10/11/2025: The food is absolutely delicious. I love the vongole pasta, and the fried dishes aren’t oily at all. The tiramisu is rich and creamy. The waitress is very nice and polite, and the atmosphere is beautiful when sitting outside.

31/08/2025: The focaccia was very good, the pansoti were undercooked, and we waited half an hour between the focaccia and the first course. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming.
22/08/2025: The staff is very courteous and professional. The location offers a truly picturesque view.
The dishes we ate were neither good nor bad. I would recommend using more salt, as some dishes were decidedly too salty and the flavors of the ingredients were truly missing. I would also recommend not asking the customer specifically if they want to leave a tip when paying by debit card, as this could be seen as inappropriate, almost rude.

12/09/2025: We came here based on a recommendation from our AirBnB landlord and we didnt regret it.
The place is apparently famous for the seafood dishes and it was indeed very fresh and tasty. I tried a local specialty 'Cappun Magru' which I never had before and it was really good.
The wine menu is impressive, featuring wines from all over the world at very reasonable prices. We ended up trying two local wines based on the recommendation of the owner. He was very helpful and talkative throughout the whole evening.
I recommend trying this place when you are in the area.

They offer traditional local dishes, with classic recipes or dishes elaborated with passion and flavor.
Good-quality house wine in bulk and an excellent selection of liqueurs and digestifs.
Rich and varied appetizers.
Recommended for a romantic dinner or a convivial occasion with friends, as the dining room is spacious enough to accommodate numerous tables.

08/12/2025: Unfortunately, it was significantly below expectations.
For what we ate, it was absolutely expensive. It was €42 per person, which became €40 for:
6 mixed appetizers - two cuculli, some panissa, some Russian salad, a sort of mini focaccia with stracchino cheese... maybe some farinata... I don't want to be wrong, but I think it was there. It was all decided by the owner with no other alternative. The portions were small, and obviously the cost is unknown since there's no menu.
5 first courses and a tripe... I don't know if it was considered a first or second course, but it makes little difference. The tripe was good, nothing special, but a real treat. The first courses were nothing special. The mandilli with pesto were good, but still simple. The spaghetti with octopus had very little sauce.
Two of them had veal with tuna sauce and fried calamari. The latter were mushy.
6 desserts were nothing special.
A bottle of Nebbiolo... here too, like everything else, there's no menu, so you don't know the price, or what wine it is; they bring it already opened.
The historic shop is fine, but that doesn't mean we're stuck in 1980; it means carrying on traditions, but in 2025.
Too bad, we were all hoping for something better, but for €40 I'd like to choose carefully what to eat and drink and know the cost.
I can't say I ate badly, but eating well is something else. It felt like a home-cooked dinner.
Tried it and that was it.
22/09/2025: I visited this trattoria with a group of 14 friends. The fixed menu cost €40 and included appetizers, a first course, a second course, dessert, coffee, and a liqueur.
The only real positive was the atmosphere: comfortable and familiar.
Otherwise, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
• Appetizers: sparse and not very generous. A tiny portion of Russian salad, a cucullo, and a small amount of panissa.
• First course: mandilli with mushroom sauce served in a baking dish so small it had to be shared between 4 or 5 people. It's a shame, because the sauce was good, but the quantities were truly ridiculous.
• Second course: pork loin with potatoes and mushrooms. This was truly absurd: a slice so small it looked like a slice of Hungarian salami. The waiter, noticing our disappointment, asked if we wanted more, but even then they were extremely stingy.
• Dessert: Calling a "green apple sorbet" a dessert, especially after such small portions, is truly embarrassing. The flavor was awful and completely unworthy of a €40 menu.
Furthermore, the wait between courses was long. Bread was always available, but it seemed more like a ploy to fill customers' stomachs than actual service. I don't eat bread, so I basically went hungry.
The staff, to be fair, was kind, but that doesn't make up for the menu management and overall poor quality.
Conclusion: €40 wasted. A pizza would have been much better. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend this restaurant.

17/09/2025: We ate outside in this beautiful little square in Borgo Castello in Loano in September 2025... we were not satisfied... the bread seemed old, the breadsticks were not packaged in little packets but artisanal ones and they were stale... The vegetable appetizer included for two a few pieces of dry farinata, a small omelette and pieces of savory herb pie, things that are also made at home... there was nothing, for example, some vegetables in batter or two balsamic onions to accompany. In short, without imagination, then I chose fish ravioli with hazelnuts but they didn't have much of a fishy flavor and the portion was minimal. For the second courses nothing appealed to me and like me I felt like I was at a table next to me, the same conclusion... the service was quite fast, few tables to serve and the girl serving was kind... The desserts were good, average, all in all a disappointment... I wouldn't go there again...
16/09/2025: The food is good, although not everything is freshly prepared. The lady serving the tables is friendly. The menu is typical Ligurian. I highly recommend it.

Albergo Ristorante Gian Maria
03/11/2025: We stayed for five nights during a Cinque Terre trek. The location was ideal for avoiding the crowds. A small supermarket across the street offered all sorts of products at reasonable prices. The room was simple, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and plentiful, just like at an Italian family's home!
14/10/2025: The hotel and restaurant are quiet, elegant, clean, and welcoming... the restaurant service is top-notch, Cristina, and the two fantastic waiters are truly excellent and know their stuff perfectly... congratulations to all three of them 👍
The manager, Gian, is a character, and once you get to know him, you realize he's a perfect, attentive man. The entire team is truly kind... the kitchen staff are truly excellent, and the team goes above and beyond... the cleanliness is due to the presence of women who do their jobs admirably. The rooms for couples are of a good standard, with the essentials. I was delighted to stay here and discover this place... I'll be back with friends to explore the Cinque Terre further and appreciate this place again.

23/11/2025: A top-notch venue for the quality of its dishes and cocktails.
Sublime tapas, made with top-quality ingredients. You can easily choose between three or four. The staff is extremely friendly and can recommend cocktail, wine, and beer pairings.
In the summer, the view of Bogliasco and the sunset is spectacular.
We'll definitely be back.

05/12/2025: An exceptional fritto misto, in a place that had been pilloried by a pompous food critic for a "wrong" fish soup. We ordered it as an appetizer, along with a nice bottle of Bianchetta Genovese. Fresh fish (squid, shrimp, red mullet, baby octopus, sardines) lightly floured, fried beautifully, fragrant on the outside and soft on the inside. One of the best I've eaten in recent years. The first courses stray slightly from the purest Ligurian tradition (after all, the owner has Emilian origins), but they do so with essential creativity and good taste: cacio e pepe risotto garnished with shrimp tartare; tagliatelle with monkfish, cherry tomato sauce, and chili powder on the edge of the plate. Simple combinations, which nevertheless allow you to appreciate the freshness of the fish: quality that's not a given on the Ligurian Riviera, where everyone wants to eat fish like there's no tomorrow, but few restaurants manage to offer truly fresh and well-cooked produce. If I remember correctly, the menu also included a more traditional seafood spaghetti. And mandilli with pesto. A good pesto. The definitive confirmation came with the baked sea bream (catch of the day): very fine but flavorful, crispy meat, with an aroma that only wild fish possess, served with two delicious side salads. The dishes and menus were brought to us by a waitress; another lady took care of the wine; the owner took our orders. Since Luca Iaccarino's review also blasted the staff, I feel it's only right to add that all of them treated us with absolute kindness and even friendliness. When we asked for the bill, we waited a little longer than expected (which is perfectly normal and can happen). Being in a bit of a hurry, we asked a second time, and the owner immediately made up for it, making light of the situation with a joke. We said goodbye with a laugh, satisfied with a wonderful evening. A lovely place, worth trying.

15/09/2025: We celebrated my mother's birthday (89 years old) at the request of my father (90), who fondly remembered dining at this restaurant with his family since he was young/child, a detail that testifies to the long history of this place. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming, the service very friendly, and the food truly excellent, with flavors reminiscent of tradition. It was a simple, authentic, and very pleasant lunch that made us feel right at home. A place we happily recommend and where we hope to return soon.
06/09/2025: Dedicated to those who love to eat well! Don't miss the spectacular cheese focaccias served with exceptional prosciutto. There are so many first courses, it's hard to choose. Then it gets even worse with the delicious, homemade dessert!

I've been going there forever! Excellent Genoese cuisine, top-quality food, generous portions, a very beautiful and welcoming place. It's located in a beautiful, quiet, green area where you can go for a walk after your meal... lots of free parking... Prices are in line with the excellent quality of the food (practically everything homemade).
06/12/2025: I went back for lunch with a coworker, and as always, the food was impeccable, but the price wasn't quite right. Two starters, one main course shared between two, water, and half a bottle of wine, totaled €25 each (workers). I was very disappointed and made a bad impression on my coworker. Too bad.
