28/03/2026: I went back to this restaurant and it was a huge disappointment. Don't go there.

27/03/2026: In the ranking of bad pasta dishes, O Bansin's seafood spaghetti is second only to French spaghetti. Pale and soggy, it arrived three minutes after ordering—who knows why?!? I'm a no-nonsense person, and anything goes as long as the bill is fair for the quality of the dishes. Not so here, thumbs down.

02/03/2026: The place isn't bad—large, spacious, and bright—but otherwise, I wasn't at all satisfied. They offered us a menu with mixed appetizers, ravioli, penne with scampi, fried fish, and roast. The appetizers were fine, and not bad, like the ravioli. The penne with scampi were awful, and the pasta was overcooked and full of tomato sauce; in fact, all you could taste was that. After quite a wait, the main courses for 11 people arrived—two dishes of each. Instead of the roast, it was roast beef. At that point, we ordered a cutlet and fries for two (only one arrived after a long time, but it was sent back). At that point, we had the cake we brought, but the desserts on the menu never arrived. We had coffee, and finally, we went home unsatisfied.

14/02/2026: We went on a Sunday with friends and overall we didn't have a great time. The food was average and the wait time was acceptable.

26/01/2026: Da Angelo is certainly no longer what I knew. The dishes served don't rise above mediocrity. Perhaps it was a quiet night, but the menu was rather limited. The service is inattentive, and the atmosphere is decidedly tired.

02/11/2025: Rustic and old-fashioned, warm and welcoming. The staff is truly friendly and professional. Lots of Ligurian dishes, all excellent.

27/02/2026: The hotel was clean, pleasant, and well-located on the way back, in a quiet area. The simple room had been recently renovated with a few minor finishing touches, but these didn't bother me at all considering the price, which included a very complete sweet and savory breakfast. The welcome was very friendly; we will definitely return.

16/12/2025: I can't complain, I had a good time, the room was clean and I ate more than well in the restaurant.

17/02/2026: The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Even though we showed up at 3 PM, they were willing to prepare the dishes we requested and that were on the menu. The place is divided into two shops, one serving as a deli and one serving as a restaurant, making it very convenient for a quick but tasty lunch. We were very satisfied. We will definitely be back!

20/01/2026: The seating area is very small, but you can also order takeaway if you prefer. The menu mainly focuses on seafood. Overall, the food is tasty.

14/12/2025: Terrible. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were told to wait 10-15 minutes. After at least 20 minutes, what appeared to be the manager came out and told us it would be a bit longer because he didn't have any tables, and offered to sit at two different tables, one for six and one for three. (I'm going out with friends and family so we can sit at different tables, after all.) Naturally, we said yes and that we'd wait. (I also pointed out that I had two little girls, a 5-year-old and an 8-month-old, and that he'd been told the first time we'd had to go to work.) Having said that, he came out for the umpteenth time and almost blamed us for the fact that we'd been accepted for the reservation we'd made the day before for nine people at 1:30 PM. Crazy. I repeat. I've never seen anything like this, and I'll start by saying that I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt truly mocked for the simple fact that he never apologized, not even once. A special mention goes to one or two of the girls who work for him, who are definitely wasted. Thank you so much.

27/02/2026: I ordered octopus for an appetizer (which arrived promptly), delicious! I had already ordered turbot with zucchini and potatoes, but after waiting over an hour, I asked if there was still a long wait. Finally, the turbot arrived with the potatoes undercooked. At the same time, I asked for some bread... which never arrived. So I think the problem is total disorganization. Maybe if I had ordered a simple, cheaper pizza, it would have been much better. Who knows...

09/03/2026: You might need to speak Italian to go here but the food is amazing, we had the set menu, loads of seafood- wine included (which was really nice). I’m gluten intolerant and they adapted the menu for me, when the others had pasta, I had an artichoke and squid salad (amazing). Would recommend!

26/02/2026: Appalling! Tasteless food, sickeningly sweet olive oil, and deplorable service. Avoid this place at all costs!

18/02/2026: What a shame, really. An excellent culinary offering, featuring all the signature dishes of Ligurian cuisine, was literally thrown away due to the disorganization in the dining room and the resulting biblical waits before being served. I've been to this restaurant several times in the same week because I was staying in Chiavari for personal reasons. Whether it was a busy weekend or a quiet weekday, the common denominator has always been the slow service: a plate of ravioli, a veal cutlet with chips, and a dessert served in an average of an hour and a half. It's a shame, because the price is also highly competitive. The waiter is also smart and fast, but the problem clearly lies between him and the kitchen. I can't explain it any other way. Anyway, I repeat, in case you haven't figured it out, the food is very good.

19/01/2026: Delicious dishes. We ordered fried and grilled fish, fries, and two desserts. The portions weren't exactly generous, but everything was delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the kitchen was extremely slow, and it wasn't possible to leave two people (the girl was brilliant!) to set up the tables, welcome and direct customers, clear the tables, take orders, serve, and, last but not least...cashier! I sincerely hope she gets paid her dues. All this on a day with a thousand-year-old fair just a few meters away, so it was expected to be packed! An hour and a half wait from when we sat down to when they started serving us was way too long. Of course, something you only see in Liguria, the bread didn't arrive until halfway through lunch—just in case you consume too much while waiting. I highly recommend it because the food is truly delicious, but perhaps it's better to go during the week or on days when you're sure you won't find more than three or four tables occupied.

17/02/2026: A wonderful restaurant experience within a hotel. The atmosphere is casual yet refined and welcoming. Ligurian and Piedmontese dishes are served, along with a good selection of wines. We tried a bit of everything, but the tagliolini with rabbit ragù and the appetizers were particularly noteworthy. The prices are fair, and the owner is very friendly.

07/10/2025: It's with great regret that we have to give this a negative review. Three friends and I returned after a year, and all three of us felt sick. We ate anchovies, tuna tartare (strange smell), seafood salad with 3-4 shrimp and squid, and uncooked, pickled tuna tuna, with lots of balsamic vinegar to mask the flavor, and mixed fried fish. Sleepless night, stomach upset... We paid €36 each, but be careful, as the quality and service have definitely deteriorated. Be careful with your health; you shouldn't mess around with fish.
