24/08/2025: A place where the fish is truly excellent. Beautifully cooked, generous portions, and very fair prices. Not to be missed.

04/08/2025: 1 star because 0 can't be used. My family and I were hungry and stopped by to see if there was room, we asked if we could sit down. Most of the tables were free, the waiter (an almost bald man) looked us over and over, then told us there wasn't enough room. As we walked past, throughout the evening, we noticed that the same empty tables had remained so. We're glad we gave ours to the unwelcoming and ungrumpy workers. HURRAY FOR THE RESTAURANT AL VICOLO

21/08/2025: Easy to get to (less than a 10-minute drive from the coast). Private parking. The interior is cozy and comfortable, complemented by a lovely terrace for al fresco summer dining. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The cuisine is amazing, with both seafood and meat dishes. Everything is delicious, but the capon magro and fish soup are truly exceptional. The wine list is well-stocked and perfectly complements the menu. Excellent value. Simply ESSENTIAL.

17/08/2025: We had two fish appetizers a special capon magro and a mixed seafood platter. Then we shared the mezzelune stuffed with cod and borage. And then two main courses: breaded anchovies (excellent) and grilled calamari. Finally, two desserts: chocolate mousse on filo pastry (amazing) and a delicious cannoli. Overall excellent rating. Recommended restaurant, also worth trying for the kindness of the staff, a rarity in Liguria.

16/08/2025: Excellent lunch, featuring typical Genoese cuisine. If requested in advance, they also make gluten-free Genoese fritters, suitable for celiacs.

29/07/2025: Always a positive experience, winter or summer, for a celebration with friends or just a few. The wine cellar is always unique and varied, with carefully selected local products. In summer, a cool, secluded and elegant garden welcomes you for peaceful evenings in the greenery. The owners are always very kind and attentive.

06/08/2025: Beautiful location, both indoors and outdoors, with interesting dishes and a menu full of excellent natural wines. However, when we were there, things weren't going well. The service was rude and cold, chaotic, and the wine was barely explained, even though that's what we came for and asked for. The food was good and the wine was okay, but it wasn't at all the refined experience we expected. We felt unwelcome and quickly resolved the issue.

07/09/2025: The best in the area (in my opinion) - location, service, top-notch menu (yesterday the service was a bit hitched by inexperienced staff during peak season). Always the best spaghetti allo scoglio in Italy!!!!

30/08/2025: We were a bit disappointed. The restaurant is elegant and welcoming, with a beautiful panoramic view of Alassio. It's a shame the dishes aren't as sophisticated, considering the prices. Parking is really difficult.

19/08/2025: The quality of the food at this restaurant is not worthy of the enchanting setting of Portofino Harbor, which suggests a culinary experience worthy of it. The food was not good. A tourist trap, avoid it.

27/07/2025: A restaurant with a truly evocative and romantic view. I honestly expected more from the dishes; they lacked a bit of character, making the taste very flat and bland. However, overall, I'd recommend it because the menu is traditional and typical, so it's always appreciated (and maybe that night the kitchen went badly, that happens).

25/07/2025: Dinner on the veranda with a splendid sea view. The menu features traditional Ligurian dishes. Medi's focaccias are fantastic, as are the cuculli. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but considering the location, the generous portions, and the quality of the food, I'd say the value for money is worth a visit. Just one note: since there are only a few seats, remember that reservations are required!

13/07/2025: Evening with old friends...from Modena to Familiare Excellent, high-quality food...every course was top-notch Cacio pepe rice and shrimp tartare to die for!!!

30/08/2025: Dinner with friends at the end of August. It's a shame it was a bit windy; perhaps a jacket would have helped (our fault, being inexperienced). The food and service were truly top-notch. I've been wanting to come here for a while, and I'm very happy with the choice. We ordered wine (Vermentino), a first course, a second course, and dessert. It cost about €40 each. Absolutely well spent; if they'd asked for €50, I wouldn't have blinked. The rabbit and cuttlefish were cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and honestly, they melted in your mouth. The first courses were also truly satisfying. It's a shame I didn't immediately see the squid ink gnocchi and that they ran out of peach tartare. These are more than enough reasons to return. I recommend the place, and I recommend not just wearing a summer shirt on windy days or at the end of summer.

30/08/2025: The restaurant's location (especially when you can eat outside) is almost kitsch-like. It feels like a movie set. The food is absolutely wonderful.

27/08/2025: Angelo's was recommended to me as the best focaccia in Recco, and indeed it is. Recco cheese focaccia is the best I've ever eaten. My family also loved it, and they were amazed by its deliciousness! No, that's not true! It's not expensive at all. In fact, excellent value for money!! We'll be back soon!

06/09/2025: Excellent Ligurian specialties, from farinata to minestrone, from ravioli aü tuccu to fried anchovies... I was able to make a reservation, and I think it's much better to do so, given how busy it is... Truly a great place, also for introducing Ligurian cuisine to friends who are visiting from out of town!!! Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of the dishes!!!

27/08/2025: The restaurant isn't affordable for the average person. I mention this for those who might still be misled about the nature of this former tavern, now a renowned restaurant. The price, however, is amply justified by the quality of the cuisine, which is simply superb. Farinata, vegetable fillings, anchovies: everything is simply delicious. The table service, however, leaves a bit to be desired. There's a certain improvisation, something that unfortunately has become increasingly common since COVID. Worse, since this is no longer a typical trattoria, diners aren't offered a menu. The waiter is sent with an order book, as if it were still a relatively inexpensive trattoria. Finally, I realize it's foolish to order beer in a place like this. But they can't even serve a bad beer.

21/07/2025: I must say we had a truly wonderful experience at Ristorante Garibaldi. We ate in the small outdoor piazza, nestled between the houses of the village of Bordighera Alta: a charming and peaceful setting, perfect for a pleasant evening. The welcome was truly warm and friendly, with attentive and attentive service from the staff, always available without being intrusive. We ordered fried fish, perfectly soft and crispy, a truly delicious fish couscous, a rich and flavorful mackerel prepared according to tradition, and a simple but well-executed pasta with clams. The portions were definitely satisfying, and the price seemed fair for the quality and location. A place we recommend, especially for those who love Ligurian flavors and the authentic atmosphere of the old town.
