07/01/2026: An impromptu lunch for my birthday since I happened to be passing through the area. The place is very welcoming and in the old-fashioned Bolognese trattoria style, just the way I like it. A selection of high-quality wines and spirits are beautifully displayed at the entrance. As for lunch, I ordered a slow-cooked egg with cream cheese, served in a smoked bowl. The smoke really covered the flavor of the dish, which, unfortunately, also had truffle. Then came the gramigna and sausage, which were very good. The service was a bit of a weak point. Perhaps it was a particularly busy day, and I saw the girls and the owner struggling a bit. For the same reason, I had the feeling he was a bit gruff, but that didn't detract from my experience, which I consider to be more than positive. Prices are moderately high compared to other trattorias.

04/01/2026: If the Fellowship of the Ring had passed through Bologna, it would have stopped here. At Trattoria da Sandro al Navile, I ate like a hobbit after a long march: hearty, filling, and damn good. The tortelli al ragù are something crafted on the slopes of Mount Doom: rich, filling, uncompromising. The meat dish was as tender as Samwise's conscience, and accompanied by side dishes that weren't extras, but co-stars. It's not a cheap inn, but what you get on your plate more than justifies the trip. A special mention goes to the waitresses: friendly, kind, and attentive, more elven than orc, thankfully. In short: not cheap, but epic. You don't eat here: you complete a quest. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

27/12/2025: The place is very nice looking, but unfortunately the first courses weren't very good, the appetizer was so-so, and they rushed us to get up from the table. They have two lunch shifts, and with 15 minutes left, they started rushing us to pay and get up from the table.

15/01/2026: Without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants... a charming location overlooking all of Bologna, superb hospitality and staff, wonderful service for parties or events, highly refined dishes, and incredible attention to customer requests. I can't recommend it enough!!!

04/01/2026: La Traviata... obviously, everything about Verdi and opera in this osteria, an osteria with an operatic twist! A good Bolognese restaurant... I recommend a classic menu... cured meats and cheeses with crescentine and giardiniera. I had tortellini with ragù (yes... I know, it's a blasphemy for the Bolognese, but that's how I like them)... a bit bland, to be honest. My friends had an artichoke and parmesan salad, tortelli (green) with parmesan cream, and then... a delicious cotoletta alla Bolognese... dipped in a sauce of... (guess what). Then, of course, the Bologna chocolate cake, Tenerina, all... with a delicious red wine from Predappio, the Vigna del Generale, truly delicious. A place I recommend. I can't tell you the price because I didn't pay, but I think it would have been around 50/60 per person.

23/12/2025: A typical tavern! A family atmosphere. Sublime first courses! Also try the cutlet Bolognese! Wash it all down with a nice Lambrusco! All that was missing was the singing "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" (Let's drink from the happy glasses) and the evening would have truly been an opera!

16/01/2026: One of the few credible trattorias left in Bologna. Friendly and attentive staff. Typical, traditional dishes, well-prepared. Prices are reasonable. The acoustics could be improved, as they can be a bit tricky at peak times. Definitely recommended. Reservations are recommended.

27/12/2025: The food is great, nice intimate atmosphere. The staff lacks a bit of coordination, but besides that we had a very pleasant experience. I have to say that the pappardelle al ragú bianco and the torta tenerina were exceptional :)

When we booked, we were informed that the only available table was near the front door on the veranda, which we accepted without hesitation. Everything was delicious, and the staff were friendly. The only flaw was the cotoletta, which was very unusual for our taste.
