I highly recommend this trattoria. Excellent food, friendly staff, and most importantly, fast service. The location is also lovely, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. 😉

A decades-old landmark for local dining, it's returned to its roots in terms of offerings, after a trip to a more "upscale" but less interesting area. The menu is therefore focused on meat, given the butcher's availability. However, fish is occasionally included among the daily specials, such as a very well-executed pasta with sardines. The place is rather noisy, but ultimately, the atmosphere is family-friendly and enjoyable. Service is informal, adequate, and very friendly. The wine selection is also basic and local. Prices are reasonable, but not particularly low.

Local restaurant, authentic, lots of locals. Fantastic food. The caponata was delicious. Pasta alla Trapani is also recommended.

My wife and I stopped here before we went back to the airport just before 3pm. We arrived around 2:40pm and they were still serving food. The food was incredible and came out hot! Best food of our trip and now dreaming of how im going to recreate this carbonara pasta in Australa! Thank you!

10/05/2026: EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! We've been frequenting Trapani and its downtown restaurants for some time now, and this is truly one of those that deserves to be among the top choices for its quality, kindness, and hospitality! We chose it again last night for a relaxing, quiet, and private outdoor dinner. Fresh ingredients, cooked with flavor and absolute lightness, bringing out only the true flavors of the region. The sardine meatballs and the asparagus and scampi risotto were excellent. Generous portions, like few others! The wine list was top-notch! The bill was balanced. For this reason, and to discover more, we'll be back soon! I was perhaps forgetting the most important characteristic of the owners (who are always present): excellent friendliness!
03/05/2026: A fantastic location, especially when the temperatures allow for outdoor dining. The friendliness and traditional dishes make the experience at I Lumi a truly enjoyable one.

19/04/2026: La Trattoria del Sale is located near the Trapani salt pans. It offers excellent cuisine; the couscous with fried fish is truly amazing. The location is perfect for admiring the salt pans.
