25/03/2025: I walked in at 9pm, a hungry tourist, with my wife back in the accomodation waiting for food, I was served with impeccable service by the gentleman, and even though I asked to take-away my food, I was treated with top notched hospitality regardless. I asked if I could have something to drink, I ordered red wine and was served promptly with an accompanying snack by the service staff. My food orders took 15 mins to prepare and upon payment then did I realise the wine was complimentary. I felt so welcomed by their hospitality that I had to buy them some good tiramisu nearby as thanks. Needless to say. Wife and I had a good dinner that night. Thank you.

14/04/2025: Last March, I had the opportunity to participate in a birthday dinner, offered on the basis of a menu based on pizza and fried foods. The pizzas were good, but the fried foods left something to be desired: supplì with overcooked rice and inedible courgette flowers. The venue - equipped with plenty of seating - often hosts groups of tourists who are entertained with live music and singing. If you love deafening singing entertainment, this is for you!

27/03/2025: Ottima cena, vera cucina romana con piatti ben fatti come la gricia, il cacio e pepe, la coda alla vaccinara e una trippa da leccarsi i baffi, carta dei vini ben fornita, servizio veloce e simpatico. Prezzo nella media. Torneremo sicuramente.

27/03/2025: Sono stata con la mia famiglia a mangiare in quest'enoteca dopo essermi stata consigliata da amici. Ci siamo trovati benissimo, la cucina romana come la mangio quando vado nella capitale, anzi, alcuni piatti come il cacio e pepe ancora più buoni. Poi carciofi alla giudia e puntarelle, una meraviglia. Il titolare è simpatico e preparato, sempre pronto a spiegare i piatti e ad abbinare i giusti vini. La spesa è stata di 43 euro a testa mangiando antipasti, primi, contorni e dolci per quattro persone più una bottiglia di frascati superiore. Consigliatissimo!

16/02/2025: Typical Roman village tavern, in the historic and popular Quarticciolo. Excellent tripe with mint, nice boiled quail eggs with anchovies and pepper, delicious supplì. The quail is absolutely worth tasting, served with mushrooms and olives and accompanied by chicory, sautéed or sour. Decent house wine, a simple and sincere Sangiovese also drunk with dipped tozzetti. Friendly and helpful owner, there were 3 of us, on a Sunday at 2.40pm without a reservation and despite it being full, in 10 minutes he set up an outdoor table for us under the wonderful sun on a beautiful February day, we were the last to leave, almost at 4pm and they didn't put any pressure on us, on the contrary hospitable and friendly until the end. Excellent value for money with rounding up to the bill, always a welcome gesture. I will certainly return.

28/03/2025: Sono arrivato in questo posto con una parabola improvvisa. Un mio caro amico ottimo ristoratore di Milano, viene a Roma e va a cena a La Pace del Palato. Quando lo incontro a Milano dice a me che abito in Roma Centro se fossi mai stato in questo posto. Gli dico che non lo conoscevo me ne parla molto bene e decido di andarci con mia moglie. È stata una bellissima sorpresa: autentico, eccellente, originale ma tradizionale. Cucina impeccabile e gustosa. Bravi, bravi e ancora bravi. E poi accoglienza e servizio distintivi, una cosa che non si vede più: gente che ama il proprio lavoro e che lo fa con passione, dal proprietario il sig. Renato al personale di sala, in particolare il giovane metre che suggerisce piatti e vini con professionalità, discrezione, gentilezza e sincera passione. Bravissimo anche lui. Ci siamo sentiti accolti come in casa nostra. In un mondo popolato da ristoratori filibustieri e non appassionati a clienti incivili, la Pace del Palato è una perla rara. Torneremo presto.

23/03/2025: La mia seconda volta in questo ristorante ha totalmente confermato che bisogna tornarci. Il proprietario Renato e la moglie sono persone gentilissime, accolgono gli ostili con quella simpatia tipicamente romana ma senza esagerare. Una menzione merita il servizio soprattutto quello di ieri sera, oserei dire perfetto. Passiamo ai piatti, qualità molto alta e piatti buonissimi, tutti dal primo all’ultimo compreso il caffè ( in tazzina con coperchio per mantenerlo caldo). Anche qui menzione particolare merita il tiramisù ( 10 e lode). Passiamo al prezzo che è medio alto, ma tutti meritati vista qualità e servizio e scelta di vini. L’ambiente è molto carino, non tantissimi tavoli, ma io lo preferisco. Vi consiglio di prenotare.

24/02/2025: Ristorante di cucina tipica Romana nel cuore di Velletri. Cucina veramente tradizionale, cucinata con amore. La signora Paola gestisce la sala come se fosse in casa sua in modo cordiale e accogliente, pronta a sentire e accontentare le esigenze dei commensali , sempre col sorriso sulle labbra. Veramente consigliatissimo! Ci tornerò sicuramente

The owner, Paola, is friendly and welcoming, always greeting us like family members. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Velletri.

02/04/2025: We had the ricotta tortelloni and fried gnocchi with Parma ham. Also the beef fillet with Modena sauce. A real killer! As a dessert, a Bavarian cake with walnut alcohol, delicious. Super fast service. The youth team is very efficient and cheerful!

23/03/2025: Great authentic food in historic Roma. We were recommended here by our air bnb host and it didn’t disappoint. It was filled with locals even though we were five minutes from the Spanish Steps. The menu was simple but delicious.

11/04/2025: Dishes with very little quantity and very expensive for what they serve. It took 45 minutes to serve us and the waiters were quite unpleasant. I don't recommend it. I give 3 stars because of the location and because the food wasn't bad, but the worst thing by far was the service.

19/04/2025: Dining room and kitchen in one room, a stench of cooked and fried food that soaks into your clothes and hair. As soon as they see you open the door to go out for a cigarette, they come after you to close it right away. There was no air, with the heat from the kitchen it was unbearably hot, the place had no ventilation. The waiters were very young and all polite, the problem was only with the owner, a young girl with long blond hair that flew freely left and right between the kitchen/dining room and therefore the diners. Unfriendly, she didn't even smile at the customers by mistake. Unfortunately if you are not capable of being in contact with people it would be better to avoid opening a restaurant business. Amatriciana was overcooked and the sauce was watered down. Terrible experience.

14/02/2025: Trattoria tipica, gestita da molti anni dalla stessa famiglia, dove trovate tutti i piatti romani della tradizione: amatriciana, carbonara, cacio e pepe (tutti ottimi e abbondanti), così come baccalà con patate (il venerdì), trippa (dovrebbe essere di sabato, ma sono chiusi, per cui la trovate il venerdì), e molti altri, tra cui carni di vario taglio alla piastra. Ottime le verdure ripassate in padella, dolci classici. Molto frequentata da lavoratori della zona o di passaggio, e da clienti affezionati che conoscono il posto (periferia sud di Roma, zona Magliana). Fermatevi a chiacchierare con il proprietario, nipote della vera signora Tedesca che ha dato il nome alla trattoria: memoria storica del posto, è una fonte inesauribile di aneddoti riguardanti la sua famiglia Italo-tedesca, nonché collezionista delle molte anticaglie che riempiono il locale. Prezzi più che onesti, data la qualità delle portate.
