You definitely don't feel like you're in the city center; the beautiful terrace and the spaced tables help create a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The food is excellent, and the ingredients make all the difference. I think the price is appropriate for the experience and the current average. The service was unobtrusive and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

They accepted us right as we walked in with no reservation at dinner time. The service was great—authentic and letting the food speak for itself. No fake niceness or overly bothering you—which is just custom in Italy and we love it. They let us have a beautiful patio table for 2 hours and that’s that. It felt really special to be there on our first night in Genova. There was a lovely gathering of good people near us just talking and having a good time. Seems like a spot that the locals patronize regularly.

For every special occasion, it remains my favorite restaurant in downtown Genoa, and I'm never wrong, whether it's the à la carte menu or the daily specials, or the wine cellar, including "unusual" champagnes, which I adore. As soon as the weather permits, I love the outdoor space, especially for lunch under the pergola. For me, it's an oasis of tranquility, peace, and a culinary experience in downtown Genoa.

13/07/2026: Great find in Fontanegli 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Lovely experience at Trattoria Paolin. We ate on the veranda and the atmosphere was truly pleasant. Tasty dishes, quality ingredients, and 4-star, attentive, and friendly service. Definitely worth a try!
