18/04/2026: If you're looking for the true soul of Liguria, this trattoria in San Desiderio is a must-see. As soon as you step inside, you're enveloped in a magical, bygone atmosphere: the place is beautiful and meticulously crafted. It's a small museum of memories: the beautiful tube radios that decorate the rooms, the old birdcages, and the many antiques that tell the story of our region are all beautiful. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place that warms the heart. The food is a triumph of traditional Genoese cuisine: authentic dishes, expertly prepared with the finest ingredients. The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. A gem on the hills above Genoa that I highly recommend to anyone who loves quality and tradition. I'll definitely be back!

03/04/2026: We had lunch at this typical Genoese restaurant to celebrate my dad's birthday. We ate well, I can't say otherwise, but there were some areas where it could be improved. For appetizers, we chose panissette and cuculli, a dry and crispy fried dish, but a bit bland. The best choice was the minced raw meat, served with several side dishes. The first courses were excellent; we tried pansoti with walnut sauce, pesto lasagna (not the smoothest, but a bit grainy, just the way I like it), and tagliolini with mushrooms and tuna, a truly beautiful dish. For the second course, we sampled a generous and delicious fried calamari and artichokes, while the Italian-style fritto misto, which we had high hopes for, was a disappointment: for €22, it consisted almost entirely of vegetables; the only piece of meat was a 4x4 cm steak, along with a small piece of ham and cheese. Dessert was brought to us at the end of the meal, after the birthday cake: not exactly a good choice, given that one of the dish's strengths is the combination of flavors. Overall, it was a good lunch, although quite pricey: €50 per person, but not everyone chose three courses, and we brought our own dessert. The fried appetizer, in particular, at €8, is excessive; after all, we're talking about flour and water. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the staff was very courteous; perhaps the younger waiters need a little more experience. There's a small parking lot at the entrance, so I suggest grouping diners in as few cars as possible.

01/06/2026: Highly recommended! We went quite early, and I highly recommend it if you have kids, as the place fills up quickly. The fish and mussels were incredibly fresh, the Vermentino was excellent, and the trofie al pesto was superb! The waiters were kind, friendly, and welcoming to the kids. We had a great experience.

17/05/2026: For every special occasion, it remains my favorite restaurant in downtown Genoa, and I'm never wrong, whether it's the à la carte menu or the daily specials, or the wine cellar, including "unusual" champagnes, which I adore. As soon as the weather permits, I love the outdoor space, especially for lunch under the pergola. For me, it's an oasis of tranquility, peace, and a culinary experience in downtown Genoa.

18/01/2026: It's like stepping into authentic old Genoa. High-quality ingredients, a wonderful atmosphere, and a warm welcome. One of those historic osterias worth protecting.

02/05/2026: A very welcoming, old-school trattoria. My wife and I had panissa and frisceu for appetizers, followed by two portions of farinata, one chickpea and one white. We had two excellent craft beers, and since we were full, I ordered a sardenaria to go, which I enjoyed the next day—delicious! Excellent value, and friendly staff. The only downside, not attributable to the restaurant, is that it's located in the city center, making parking quite difficult.

01/01/2026: First of all... BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE!!! 👍 Good and plentiful food but not exceptional, excellent service. But unfortunately the prices are too high. It's a simple trattoria and not a Michelin-starred restaurant in Piazza Duomo in Milan or Piazza San Marco in Venice... Unfortunately, it was rejected, but only because of the prices!!

03/05/2026: The best surprise of our stay here. A super cute restaurant, a perfect, warm, and incredibly friendly welcome, the food is delicious, I even enjoyed the seafood thanks to their amazing cooking. Thank you! We'll be back!

06/05/2026: Clean hotel with good breakfast service, and there's a good seafood restaurant in the same building. Matteo, the owner, is very kind and helpful. A must-see for the Cinque Terre.

29/04/2026: Finally, a typical trattoria...and I say this as a Genoese. Excellent, authentic food at fair prices, served by kind and helpful staff. It's a shame it's in a quiet area away from the seafront, and from the outside, it doesn't really entice you to go in. The interior is informal, with wooden tables and stools, as a true trattoria SHOULD be...so, to all you pesky eaters, if you want glitz or a sea view, just walk 200 meters and you'll find everything you need, but watch out for the suppository.

19/04/2026: Excessive price in my opinion, 2 first courses, a portion of fried sardines, a small water, a small beer and a barley coffee 60 euros

09/05/2026: A dinner in the beautiful village of Sori. We had a lovely dinner, the food was excellent, with generous spaghetti with clams (the only flaw, in my opinion, was a bit too much oil), Ligurian-style sea bream, and a mixed fried fish dish. I'd recommend it to everyone, both good and bad. ☺️

05/04/2026: We were really hoping for something different, in terms of quality and service. Actually, nothing special about anything we tried: the octopus carpaccio was so thin it was hard to even understand the flavor, the squid au gratin was very limited (good, but frozen), and the trofie with squid ink and fish ragù was absolutely not good. Not a single piece of fish, it was very dry: just black. The least pleasant thing was that they seemed to be doing you a favor by having you sit down, which they didn't particularly appreciate. €114 written down on a piece of paper for two adults and a child.

03/05/2026: A charming restaurant. Aside from us, there were only locals. No one spoke English, which added to the atmosphere. The menu was written on a chalkboard. There were several vegetarian options. The food, coffee, and desserts were amazing. Delicious! The prices are the same as everywhere else.
