23/06/2025: On May 31, 2025, around 17:00, I stopped by the restaurant after noticing one of the staff members writing on their signboard “Ask if we have a table.” Since I had already been wanting to try the place and it was just an hour before opening (they open at 18:00), I politely asked if there might be a spot for that evening at 18:00. The staff member replied rather curtly that they were fully booked. I found this confusing, as the signboard was actively being written at that very moment! Why invite people to inquire if there were no seats available?
Later that evening, I passed by several times (the bistro is right next to one of the best views in town), and I noticed many empty tables even as late as 20:00, by which time I would’ve already finished dinner. Unfortunately, this interaction left a disappointing impression.

Friendly and helpful staff!
All tables were booked but we managed to get a table thanks to a last minute cancellation.
Super delicious food especially the tuna tartare.
I recommend!!

21/07/2025: I must say we had a truly wonderful experience at Ristorante Garibaldi. We ate in the small outdoor piazza, nestled between the houses of the village of Bordighera Alta: a charming and peaceful setting, perfect for a pleasant evening.
The welcome was truly warm and friendly, with attentive and attentive service from the staff, always available without being intrusive.
We ordered fried fish, perfectly soft and crispy, a truly delicious fish couscous, a rich and flavorful mackerel prepared according to tradition, and a simple but well-executed pasta with clams. The portions were definitely satisfying, and the price seemed fair for the quality and location.
A place we recommend, especially for those who love Ligurian flavors and the authentic atmosphere of the old town.

24/04/2025: Ristorante molto accogliente e piacevole la sede principale è su tre piani ed è stato ristrutturato alcuni particolari sono interessanti come come la cantina, comunque si mangia fuori nella piazza dei prati e dei frati poi c'è una succursale in Piazza Barbieri ugualmente piacevole, in entrambi si mangia e beve molto bene piatti della tradizione Ligure.
24/04/2025: Nella nuova location in piazza barberi, abbiamo pranzato all aperto. Una bottiglia di bollicine di classe, antipasto medio.
Buono il primo: tagliatelle al ragù di agnello. Un piacevole stacco primaverile

17/06/2025: Locale piccolo ma bello, pulito. Ci sono i cartelli che dicono: sedetevi e aspettate se avete fretta andate al mc donald, perchè preparano i piatti al momento e quindi sono freschi e buoni. Piatti della cucina ligure.
12/06/2025: Trovato grazie a un reel su Finale e provato subito. Location piccola e alla buona e cibo autentico, gestori gentili e accoglienti. Abbiamo gustato degli ottimi gnocchi al nero di seppia ( porzioni abbondanti) e fritto misto molto buono e leggero. Addirittura fermato un secondo prima che fosse pronto perché già sazi. Servizio veramente attento al cliente e offertoci pure il limoncello ( bottiglia sul tavolo) . Prezzo assolutamente onesto. Bravi ragazzi continuate così, lo consiglio a tutti.

18/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato ieri sera da U Piccin : ambiente famigliare, gentile e accogliente, collocato all’interno del magico Borgo Castello di Loano.
Cucina del territorio, arricchita da stuzzichini goduriosi ( come le frittelline salate offerte durante l’attesa). Consigliatissimo il fritto misto e i contorni ( ottime le trombette con il pomodoro ) .
Ci torneremo presto!
17/05/2025: We had dinner here last night in this fantastic little restaurant run by a very kind and friendly family. The restaurant's internal room is very pleasant and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered a mixed appetizer for two (abundant), two mixed fried foods and a plate of baked potatoes. A bottle of white wine and a bottle of water. Everything was tasty, prepared with care. Unfortunately we were too full to try the desserts, but they also looked great! We had a really pleasant evening, and the bill considering everything was really cheap (60€). Highly recommended, thank you very much 🙏🏼

14/06/2025: Highly recommended, excellent food, excellent and quiet environment, friendly and professional staff. Only 10 minutes from Pietra Ligure. Definitely worth trying and trying again to savor a bit of the whole menu.

02/07/2025: returned yesterday after a very long time, the atmosphere, food and service are always excellent.
warm stockfish salad with potatoes, cherry tomatoes and taggiasca olives, an excellent dish to not feel heavy with the current temperatures, but I still couldn't resist a first course that I hadn't eaten in a long time: pansoti with spectacular walnut sauce, with lots of crumbled walnuts not only to garnish the dish but to enhance its flavour.
the dessert was a more than pleasant surprise: first time I tasted the basil cheesecake with chocolate flakes, very fresh and very well balanced.
I hope it won't be too long before I can return again, because 'C'era Una Volta - Trattoria Artigianale' for me is now a fixed point for the discovery or re-discovery of the flavours of Genoese cuisine.

24/05/2025: Excellent tavern a stone's throw from the spa in Genoa with dishes of the land cuisine, Genoese and otherwise. The menu is quite limited and is different from that of the usual Ligurian restaurants, the first courses and the meat-based second courses are all very good, the staff is courteous and helpful. Recommended for everyone and especially for those who want to try something different.

Very friendly staff, only flaw from this point of view is the very slow service even though it wasn't crowded.
Nice place with a wonderful view.
Prices too high in relation to the first point.
02/06/2025: Decent agriturismo with tables under a nice outdoor pergola. Lots of greenery around. Parking. The road is a bit narrow in the last 500 meters.

19/05/2025: Qualità del cibo ottima, la carne era tenerissima, consiglio di avere più alternative vegetariane, le verdure sono tutte fritte e di specificare meglio sul meno, la focaccina in realtà era ungnocco fritto. Vista sul golfo top, personale gentile, servizio scorrevole. Da provare anche i piatti del giorno
