During our visit to Porto Venere, we had lunch at Ristorante Portivene, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our stay. The meticulous attention to quality ingredients is evident right from the appetizers. The octopus was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection, while the baked scallops deserve a special mention: delicate, balanced, and enhanced by a preparation that enhances their flavor without overpowering it. The seafood spaghetti was simply exceptional: impeccably cooked, the fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavor was intense, evoking the best of Ligurian seafood cuisine. Each dish exudes care, technique, and respect for the ingredients. The restaurant is particularly renowned for the quality of its seafood, excellent service, and attention to detail. Special praise goes to the staff. I also greatly appreciated their attentiveness to those requiring gluten-free options: several dishes can be adapted, and the attentive service is truly reassuring. The quality-price ratio is absolutely right for the level of experience offered. A restaurant that combines refined cuisine, hospitality, and passion. If I return to Porto Venere, it will be a must-visit.

We only wanted a light meal and ordered pasta and salad. The pasta was delicious and the salad was fresh and crisp with a variety of greens. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service friendly; overall, a lovely restaurant visit.

The prices were high for the dishes we received. The trenette pasta was good, but the quantity left something to be desired, not to mention the octopus, which was very good, but only had one tentacle... ridiculous for €18.
