10/06/2026: A mixed review and, more importantly, a warning for families managing food allergies. We visited with our 10m old baby, who has an egg allergy. We specifically ordered plain pasta without egg - in bianco- for her, and were served a small portion of boiled penne. Unfortunately, she later experienced an allergic reaction. We were informed that, although the pasta itself did not contain egg, it had been cooked in the same water as other pasta varieties that do contain egg. Thankfully, the reaction was mild, but this is something the restaurant should take into consideration when catering to customers with allergies. What surprised us even more was that we were charged €10 for the small portion of plain boiled pasta (when an adult normal portion of pasta is no more than €15). The dishes we ordered for ourselves were good, and we would have considered returning. However, given the allergy issue and the charge for the baby’s pasta, our overall experience was somewhat disappointing.

08/06/2026: We made a reservation for 7pm specifically asking for an outside table, but when we arrived they made us sit downstairs inside, even though the outside area was almost empty. We had dogs with us in a dog carrier cart, so sitting outside would have been much easier and more comfortable. What made the experience worse was that an older man waiter downstairs started making negative comments about us in Italian after seeing the dogs, apparently assuming we wouldn’t understand. Very unprofessional and unpleasant behavior. The food was okay, but honestly nothing special and definitely not worth the attitude. Overall a disappointing experience and not recommended.

27/12/2025: The place is very nice looking, but unfortunately the first courses weren't very good, the appetizer was so-so, and they rushed us to get up from the table. They have two lunch shifts, and with 15 minutes left, they started rushing us to pay and get up from the table.

20/05/2026: Very good place to eat, I recommend making sure you have a reservation. The tigelle with the white pesto are amazing, I would eat that every day if I could! I recommend trying their pasta (primi), they are all very good. The only dish I don't recommend is the plate of boiled meats (which is literally just a plate of boiled meats) as their most vegetable-like side dish is fried zucchini

05/05/2026: This place might seem touristy, but it's actually a perfect example of a Bolognese trattoria. A different menu every day, an extensive wine list, and courtesy and hospitality are what you'll experience at Fantoni only after enjoying their delicious dishes. Fantoni has average prices for a downtown restaurant; don't expect to spend less than €20-30 per person. PS. This may not be information for everyone, but they also have Gaza Gola!

01/06/2026: We had lunch at this osteria and had a great time, with reasonable prices. We were two couples. We ordered: - Appetizers: Crescentine with cured meats and squacquerone cheese - First courses: Tagliatelle with ragù, Gramigna with sausage, and Tortelloni alla balanzoni - Second course: Cotoletta alla Bolognese, which we split between two because of the generous portion. We enjoyed all the dishes, and the bill was very reasonable (about €33 per person).

30/05/2026: Very traditional place that had been recommended by our host. Well deserved. We made a reservation a day upfront to get a table outside. The staff is super friendly and the food tasty. The wine menu is extraordinary. We (2 persons) had pasta each and the cutlet bologna style and a bottle of wine. We paid like 70 euro of which the wine made half of it.

12/06/2026: A very well-run Bolognese trattoria next to the Two Towers. Still very respectful of tradition. Very welcoming place with very kind and professional staff. A rare thing! Careful cuisine and a Bolognese menu, not extensive but well-chosen. Good wines and friendly service. Highly recommended, given the deterioration in the downtown area. Very polite and discreet staff, even at late hours. Well done.

Unfortunately, it was surprisingly poor, especially considering the excellent options available throughout the region and even more so considering the incredibly high prices. I expected much, much better.

11/05/2026: Very good food and service. The owners were very service-minded and sweet. The pasta portions were a little small( especially the lasagna), but the quality was very high. I highly recommend this place!

05/05/2026: This place was a real find. Our guide recommended it, and what a great choice! It's a very quiet place with a lovely atmosphere, where you can try the typical Bolognese sauce at a reasonable price. Pasta dishes are between 12 and 14 euros. Without a doubt, the best Bolognese we've ever had! And the pasta with ragu was spectacular. Highly recommended.

01/04/2026: A typical rustic place, one of the old traditional trattorias. Excellent quality food, extraordinary handmade tagliatelle, just like grandma used to make. It's hard to find a table, so just get there early. Friendly and professional staff. Typical Bolognese dishes made according to tradition. I highly recommend it to everyone, whether they're from Bologna or not... I dare you!

03/06/2026: Having gotten out of today's Bologna hearing just before lunch, I decided to take the car and try the eponymous Trattoria Bertozzi on Via Andrea Costa. Unfortunately, it's not mine, I'm not even a minority shareholder, and it's actually a portmanteau of the two owners' surnames. Reservations are required (it seats twenty!), the friendly Bolognese atmosphere inside, the service is courteous, and the restaurant offers an excellent cotoletta alla Bolognese with a glass of Barbera Rosso!

10/04/2026: The atmosphere seems pleasant due to its rustic and original appearance. But the food... for goodness sake! Meager dishes improvised with the pretense of refinement: sliced ​​steak with 6 pieces of tough, unseasoned meat... garnished with 2-3 leaves of tasteless boiled fennel and a half-raw wedge of red cabbage... Not to mention the meager dessert portions and the exorbitant prices!!! You leave the table feeling hungry: absolutely not recommended!!!!
