28/02/2026: A welcoming place, like the historic trattorias, but the food is very good. Good offal, excellent steak, excellent lamb, excellent artichokes. They didn't provide us with a menu to see the prices. Service is quick and fairly attentive. They also make pizza, but we didn't try it. Only the focaccia was very good. I would definitely return. I recommend it.

04/03/2026: I absolutely loved this place ! It deserves much higher reviews in my opinion. I didn’t want to go to a place where people were outside trying to get you to come inside and landed on here. The staff were so friendly and easy to talk to and the place was very welcoming. I read a review about staff not wanting to be here but the staff were laughing with each other and having a great time! The pizza I got was amazing and they even made it into a heart shape for me which was so nice. The dessert was very good as well. Since I was by myself the staff came to talk to me and offered to cut my pizza for me for later which was also so nice of him. Honestly if you want amazing food and amazing service I would definitely come here.

16/02/2026: Pros: The food is good, and the place is very close to the slaughterhouse, making it very convenient if you're visiting an exhibition or event. Cons: It's overcrowded, and the service is a bit sketchy (but the staff are very friendly). It was probably once a true Roman trattoria, but now it has a falsely traditional atmosphere that's a bit unnerving. All things considered, there's a lot to be done to improve the value for money.

12/02/2026: Beautiful place, I had a great time with my beautiful girlfriend Emanuele. I enjoyed all the courses and the great professionalism of Antonia, a truly friendly and knowledgeable woman. Excellent experience, I recommend it.

18/02/2026: A group of five stopped for lunch while visiting Ariccia. I must say, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We were greeted just like at a classic Roman osteria, with their warmth and helpfulness. The lunch was truly excellent, the portions generous, and the bill more than fair. I highly recommend a stop at "Dar Compare."

20/12/2025: The location is basic but welcoming. The girls serving are very kind. If you want a full meal, I recommend the half portions of the starters. Everything was good, though; the tiramisu was amazing, like being at home.

And the desserts… I’m convinced they were sent directly from heaven. No other explanationNow let’s talk about the part that shocked us the most — the price. Three people. Starter, main course, dessert, 1L of wine at the table plus 1.5L of wine to take away. Less than 100€. In Milan. 02/03/2026: Giulio Pane e Ojo’s decor, service and lively atmosphere made me feel cosy, welcome and totally at home; I might have been eating the Italian equivalent of my grandma’s home cooking. I’ve always wanted to try chicory, so we started with the sautéed chicory with chilli pepper, oil and garlic and the ‘Roman’ fried zucchini flowers with mozzarella and anchovies. I honestly can’t remember what the tomato dish was called but we enjoyed everything. The spaghetti Cacio e Pepe was perfectly seasoned and the pasta like nothing I have ever tasted in Australia. The pasta with chickpeas and kale was also tasty and so satisfying. Dessert of apple pie and chocolate soufflé with pistachio cream did not disappoint. Highly recommend this traditional, country style restaurant.

06/02/2026: I arrived at this little place at 1:45 PM for an alternative lunch, but unfortunately, it completely disappointed my expectations. It was closed, despite the fact that the Google hours listed it as closing at 2:30 PM. One person inside, lost in scrolling, didn't even bother to say hello, but simply raised his hand to say 'DONE!' High expectations miserably disappointed.

06/01/2026: Takeout dinner. We had two very good burgers, a Joe Black and a Baconator, with classic and sweet potato fries. The owner is kind and helpful. The wait was short, but you can order ahead and pick up when it's ready. The place is small but very cute and unique. Recommended for those who want a quality burger, perhaps with some original combinations.

07/03/2026: Elegance, comfort, quality, excellent service. It's got everything it deserves, with several dining rooms, all welcoming, especially the one with the red sofas and leather chairs. The meat was excellent, perfectly cooked. For appetizers, the tripe was delicious and well-cooked, as were the beans with pork rind. The waiters were courteous and the service was prompt—my compliments. The quality/price ratio was excellent.

11/03/2026: After exploring the Colosseum and getting tired, we took a break for lunch. Despite the crowd, our food arrived quickly, and the pizzas and ravioli we ate were delicious.

22/02/2026: Terrible service... 20 minutes for a menu, an hour for an appetizer of only cured meats, my girlfriend had to get up and ask for the dishes. An hour eating only bread, disoriented waiters, no organization... I closed a liter of house wine and I received half a liter... I came in at 1:00 and at 2:30 they brought me the appetizer... the first courses arrived, overcooked gnocchi and raw fettuccine with porcini mushrooms... I won't tell you the rest...

You can taste the attention paid to the selection and pairings, everything cooked to perfection. The quality-price ratio is fair, and the atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for a dinner with friends or enjoying a home-cooked meal. I always love coming back! 🍝🍷

15/02/2026: Looking for a restaurant that wasn't closed after 11 p.m., we stumbled upon this tavern, searching for some good meat. The atmosphere was very rustic, the staff was simply exquisite. I ate a tagliata of pure guduria, the meat as tender as butter. Unfortunately, due to the late hour, I didn't feel like trying dessert, but I did see some tiramisu going around, and I suggest returning as soon as possible to try the pasta dishes and the tempting arrosticini. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom, but that's okay.

04/03/2026: Probably some of the worst food ive ever had in Italy, let alone Rome. Wildly expensive, unripe tomatoes and poor quality pasta. Poor and slow service, no atmosphere, hates tourists even if you speak italian. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

02/12/2025: If you love treating yourself, you can't miss Simo.Restaurant. We went there on Sunday for lunch and decided to indulge in Simo's all-you-can-eat formula, and what can we say... everything was perfect, from the delicious, not-at-all-greasy fried appetizers to the phenomenal Roman classics, and finally the delicious main courses and side dishes, all topped off by Simo and the staff's friendliness, who make you feel right at home. The staff are very helpful, the service is fast, and the restaurant is gorgeous. Everything definitely exceeded our expectations. We'll be back to try other dishes, as well as the pinsa and pizza.
