charming place, with a beautiful panoramic view, which makes everything romantic and stunning. The food is excellent, the dishes have immense flavor and are cooked and presented with great care.
The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to the guests and their needs.
The place is also super clean, which in my opinion highlights all the positive aspects of this place even more.
Highly recommended.
23/10/2025: La Taverna dell'Etna is one of those places that captures your heart even before your palate. Situated in a breathtaking panoramic location, it offers a spectacular view of Mount Etna and the sea that alone is worth the visit. But it's when the food arrives that you realize you're in a truly special place.
The cuisine is authentic, carefully prepared, and based on excellent quality ingredients, carefully selected and treated with respect. The staff is extremely friendly. In short, La Taverna dell'Etna is a place where the view enchants, the cuisine excites, and the hospitality makes you want to return. A little gem at the foot of the volcano. 🌋🍷

Ottima farcitura, impasto soffice e leggero (sinonimo di una adeguata lievitazione), leggera alveatura, cornice elastica e pronta al ritorno. Veramente buone, complimenti. Servizio rapido, prezzi nella norma. Bellissima esperienza.
