23/03/2026: Catania boasts several culinary institutions, and one of them is the legendary Trattoria del Cavaliere: a symbol of Sicilian cuisine. Could I not try it? Absolutely not. 🏠 VENUE | We dined outside, so I can't comment on the decor. Judgment postponed! 🚶‍♂ STAFF | The staff taking orders are professional, quick, and efficient, considering the volume of customers coming and going at all hours. 👨‍🍳 CUISINE | This is perhaps where we're at our weakest point: we ordered several traditional dishes, and they seemed reheated rather than freshly made. The arancini weren't memorable, and the meat seemed seared on the spot, but without much attention to detail. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were okay, but it's also hard to mess up. In short, we weren't entirely convinced. 💶 BILL | The prices are among the lowest in Catania: I don't know how they do it, but it's possible to eat for just a few euros.

17/10/2025: We ate them raw (scampi, red prawns, shrimp). Everything was incredibly fresh. Then there was a stuffed cuttlefish that melted in your mouth. The staff was friendly and professional. Recommended.

24/09/2025: We had a good first course (fish couscous), but they should include more fish and less shellfish, because when you pay for it, it's fair to eat a little more than shellfish, which you can't. Otherwise, it was normal.

10/03/2026: A beautiful restaurant with friendly service. The food was excellent. The wines were very good, and the espresso cups were even warmed. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, I only have one day in Trapani. This would be my regular restaurant.

28/02/2026: An intimate and quaint restaurant. The staff was friendly and cheerful. The food was amazing! The wine was excellent, too! Highly recommended! We ordered: two fish tartares and a plate of sardine meatballs, a fish couscous, a plate of busiate pasta with Trapani pesto and fried eggplant, two glasses of grilled chicken, a bottle of water, and a slice of ricotta and almond crumble cake, for a total of €84. Exceptional value!

07/04/2026: One of the nicest, if not the nicest place for dinner in the heart of Cefalú. The atmosphere is special and very nice, the menu is a great selection of meals you don't get everywhere, the service is very welcoming and the prices as well. If you stay here for more than one night, you miss something if you don't visit this restaurant. You should reserve your table, of course.

05/04/2026: I had a great experience at Le Chat Noir: the service was truly excellent, attentive, and friendly throughout the Easter lunch. The dishes are simple, even too simple, and true to tradition, well-executed and enjoyable, although I would have appreciated a touch more elaborateness in the preparation. A definite highlight are the desserts, carefully prepared and well-crafted, which are undoubtedly the highlight of the menu. Overall, a place definitely worth a visit, especially for the quality of the service and the welcoming atmosphere.

20/03/2026: Really good and authentic Italian food made from simple and fresh ingredients with a nice wine selection to accompany the meals. So good we ate there twice!

20/03/2026: Enjoyed a couple of the appetizers including the capponata and the fried cheese; both were very flavorful and enjoyed by everyone. The entrees arrived a little out of sync with one another but the pasta with red mullet was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty.

30/06/2025: In zona centrale, entriamo per puro caso, ambiente accogliente, accolti un sorriso, prendiamo due pizze (dai nomi legati alla tradizione letterale sicula). Che dire: fantastiche. Ottima farcitura, impasto soffice e leggero (sinonimo di una adeguata lievitazione), leggera alveatura, cornice elastica e pronta al ritorno. Veramente buone, complimenti. Servizio rapido, prezzi nella norma. Bellissima esperienza.

What can I say about the impeccable food? The waiters were always attentive and, above all, always smiling, even when the rooms were full. We will definitely continue to go there. Recommended.
