08/01/2026: We spent several days in Rome and Ristorante Archimede near the Pantheon was a pleasant discovery during our trip. Good quality and authentic food, pleasant service, convivial atmosphere in a charming dining room, and reasonable price. We're looking forward to visiting the restaurant again the next time we'll be in Rome.

03/01/2026: A restaurant with great potential and a pleasant atmosphere, but the service could definitely be improved. We discovered Archimede restaurant by chance, strolling down a side street, away from Rome's busiest tourist streets. We entered out of curiosity and were immediately struck by the decor and style of the restaurant: elegant, refined, with a decidedly Roman and refined atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the service, which fell short of expectations. The waiter forgot to bring us bread; I had only ordered soup and was unable to order it. When I asked for bread, he gave me an inappropriate response ("Where's your bread?"), only to later apologize. The bread arrived very late, and after about ten minutes, it was taken away because my companion had ordered gelato. I was told I shouldn't have any more bread, even though dessert wasn't for me. The wine service was also rather sketchy: when I asked what wine was being served by the glass, the answer was simply "a good one." I was also repeatedly called "Doctor," without any knowledge or reason. When leaving, I noticed that chocolates were being served to other tables, probably offered with coffee, but they weren't brought to us. Finally, when we got the bill, we were told that the wrong dessert had been marked and that we were two euros more than the bill stated. We paid without arguing, but the receipt was taken away, leaving us with only the card payment receipt. A place with great potential and a pleasant atmosphere, but the service could definitely be improved.

10/11/2025: I wasn’t planning to go anywhere, but I got a bonus on a website (you can see it in the photo) and decided to treat myself a bit. Ordered pasta — and it turned out to be the perfect choice! Simple dish, but the taste was on point.

03/11/2025: Beautiful location, large outdoor spaces where you can spend the day with games for the kids. It's a shame the food quality doesn't live up to the location. Small portions, high prices, and poor quality. A real shame.

15/03/2026: Hello everyone! We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. We've eaten at many places in Rome, but this place turned out to be a culinary shock for our taste buds. The pizza was perfect and the lasagna was delicious. The chef turned out to be a Pole who has been cooking in Italy for 30 years. Excellent presentation and a perfect blend of flavors. An incredible experience. Be sure to visit. Warmest regards to Mr. Marian, a professional chef. Keep up the great work! 😁

15/03/2026: A surprisingly tasty restaurant near Termini Station, offering authentic Italian pizza and lasagna, reasonable prices, and excellent service, especially from the older waiter, whom we greeted with greetings. Warmest regards to Marian from Poland, the restaurant's chef, who is a truly excellent cook. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant during your stay in Rome.

02/03/2026: I had lunch at Nino's in Rome with my wife and daughter: the food was excellent, traditional dishes carefully prepared using fresh ingredients; generous portions and authentic flavors. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We had a lovely chat with Nino, who made us feel right at home: helpful, friendly, and passionate about his work. Recommended for family lunches and for anyone seeking authentic Roman cuisine.

12/02/2026: On Via Merulana, a trattoria serving simple, traditional flavors, exudes the conviviality and warmth of Roman hospitality. The amatriciana you'll find here will satisfy even the most discerning palates—a must-try.

20/01/2026: A lovely place in the heart of Marino's historic center. It's always a pleasure to return to eat here. We hadn't been there in years, and we returned on Saturday with a couple of friends who are regulars. The pizza is truly excellent, classic Roman pizza, thin and crispy. The quality of the ingredients is good. The homemade suppli are also excellent. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, as is the rest of the family-run atmosphere, making you feel truly at home. The first courses are also excellent. Good value for money, and the desserts are also really good. We opted for the tiramisu and the pear and chocolate cake, which were truly delicious. Highly recommended.

18/01/2026: The place is very nice, the staff is friendly. I ordered pizza with others, but after a long wait and a prompt reply, I was informed they were out of an ingredient. We agreed on a change. Given the mix-up, they offered me the pizza for free. I thank the owner for this, but I think they have a problem with the oven. The pizza was well-cooked on the edges but undercooked in the center, which is a shame because the toppings were good. I really enjoyed the tiramisu dessert.

06/09/2025: The food is excellent, and the young and very friendly staff are just steps from the center and the sea. There are a few tables outside, which are quite quiet. The price is fair for the quality of the food. We'll definitely be back.

06/09/2025: September review, so not high season. This restaurant is a mix of Ligurian and Roman cuisine, which is why it was chosen. When we arrived, we waited a bit for our orders to be taken. The bread wasn't the best; I honestly hope it's from the day before, because no Italian would ever choose a baker who offers hard, crusty bread that's truly difficult to eat. After a 1.20-minute wait, I tried to push for our drinks to leave. The couple at the table next to us had the same thought. At that moment, the waitress arrived with plates for another table and began by saying, "But if instead of 5 amatriciana and 1 gricia, I get 5 gricia and 1 amatriciana, are you going to blame me?" We were shocked, thinking, "Who would they blame?" Finally, our dishes arrived. Good food, eaten in a hurry and very hungry after an hour and a half of waiting. At the cash register, the waitress asked us if we liked the pasta and that the wait was due to the fact that it was freshly made. NO, it wasn't homemade pasta; it was certainly industrially made, good quality, but it didn't justify an hour and a half wait. They offered a liqueur, whether as a matter of course or to make up for the delay, it's unclear. Paying in cash, the receipt never arrived. Honestly, it was the staff's attitude that left me perplexed, almost their pride in making people wait with the restaurant half-empty.

13/06/2025: Estuvimos en Roma por un período muy corto de tiempo y me había recomendado este restaurante por un italiano y realmente deseaba que no me hubiera molestado y fui a una de las muchas otras ofertas increíbles. Hice un montón de investigación para una comida familiar especial y este lugar parecía obtener buenas críticas, pero por favor no se deje engañar. Cuando llegamos vimos que había una mesa vacía para 4 fuera y como había reservado una mesa al aire libre con antelación presumí que era para mí y mi familia. Un señor mayor (que supongo que era el propietario) me dio una mirada como para decir esperar antes de sentarse, que era lo suficientemente justo. Cuando se dio cuenta de que lo habíamos reservado nos sentamos en la mesa exterior. Hay muy pocas mesas fuera, tal vez 4 o 5 y el restaurante no es tan grande por dentro. El restaurante está situado en una calle más pequeña con un montón de restaurantes ocupados cerca con mesas exteriores. Esperábamos mucho tiempo mientras nos sentábamos a la mesa y nadie vino a vernos para darnos un menú u ofrecernos una bebida y tuvimos 2 niños pequeños y ya era tarde así que terminé entrando yo misma a buscar un menú. Por lo que pude ver solo había un camarero joven y un caballero mayor trabajando en el piso sirviendo, lo que obviamente no fue suficiente para un sábado por la noche para dar buen servicio y se notó. A la hora de pedir explicamos que éramos bastante flexibles y teníamos unas cuantas ideas de qué comer sin embargo el camarero más joven nos estaba guiando para comer platos diferentes de lo que realmente queríamos, que también estaba bien. Nuestro hijo más pequeño solo quería una pasta de rigatoni simple con mantequilla y nuestro otro hijo que tiene alergia a los lácteos pidió un ragu de cola de buey con rigatoni sin queso. Mientras esperábamos a nuestros antipasti nos dijeron dos veces que nos traían un ‘regalo’ y con eso finalmente llegó un plato con 4 piezas de pan (sin aceite de oliva que me pareció extraño ya que en Italia el aceite de oliva siempre es un alimento básico) y 4 pequeños tazones de una sopa de curry fría que me pareció inusual para un restaurante que se enorgullece de los auténticos platos romanos. El primer plato en llegar fue la mantequilla de pasta sin embargo esta fue con una pasta larga fresca (similar al tagliatelle o pappardelle) sin embargo no fue lo que pedimos ya que a mi hijo solo le gusta la pasta corta que había explicado en el momento de pedir. Nos sirvió la pasta el dueño que sorprendentemente declaró que "cortaría la pasta larga para hacerla más corta" y que "simplemente la comería ya que es una pasta mejor", que no era el punto, no era lo que pedimos o lo que quería. Volví al restaurante para encontrar y hablar con el maitre d ya que eran tan cortos de personal que no había un miembro del personal a la vista, todos parecían estar en la cocina. Finalmente vino y me dijo que tendría que esperar 13 minutos para que la pasta se cocinara, pero mi otro hijo también había pedido rigatoni, así que seguramente se cocinarían juntos al mismo tiempo, lo sabíamos cuando pedimos, ya que sabemos cuánto tiempo se tarda en cocinar la pasta seca, sin embargo, habían cometido el error, pero no quisieron reconocerlo. A regañadientes se lo llevó y aceptó hacer el plato que pedimos. Luego llegó la pasta de mi otro hijo, el ragu, sin embargo de nuevo habían traído la pasta equivocada y trajeron un ragu de pasta larga en lugar de rigatoni sin embargo él tenía tanta hambre y no se molestó tanto y dijo que se lo comería así que el camarero nos lo dejó. Dos minutos más tarde el camarero volvió corriendo y agarró el plato de ragu de mi hijo y le preguntó si había comido algo que no había comido y dijeron que había lácteos presentes en él y que tendrían que rehacerlo! De nuevo, otro error sin disculpas. Esto se estaba convirtiendo en una comedia de errores. Le habíamos dicho al camarero de sus alergias al principio de la comida, ya que no nos lo habían pedido. Mientras tanto mi esposa y yo teníamos un entrante de la ‘legendaria’ berenjena picada y supli (que estaban fríos) pedimos 1 pero trajeron 2 y nos cobraron por 2. Para el plato principal tenía el ossobuco que sentí que me empujaron a pedir y no el plato romano clásico que estaba buscando, sin embargo, era bueno. Mi esposa tenía una carbonara con trufas que era muy al dente y no pipping caliente y muy promedio. Eventualmente los niños recibieron los platos que pidieron, pero después de haber comido el nuestro, no comimos juntos en familia, que no es lo que esperas cuando comes en un restaurante caro de esta naturaleza. No hubo disculpas, no hubo nada, se sintió como si estuviéramos en el error y nos hicieron sentir no bienvenidos. Durante la comida se hicieron comentarios extraños como “no te comas todo el pan que te estropeará el apetito” sin embargo habíamos esperado tanto tiempo por cualquier comida que no tuvimos opción, pero independientemente de lo extraño que le digas a alguien cuando lo pones en una mesa diciendo que fue un regalo. Sin pedir más pan trajeron más durante la comida. Lo único que pedí fue aceite de oliva que venía en un plato pequeño de Ramekin. En esta etapa solo queríamos comer e irnos y estábamos cansados y nos sentíamos muy incómodos, así que declinamos tomar postres o cafés, ya que realmente no queríamos pasar un minuto más allí y no queríamos esperar una hora más, a pesar de que el camarero nos estaba presionando para tener el 'mejor tiramisú' en Roma! No, gracias. Cuando llegó la factura me di cuenta de que nos habían cobrado por 2 porciones de pan y aceite de oliva por separado. Cuando les expliqué lo del pan intentaron decir que era un cargo de cobertura y nunca he visto que se cobrara aceite de oliva en ningún restaurante del mundo y he comido en muchos! Continuaron discutiendo conmigo y trajeron el menú para mostrarme dónde indica que hay un cargo por aceite, mi culpa no lo vi, pero vamos... ¿qué sigue cobrando por el queso parmesano, sal y pimienta? ¿Dónde trazas la línea? Lo siguiente que una señora llegó a nuestra mesa con una máquina de cartas y comenzó a gritarme preguntándome qué quería que hicieran y simplemente le expliqué tranquilamente que solo espero pagar por lo que había ordenado y realmente esperaba que hubiera un gesto de buena voluntad por su parte por todos los errores, en particular el alérgeno que podría haber sido un problema mayor. Pero no había empatía, no tenía sentido en absoluto. Créeme, esta señora me gritó y gritó durante tanto tiempo delante de mis hijos de una manera tan grosera como si hubiera hecho algo tan terrible y como si estuviera en el error y, para ser honesta, ella solo se hizo ver como alguien sin educación, ya que todo el mundo la estaba mirando, realmente espero que haya valido la pena porque su aceite de oliva barato de 2 euros realmente no lo fue! Cuando nos alejamos, un hombre suizo se acercó corriendo y nos explicó que estaba sentado en la mesa detrás de nosotros y que tuvo una experiencia muy similar y escuchó la terrible manera en que me hablaron y me explicó que también trataron de estafarlos con la cuenta y cobrarles de más y tuvieron una experiencia similar con la comida. Parecía un caballero muy respetuoso y llevó a sus padres ancianos a una comida que también le recomendó una persona italiana, no les diré la palabra que solía describir al personal del restaurante, pero no fue una palabra agradable como estoy seguro que pueden imaginar, pero fue muy cierto! Esta fue, con mucho, la peor y más impactante experiencia que he encontrado en un lugar público y no puedo enfatizar lo suficiente cómo este lugar debe evitarse si desea una agradable noche feliz, ya que estas personas no se preocupan por sus clientes. Al final del día no cuesta nada ser educado, especialmente si estás en el negocio y eres un independiente privado. No eres nada sin tus clientes, cuida de ellos y ten respeto ya que son el alma de tu negocio! ¡Nunca debes dejar que un cliente se vaya con sabor agrio! ¡Qué vergüenza!

02/06/2025: Dopo aver girovagato tra i ristoranti turistici del rione Parione (piazza Navona) alla ricerca disperata di un ristorante non turistico, ci siamo imbattuti in “La pace del Palato”. Finalmente un ristorante che parla romano, la simpatia del titolare, la bontà delle portate (Carbonara strepitosa) ci hanno fatto passare una bella serata, dopo la stanchezza di una giornata in una Roma bollente e affollatissima!!!

04/06/2025: Frequento questo ristorante regolarmente e ogni volta è una conferma: semplicemente eccellente. Dall’antipasto fino al secondo, tutto è sempre curato nei minimi dettagli. In particolare, la guancia è stata spettacolare: tenera, saporita e cotta alla perfezione. Il personale è sempre cordiale, disponibile e molto attento, creando un’atmosfera accogliente e piacevole. Una nota di merito anche per il vino, consigliato direttamente dal proprietario: una scelta azzeccatissima che ha esaltato i sapori dei piatti. Un posto che consiglio vivamente a chi cerca qualità, calore e una cucina davvero appagante.

11/03/2026: A nice little find that we stumbled upon while visiting the Spanish steps. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable without the over charges we have been experiencing. Highly recommend!

11/03/2026: Review went way down when the waiter requested for tip. And when we decided, fine why not. But we had no change, and requested for change, but smallest bill was a 10... This isn't a tip culture location

15/03/2026: We booked dinner for four in the outdoor dining room. Unfortunately, the place isn't the most beautiful, but the service was top-notch. Excellent value.

07/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. We were a table of 13 and were recommended sharing platters of fried foods, a common option for groups. Several platters arrived with supplì, zucchini flowers, fried cheese, and other fried foods, but each piece was then charged at the price of the individual appetizer listed on the menu. In effect, we ended up paying for multiple appetizers each, a fact that hadn't been made clear when ordering. The portions turned out to be much larger than we expected for "sharing" dishes, so much so that we had to cancel the service. We also ordered 6 carbonaras, which were unfortunately inedible (very rubbery pasta and burnt guanciale). After pointing this out, the staff informed us that the pasta was precooked; so we decided to send them back. The courses were removed from the bill, but the total was still around €55 per person. Overall, a very disappointing and opaque experience. We won't be returning.

08/08/2025: The location is truly beautiful. The places to eat or have an aperitif are truly overpriced. With an aperitif, you don't even need two chips or peanuts.

07/07/2025: I expected more stalls with books and interesting things, instead I only found the usual things to eat that you eat in the common pubs, and stalls with objects that you can buy for much less in the markets.... Then walking along the Tiber an unpleasant smell of sewers. Disappointing...not to mention the buses that skip trips and the metro with rude people, sleepers on the seats occupying 4 or five, homeless people, and at the stops no type of control by the armed forces. Practically anything can happen and no one sees anything.
