07/04/2026: The overall experience ranged from mediocre to disappointing. The food was "acceptable," but far from what one would expect seeing the place decorated with Michelin Guide stickers from 2011 to 2023. More than a guarantee, they resemble a museum of past glories. As of today, it feels more like a tourist trap than a restaurant that lives up to that history. The atmosphere upon arrival was, to say the least, peculiar. Part of the team was sitting at a table with what appeared to be acquaintances, then they served with an almost admirably… frenetic energy. Before the standard response of "we have many 5-star reviews" or "if you didn't like it, you should have left it on your plate," let me preempt you: a bad experience isn't invalidated by statistics, and paying for service doesn't obligate you to stage a scene to validate your opinion. The saying "one flower doesn't make a summer" is true, but when the garden has been neglected for a long time, we're no longer talking about a single flower. In our case, the disappointment was enough to leave our plates half-eaten, our wine practically untouched, and skip dessert altogether. It wasn't an isolated incident, but rather a series of signs that suggest the current level of service doesn't live up to the image they try to project. Summary - Edible and decent food, nothing special - The waitresses were lovely. The rest of the staff was peculiar.

21/05/2026: Amazing, top-notch meat, top-notch service, and very fair prices. A must-try, the place is always packed. I recommend getting your meal early.

20/05/2026: This place was recommended to us by one of the locals. The first time we tried to visit, there was quite a long line of people waiting outside. The second time, we arrived right at opening, while it was still empty. The food was good and the portions were generous, with plenty of locals dining there as well, though we have had better Italian food elsewhere.

27/10/2025: Excellent dinner. We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends who had been there before. For appetizers, we had eggplant rolls, which were delicious. Then we had four samples of tartar, which were also excellent. For the first course, spaghetti with red mullet and wild fennel sauce was truly excellent. The second course was equally delicious: Lampedusana-style amberjack fillet. Everything was excellent, from the service to the ingredients used. The bill was reasonable for the quality and service provided. Thank you, and see you next season.

04/04/2026: Typical dishes with a homemade flavor: heavenly sardine meatballs and pasta with spectacular sausage sauce! The caponata, Sicilian-style involtini, and pasta with sardines are also delicious. "Zia Anna" is a delight in person; we'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

27/04/2026: A great immersion into local cuisine. The portions are huge. The food is delicious. For the first time, we were stuffed with mussels; we couldn't finish them. It's not a restaurant, of course, and nothing fancy, but it was very tasty and relatively inexpensive.

20/03/2026: Enjoyed a couple of the appetizers including the capponata and the fried cheese; both were very flavorful and enjoyed by everyone. The entrees arrived a little out of sync with one another but the pasta with red mullet was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty.

14/05/2026: A beautiful place with a view of Mount Etna, delicious food, and friendly service. It's worth arriving early to get a seat with a good view :) I highly recommend it.

30/06/2025: In zona centrale, entriamo per puro caso, ambiente accogliente, accolti un sorriso, prendiamo due pizze (dai nomi legati alla tradizione letterale sicula). Che dire: fantastiche. Ottima farcitura, impasto soffice e leggero (sinonimo di una adeguata lievitazione), leggera alveatura, cornice elastica e pronta al ritorno. Veramente buone, complimenti. Servizio rapido, prezzi nella norma. Bellissima esperienza.

23/03/2026: Almost a year after our lunch (Easter 2025), I want to share my experience. We ate truly delicious! I had family members visiting from out of town, and finding the table laden with "palummeddi cu l'uovu," all made according to tradition, was truly wonderful! We felt wonderfully treated, and I must say, the portions were generous as well! We even left over the desserts, which we took home! Everything was excellent; we'll definitely be back!

03/10/2025: We followed the advice in the Routard guide. The restaurant is now called Aurora, and we understand that it's a continuation of the previous one. In any case, the positive reviews still apply: it's very good, fresh, and reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed the bruschetta with fish and shrimp tartare, then the spaghetti alla vongole (delicious sauce!), and the pasta with tuna and bottarga. Several of the customers were island residents, which is a very good sign. Friendly service. Thank you very much!

18/09/2025: I ordered a portion of tuna with sweet and sour sauce. The portion was quite small, the sauce excellent - I had to wait for the bread that the staff forgot to bring; the tuna did not seem fresh...
