Specifically, the homemade fusilli with tomato sauce are a true masterpiece, with that perfect texture and a simple yet incredibly flavorful sauce, replete with the aromas of ripe tomatoes and time-honored recipes. The ravioli deserve a special mention: they're enormous, rich, and satisfying, filled with the freshest ricotta made with the milk of their own sheep, which lends an authentic and unmistakable flavor. One of those rarities not found everywhere. The service perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the restaurant: warm, attentive, and genuine. Special thanks to Lisa, always smiling and impeccably managing the dining room, capable of making every guest feel at home. And of course, kudos also to chefs Giuseppe and his mother, and Vittorio, who with their skill bring dishes that tell a story to the table. All this is accompanied by honest and competitive prices, which make the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant that exudes authenticity, tradition, and passion. Highly recommended.

21/11/2025: We work in the hospitality industry. At the end of the season, we usually leave Tuscany by car and change cities, hotels, and dining venues every day for about ten days. This evening, we ended up at La Frestola restaurant. We were truly impressed by the deliciousness of the dinner, the kindness and friendliness of the owner, and the restaurant. The restaurant has retained a pleasantly vintage feel from the 1980s, like the old places we used to go for Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. We had an appetizer with delicious cured meats and cheeses, a particularly tasty bruschetta, and two first courses that we shared: ricotta ravioli and pan-fried gnocchi, similar to gnocchi alla Sorrentina. The ravioli are handmade by the owner's mother. Being a cook, I researched the type of flour used, which I will definitely try in my work. So, in conclusion, I 100% recommend this restaurant; in fact, it would be a shame not to stop by if we're in the area. I'm very satisfied, and I send my warmest regards to the owner.

19/04/2026: Dinner last night from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. I have to say, the food was delicious. I waited a bit at the beginning for the platter, but that's no problem (preparation always takes a while). The bill was a bit pricey, in my opinion. But overall, it's a rustic and charming place.

23/11/2025: Pizza can be subjective depending on the type of dough and the various ingredients used, and we have nothing to say about that. But when it's a calorie-rich pizza, that's enough. 17/11/2025: My wife and I stopped by on the highway heading back to Calabria. Despite it being 10 PM, they answered our call. We sat down at the pizzeria (just steps from the highway exit) and tried two croquettes (a classic one and a pistachio and mortadella one). The pizza was truly delicious: both the dough (modern) and the quality of the ingredients. We ordered a Margherita and a "Trip to Tropea" (really, really good). The place is run by a friendly and easy-going couple. Definitely worth trying again.

05/05/2026: I've been to this pastry shop, and I have to say the desserts are quite good: I tried the realistic fruit, and it was truly well-made and enjoyable. Unfortunately, however, the experience was ruined by the behavior of one of the staff members, who was truly rude, visibly bored with his job, and unhelpful. He responded with a coldness that, in my opinion, even came across as rude. Honestly, for this reason alone, I don't think I'll be back.

27/04/2026: I don't know the bakery, but I received a free "BRONTE" Colomba cake for Easter, and honestly, I was completely disappointed. The dough was dry, while both the cream layer inside and the pistachio glaze on top had a strange taste. Result: inedible. I hope it was an isolated incident...

31/03/2026: Rustic place as they once were, very welcoming warm family atmosphere, you can enjoy a beautiful hill air, outside outdoor space to eat and let the puppies play, the staff is polite and kind, attentive to every little request, the pizza is very good, light and well leavened, topped with fresh and quality products, we also tried the fried foods, also very very good, tasty and not greasy, the price is normal.
