29/08/2025: My wife and I went for dinner one evening, considering the other reviews. The terrace where we dined has a sea view (a name that is aptly named). The staff were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. The food was really good and fresh, and last but not least, the price was very fair. Recommended.

28/08/2025: AWFUL experience. We ordered a gluten-free first course with creamed zucchini and shrimp (the only ingredients listed on the menu) and grilled tuna in a sesame crust. We waited quite a while for the dishes to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, but we understood there was some inconvenience and waited calmly. My pasta arrived with pesto and visibly chunks of cheese inside. I'm lactose intolerant, so I immediately asked the waiter. He was embarrassed, unsure what was in the dish (which was quite serious), and then said, "It could be cheese." I left the pasta because I hadn't asked for pesto and cheese. The waiter apologized and left. My companion's tuna arrived, burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. This was another huge disappointment, but the waiter kindly noticed and took it away, taking it off her order. I work in this industry and understand that there can be bad days, but I can't stand the rudeness and arrogance of the owner. When it came to the bill, we pointed out how serious it was not to list allergens on the menu, advising her to update it to avoid unpleasant events. What did she do? She didn't apologize, just bowed her head, took it, and left! Dear owner, a simple "sorry" would have sufficed, because these things are not something you joke about. So, I strongly advise friends with food intolerances or allergies to AVOID this restaurant! My compliments go to the waiters, who were always kind and patient despite the difficult and slow service.

16/07/2025: I contacted Ghiottone Raffinato after seeing photos on social media that convinced me to call them for my son's 18th birthday. They took care of everything: every detail was taken care of, from the table decorations to the buffet tables. The food was plentiful and, of course, delicious and highly appreciated, all accompanied by a helpful, kind, polite, and meticulous staff. They made this event nothing short of perfect. I recommend everyone to contact them for their catering and events. I sincerely thank the staff for all they achieved.

10/07/2025: Cena al tramonto con vista mozzafiato: i tavoli fronte mare rendono l’esperienza già speciale di per sé. La cucina si distingue per l’approccio monoproteico per piatto, con sapori netti e ottimamente bilanciati. Menù degustazione (noi quello da 10 portate), accompagnato da bollicine siciliane. Piatti di carne e pesce tutti centrati. Finale sorprendente: il dessert si compone al momento, davanti al cliente, scegliendo tra vari ingredienti. Esperienza tecnica, elegante e coinvolgente.

24/08/2025: Never had a meal so bad, the raw fish was warm, the very sweet fish seemed sugary, the fish goulash was just potatoes with no fish, and the white wine was room temperature despite the 30 degrees Celsius outside. When we asked for some soaked wipes, they only brought us one for 12 people.

21/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant, and all the dishes were delicious. The fried caciocavallo cheese was truly delicious! We ate outside at tables overlooking the fairly quiet square. The service was quick and friendly. Recommended.

17/07/2025: La Casa del Brodo dal Dottore is one of the rare places where you can still experience an authentic family atmosphere. The staff, impeccable in their efficiency, speed, and precision, is also distinguished by their measured cordiality, always with full professionalism. The cuisine is excellent, meticulously prepared, and, at least in my case, evokes precious memories. If you find yourself in Palermo, on Via Vittorio Emanuele, treat yourself to the pleasure of stopping at La Casa del Brodo: it will be an experience that will allow you to experience firsthand the quality of a service refined over a century of tradition.

05/08/2025: I have been here 4 times over the months and I have to say I was never disappointed… The caponata is one of the best I’ve tried in the area and the service is simple but very efficient and welcoming. If there is any comment to say I would say that they could add a couple more of vegetarian option and add some rotation of the menu. But to be fair, rather have a few but good options rather than many and not so well done! Good job guys 🧚🏽‍♀️

22/08/2025: I've always been a big fan since they opened. I live outside now and tried to relive past experiences, but I was disappointed. One thing to note, and I hope it was a fluke, is that the quality has significantly declined: I had the parmigiana sandwich, bitter eggplant, fried in terrible oil, not-so-fresh bread, and cherry tomatoes that were at least a couple of days old and stuck in my mouth like chewing gum. Please, get back on track (we also had a salad, which was disappointing, too, as well as REAL water in a CENTRAL SICILY place!!!). They're losing their identity. It's fine for tourists, but anyone who's been there in the past can't help but notice the decline in quality and experience.

21/08/2025: Unfortunately, on the day of our visit around 3 or 4 p.m., something was a bit off. We were immediately told that neither focaccia nor pizza were available. After that, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a waitress to arrive. Unfortunately, the water we ordered was forgotten and only brought with us when we asked for it. The food was, unfortunately, so-so. The paneer was very tasty, but the main course (Burger Sammer) was not good; the top burger was too crispy/hard, and the contents unfortunately didn't taste good either. We couldn't find a place to pay, so we went inside and paid ourselves. Unfortunately, it was probably a poor performance on the day.

29/08/2025: A good restaurant in the heart of Ortigia, with a pleasant terrace on a very quiet street. The pasta is quite good and offers good value. Recommended for lunch/dinner in Syracuse.

27/08/2025: We had a lovely lunch here outside. It's a lovely, cozy street where you can sit comfortably. The service is incredibly friendly, and the food is a solid 10! We definitely recommend eating there!

20/08/2025: Absolutely inexplicable reviews. Two stars only for the courtesy and customer service. For the food (all seafood dishes), 1. Flavorless, fish not fresh, terrible value. It's true that the weather is terrible, and that perhaps we should have opted for meat dishes, but I don't know if I'll be back. In response... Readers can easily see how many seafood restaurants I've been to, in Italy and abroad (freshly caught, the best on the beaches of Portugal and Albania). And that I also frequent Chinese and Japanese restaurants. And their shrimp are very similar to the ones on my plate... Good luck to you!

20/08/2025: Visiting the Taverna has become a pleasant habit. The manager always offers a warm welcome. I've been coming here for almost thirty years. The food is sublime. Every year, the ever-changing menu is a surprise. The atmosphere is never chaotic, despite it being a very popular place. The service is super professional and fast. I always find the best traditional Sicilian dishes. Those who accompany me regularly describe the seafood dishes as the best on the Ionian Riviera. I recommend it without a doubt.
