26/07/2026: We had to wait a bit... But the sandwiches were excellent ☺

24/06/2026: We went here for dinner and I'm a little disappointed, especially by the attitude of the staff, who were arrogant and superficial. Everything always had to be asked for two or three times (I should point out that we were the only table inside and there were a few tables outside). We were told on the phone that everything was gluten-free, including fried foods, but besides the sandwiches, we were only allowed fries. Aside from the attitude of one of the waiters in particular, I wasn't pleasantly impressed. I have to say that our food was truly excellent, both the fried foods and the sandwiches were very good. The prices were definitely above average: €80 for four sandwiches, two fried foods, and three beers is really a lot. That said, I hope they reconsider things a bit, because the place is very nice, and at least it's a good alternative to the usual pub. I understand that everything has really gone up, but in my opinion the prices are disproportionate. We're still in Pontecagnano, not in the historic center of Salerno.

12/04/2026: Highly recommended, the food was excellent, with incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked fish. The appetizers were generous and flavorful, with a wide variety of tastings, all perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

06/08/2026: Good pizza, but the place is full of wasps outside, and inside the air conditioning is completely off!!! (You'll die of heat inside in the summer) And to top it off, an interminable wait to pay for 20 minutes! The oven in front of you is at 50 degrees... In the past we had recommended it to friends and relatives who had already been there... But in the future I will tell them to stay away and go elsewhere!

27/07/2026: I ate with a group of 32 friends returning from a foreign country, Bulgaria. After a week of eating local Bulgarian food, I'm increasingly convinced that Italian food is the best. After the introduction, I had fusilli with tomato sauce 🍅, delicious, then pork 🐷 with peppers and potatoes, stew, mixed salad, coffee ☕️ and amaro. The food was plentiful and delicious. Friendly and professional staff. Competitive prices. If you pass through Campagna, go and eat at "Al Rusticone"; you'll be satisfied.

29/06/2026: Terrible experience: unacceptable rudeness I'm giving it one star only because it's not possible to give zero. We visited this bar and the experience was, to say the least, unpleasant due to the behavior of the staff, especially the baristas, who were truly rude and lacked any kindness. We ordered a sandwich, a savory croissant, a stuffed focaccia, and two small bottles of water. At the register, a mistake was made when the order was for two coffees instead of water. When we presented the receipt at the counter, the barista, realizing the mistake (made by them, I want to point out), reacted in a completely disproportionate and rude manner: she crumpled up the receipt in a visibly irritated manner, literally threw it on the floor, and refused to give us the water. We had to return to the register to correct the receipt. We thought we'd have to add the difference, but instead we discovered that the coffee was cheaper than the water, so much so that they even had to refund us some change. To err is human, but treating customers like dirt because of an internal staff error is intolerable. A little politeness and customer service wouldn't hurt. They'll definitely never see us again.

19/06/2026: Truly a top-notch takeout pizzeria! We ordered the fried calzones and they were an incredible surprise: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and with a super tasty and well-balanced filling. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in their preparation. Fast service and very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

20/08/2026: A charming place with a beautiful view. It's very pleasant to spend the evening at the outdoor tables. The pizzas are very good (especially the one with zucchini cream), and the waiters are young and very friendly.

18/08/2026: Truly EXCELLENT pizza, beautiful view, and friendly, helpful staff. The spacious and clean terrace allows for al fresco dining even on the hottest evenings. We'll definitely be back. Short wait times.

14/06/2026: If you want to eat well and above all be pampered at the table this is the right place, I will be biased because I have been frequenting it for over 20 years and with the owners and staff there is a family relationship, but it is always a pleasant place with wonderful dishes... impossible to do at least 💪🏼

07/04/2026: Stayed a night last week. Very different feel ie ambience, interiors. Room was top draw - adequate space, super clean (linen and bath). Staff were amazing - the young lady that checked us in, the gentleman that helped with parking. It's a 3 minute walk to the promenade. Quite a few restaurants and bars there. The bus stop (serving towns around Amalfi) is just outside the hotel, bus tickets can be bought from the shop opposite the bus stop. Bar was alright at the hotel, not a big one, again, very different charm. Considering we booked this 30 minutes before checking in, the stay was a very pleasant experience. Parking (garage) is available in the hotel at an additional charge looks like 3-4 cars can be parked, we used the hotel parking space. There's also a parking area outside the hotel.

04/04/2026: Very nice, clean hotel, well located near the beach, restaurants, bus, and ferry. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet could have been a bit more varied.

16/08/2026: The quality of the food is excellent. The service is a little less so. The waitresses are very friendly, but with only two in a full room, they struggle to ensure a balanced service for all customers. The air conditioning could also be improved. But all in all, I will definitely return.

13/08/2026: We only stayed for a few days, but we can definitely praise the area itself (the pitches, showers, and general amenities) and especially the kindness and courtesy of the staff, especially Moro (fantastic)! If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

Specifically, the homemade fusilli with tomato sauce are a true masterpiece, with that perfect texture and a simple yet incredibly flavorful sauce, replete with the aromas of ripe tomatoes and time-honored recipes. The ravioli deserve a special mention: they're enormous, rich, and satisfying, filled with the freshest ricotta made with the milk of their own sheep, which lends an authentic and unmistakable flavor. One of those rarities not found everywhere. The service perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the restaurant: warm, attentive, and genuine. Special thanks to Lisa, always smiling and impeccably managing the dining room, capable of making every guest feel at home. And of course, kudos also to chefs Giuseppe and his mother, and Vittorio, who with their skill bring dishes that tell a story to the table. All this is accompanied by honest and competitive prices, which make the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant that exudes authenticity, tradition, and passion. Highly recommended.

21/11/2025: We work in the hospitality industry. At the end of the season, we usually leave Tuscany by car and change cities, hotels, and dining venues every day for about ten days. This evening, we ended up at La Frestola restaurant. We were truly impressed by the deliciousness of the dinner, the kindness and friendliness of the owner, and the restaurant. The restaurant has retained a pleasantly vintage feel from the 1980s, like the old places we used to go for Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. We had an appetizer with delicious cured meats and cheeses, a particularly tasty bruschetta, and two first courses that we shared: ricotta ravioli and pan-fried gnocchi, similar to gnocchi alla Sorrentina. The ravioli are handmade by the owner's mother. Being a cook, I researched the type of flour used, which I will definitely try in my work. So, in conclusion, I 100% recommend this restaurant; in fact, it would be a shame not to stop by if we're in the area. I'm very satisfied, and I send my warmest regards to the owner.
