The food was delicious, very well prepared and freshly made, with that authentic touch that is so appreciated. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place that we will return to. 🍝✨

17/05/2026: I don't usually write reviews, but honestly, paying €61 for just two (undeniably excellent) first courses, a glass of wine, a Coke, and two coffees seems really excessive!!! The amatriciana was passable, but the cacio e pepe was just plain pasta with pepper; and then €9 for a glass of house wine, I'm speechless. It's a shame because the location is very nice, but I don't want to be taken in like that.

16/05/2026: We are leaving this restaurant deeply disappointed. We came here because of the reviews, where many people praised the dishes and pasta. However, we experienced something completely different. The quality of the service was very poor. Our orders were not fulfilled properly, either in terms of quality or quantity, and several things we requested were never brought to us. On top of that, the food itself — especially the carbonara — was almost inedible. There were only three or four small pieces of bacon or ham visible in it. It did not resemble the kind of carbonara we are used to in Rome at all. Furthermore, it was so excessively peppery that one of us could not even eat it. We had also read in the reviews that the staff were very open and helpful. We pointed out the problem, but the response we received was simply: “This is how it’s made.” Finally, they did not leave the bill on the table for us to check, despite what we believe were excessively high charges.

30/05/2026: We were allowed to sit down even though the staff were still eating (scusi e grazie mille!). We thoroughly enjoyed the traditional Roman cuisine there!

01/06/2026: The bacalao was absolutely delicious and looked fantastic. Unfortunately, it was served with potato chips, which, while good, were an odd choice. Regular roasted potatoes would have been much more suitable. But things are often different in Italy. Still, it was a strange combination. I'd gladly return for the bacalao and ask for a different side dish next time. Thankfully, it's not too touristy there; it's pleasantly quiet and cozy.

13/05/2026: We went to the trattoria based on recommendations we received for good value for money, which is true. We faced a short queue, but the friendliness of the employee who greeted us made up for it. We sat outside, and the bonus was a view of the Colosseum. We ordered the tomato suppli as an appetizer (a fried rice ball), shrimp risotto, carbonara, and lasagna, accompanied by a liter of house red wine. The best dish was the carbonara, very tasty. The lasagna was very good. The risotto left much to be desired, including the seasoning, but especially because there was an expectation of having some shrimp in the dish and only 1 came. We found this very disappointing. They don't charge a cupperto or a fixed tip, you give what you think is best. The employees are really very kind and friendly and do everything for good service. It's the restaurant's biggest highlight. Regarding the environment, I deducted one star because of the bathroom, as there was only one stall available for everyone (creating a queue) and the tap didn't work (they connected a hose to a tap below to turn it on when washing hands). I believe they could have paid more attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom and to this tap issue.

13/05/2026: A complete disappointment. The pizza base is removed from the plastic packaging and baked with toppings. You order drinks from one waiter and food from another – strange. Overall, a waste of time; I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from. Tasteless.

08/08/2025: The location is truly beautiful. The places to eat or have an aperitif are truly overpriced. With an aperitif, you don't even need two chips or peanuts.

07/07/2025: I expected more stalls with books and interesting things, instead I only found the usual things to eat that you eat in the common pubs, and stalls with objects that you can buy for much less in the markets.... Then walking along the Tiber an unpleasant smell of sewers. Disappointing...not to mention the buses that skip trips and the metro with rude people, sleepers on the seats occupying 4 or five, homeless people, and at the stops no type of control by the armed forces. Practically anything can happen and no one sees anything.

25/07/2026: Terrible first and second courses. The staff wasn't particularly up to par, and the guy (the owner, I presume) was truly unprofessional and unhelpful... I would never go back.

25/07/2026: I was reading the other reviews 😂🤣😂 and I see that the location is in line (like, what a shame we've only been doing that for years). I can understand that negative criticism isn't appreciated, but at least making it constructive would be helpful. Anyway. Everything started badly already with the menu, and I don't want to go into details. The food was awful, whether it was fish, meat, or pasta. The staff was more or less up to par, but the guy (the owner, I think) certainly wasn't. Then, when we asked for a beer, they told us they didn't have any, which seems paradoxical in a restaurant. Furthermore, when we said the food wasn't well prepared, the guy responded in kind, telling us that we were the ones in the wrong, while there were three chefs at the table who certainly know their stuff. Anyway... I would never go back there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Sorry...!

My friend and I were seated at a table, a menu was left, and for a long time no one came to take our order. Then, one of the waiters simply told me in a harsh tone that I needed to move my bag from behind my chair and walked away without any explanation. I then called another waiter and asked where I should put my bag. Instead of helping, he acted extremely rudely and condescendingly. He snatched my bag from my hand and hung it on the table using a hook he pulled from his pocket. If the intention was to warn us about possible theft, it could have been said politely. There is no justification for treating anyone like that. What was most disturbing was that throughout this whole process, they still didn't ask about our order. We truly felt like unwanted guests. I don't know the reason for this attitude, of course, but at that moment they strongly conveyed the feeling that we were being treated differently and less valued than other customers. The quality of a restaurant is determined not only by its food but also by the respect its staff shows to people. We received neither respect nor hospitality here. After this experience, I definitely do not recommend this place. If you value yourself and your money, I suggest you choose another restaurant that will truly make you feel like a customer. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst and most humiliating restaurant experiences I've ever had. My friend and I were shown to a table, given menus, and then completely ignored. No one came back to take our order. After a long wait, one of the waiters approached us only to rudely tell me to move my bag from the back of my chair, then walked away without any explanation. I called another waiter and politely asked where I should put my bag instead. Rather than responding politely, he spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner. He actually pulled the bag from my hands and hung it on a small hook that he took out of his pocket. If the intention was to protect my belongings from possible theft, a simple, polite explanation would have been more than enough. There was absolutely no reason to treat a customer this way. What made the experience even worse was that, after all of this, no one still bothered to ask for our order. We were made to feel completely unwelcome. I cannot know the reason for the way we were treated, but it genuinely felt as though we were considered less worthy of respect than other customers. A restaurant should be judged not only by its food but by the way it treats people. Unfortunately, we experienced neither respect nor hospitality here. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you value being treated with basic courtesy and respect, I strongly suggest choosing another restaurant.

What was truly disturbing was that despite all this, our order still hadn't been taken. For minutes, we were completely ignored. We felt not like customers, but like people who were unwanted there. Of course, I don't know the reason for this attitude; However, they clearly made us feel that we were being treated differently, less valued, and less important than other customers. Causing a customer to feel this way is, in itself, a serious service failure. The true quality of a restaurant is measured not only by its cuisine but also by the respect its staff shows to people, their communication style, and their hospitality. Unfortunately, we found none of these here. This experience turned a pleasant dinner into an unforgettable and unpleasant memory. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. If you value yourself, your time, and your money, I suggest you choose another restaurant that treats its customers with respect and truly knows how to host its guests.
