09/08/2026: The restaurant is welcoming and the food is good. Unfortunately, I have to give the atmosphere 2 stars, even though I would have given 0 not because of the restaurant itself but because of the people who frequent it. Today, at lunch, there were 6 of us, including a person celebrating his 85th birthday, and we were attacked by a young man who was probably tipsy (to say the least). He came to our table in a very aggressive manner, insulting us with his tone of voice, placing his hands on our table, and was soon joined by other threatening diners. I've been in that place many times before, and obviously the problem is the space. It's small, crowded, and noisy, so sometimes it's hard to speak, but even with large tables present or celebrations, we didn't bother. We never dared to intervene, perhaps because we're more sober and mature. If we were a nuisance, it was enough to simply address us politely or point it out to the waiter and ask us to lower our voices. On the other hand, we didn't really believe we were in church. I understand that alcohol and heat can get to your head, but given the behavior of the employees and owner, who hid in other areas when there was aggressive tone towards us, we will definitely not go again, and I strongly advise against the place for normal people who want to enjoy a fun, worry-free time, especially if they're in the company of elderly, slightly deaf people. I'm following up on the owner's response, which confirms that he and the entire staff walked away without hearing anything about how things went. The tone was definitely not the same at both tables, so much so that even the table of three next to us was shocked and reassured us that we weren't bothering anyone. Above all, no one at our table dared to make comments or treat them rudely or insult them. It's just not in our DNA, not even in this review, where it's clearly stated that the staff, upon seeing and hearing that someone had approached our table shouting insults, should have intervened, asking them to tone it down and telling them that if there were any problems, they should have told you, and that you would resolve them with the kindness and smile you normally bring to the table. It's no coincidence that you gave your food and service 5 stars. However, given your response, if we had wanted to return, we definitely won't. I hope for your business that the kind guests present today aren't the same as your regular customers. Good luck.

30/07/2026: We had exceptional tagliatelle, but the real highlights were the crescentine and tigelle: warm, fragrant, not at all greasy, and accompanied by excellent quality cured meats and cheeses. The service was kind and attentive. I'll be back... 10 out of 10.

29/07/2026: What a wonderful discovery! What a marvelous restaurant! Attentive service, truly responsive staff, and above all, incredibly flavorful dishes. We love good food, we appreciate quality ingredients prepared with care, and we can be quite demanding… Here, everything was perfect. From the antipasti to the dessert, it was pure bliss. A place we wholeheartedly recommend!

20/08/2026: To celebrate 23 years of marriage, my beloved chose this restaurant in the hills of Bologna. The last few kilometers of the journey become pleasantly rural. The restaurant is located inside a golf club. The hilly altitude and location are very pleasant. You can see the city of Bologna from above, and since we went for dinner, with darkness falling, the view is truly evocative and perfect for the celebrations. We start with a fritto misto, one of the restaurant's signature dishes, serving a minimum of two people. It has everything: meat, mortadella, parmesan, carrots, sage, cream... Everything is battered or breaded and fried. Excellent fried food, not greasy, crispy, and flavorful. For fried food lovers like me, it's truly a treat. We continue with a cotoletta (a reinterpretation of the Bolognese, as the Parmesan and prosciutto are contained within the breading) with a side of baked potatoes for me and a ratatouille millefeuille (a beautifully presented vegetable dish, it looked like a flower) for my partner. The cotoletta was a delicacy, incredibly tasty; the millefeuille satisfied my better half. The potatoes were good. The bread basket consisted of excellent breadsticks, whole wheat bread, and white bread. We finished with dessert: for me, an "altro Rocher" (a giant rocher-like cake with peanut crumble and a salted caramel and peanut foam filling), and for my beloved, a dark chocolate tart with salted pistachio ice cream... Really good. As a welcome, they offered us a small piece of crescenta with a taste of local extra virgin olive oil, which I believe they made themselves. Is this a budget-friendly place within everyone's reach? No. Is the food good? Yes. Is it a charming place with a lovely atmosphere? Without a doubt. Very professional service, the staff are all very knowledgeable and precise. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. Dining al fresco in a hillside garden, in the dark with Bologna lit up before your eyes, by lamplight, enjoying excellent food is certainly worth the slightly above-average price.

14/05/2026: The restaurant is well-maintained and the service is good. As an Emilian, however, I was extremely disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, it was surprisingly poor, especially considering the excellent options available throughout the region and even more so considering the incredibly high prices. I expected much, much better.

02/07/2026: Had high expectations, turned out to be a disappointment. Firstly, tagliatelle al ragu is nothing special, at most mediocre. Secondly, at this price point, no service just takeout (you have to pay for utensils and go to the nearby bar which allows you to sit down but you need to get a drink). Do not recommend.

When in Bologna, please do yourself a favour and walk the 30 mins out from the centre to experience this gem. I can’t really think of a better meal I’ve had in Italy over many years. Perfecto!

31/07/2026: A very beautiful shop that you need to make a reservation to be sure to find. It is very worth sitting inside because it reminds you of old Italy, very nice vibe, kind staff, the pasta we tried was very delicious. It is truly one of the shops that I highly recommend in Bologna!

24/07/2026: A very welcoming and well-organized place, with reservations made through the website. We enjoyed truly sublime traditional Bolognese dishes, and the service was fast and courteous. A truly worthwhile place! Right next to the famous fenestrella window overlooking the canal.

20/08/2026: We've been to this restaurant twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both times we were delighted. The place is spotless, the food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the waiters are incredibly friendly and attentive. Definitely a highly recommended spot.

10/05/2026: It may have reasonable prices and good quality, but the service was so-so. One of the waitresses felt like she was about to get slapped. And in a typical Bolognese trattoria, baked potatoes aren't an option. Only fried ones. Meh. Thanks a lot, but I'm fine with that.

07/07/2026: We came for lunch as a family of four adults and one child, hoping to discover authentic local cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The pasta with ragù was far from al dente; it was practically undercooked. The horse tartare was not good; the meat seemed oxidized and had an unpleasant taste, which really worried us. As for the lasagna, it was much overcooked, and the cheese had a rancid taste, giving the impression that it was no longer fresh. We expected a completely different level of quality. A huge disappointment; we do not recommend it.
