Specifically, the homemade fusilli with tomato sauce are a true masterpiece, with that perfect texture and a simple yet incredibly flavorful sauce, replete with the aromas of ripe tomatoes and time-honored recipes. The ravioli deserve a special mention: they're enormous, rich, and satisfying, filled with the freshest ricotta made with the milk of their own sheep, which lends an authentic and unmistakable flavor. One of those rarities not found everywhere. The service perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the restaurant: warm, attentive, and genuine. Special thanks to Lisa, always smiling and impeccably managing the dining room, capable of making every guest feel at home. And of course, kudos also to chefs Giuseppe and his mother, and Vittorio, who with their skill bring dishes that tell a story to the table. All this is accompanied by honest and competitive prices, which make the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant that exudes authenticity, tradition, and passion. Highly recommended.

21/11/2025: We work in the hospitality industry. At the end of the season, we usually leave Tuscany by car and change cities, hotels, and dining venues every day for about ten days. This evening, we ended up at La Frestola restaurant. We were truly impressed by the deliciousness of the dinner, the kindness and friendliness of the owner, and the restaurant. The restaurant has retained a pleasantly vintage feel from the 1980s, like the old places we used to go for Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. We had an appetizer with delicious cured meats and cheeses, a particularly tasty bruschetta, and two first courses that we shared: ricotta ravioli and pan-fried gnocchi, similar to gnocchi alla Sorrentina. The ravioli are handmade by the owner's mother. Being a cook, I researched the type of flour used, which I will definitely try in my work. So, in conclusion, I 100% recommend this restaurant; in fact, it would be a shame not to stop by if we're in the area. I'm very satisfied, and I send my warmest regards to the owner.

24/07/2025: A pizzeria run by locals. Popular prices (also for beer) and a wide range of pizzas. We came because we stayed far from the centre, and this pizzeria was next door. But it was the best place we had lunch/dinner here. If we come back to Salerno, we will go back. PS: order the Amalfitana pizza!

A beautiful and welcoming place, with talented and highly professional staff, and a perfect concept: light and tasty pizza, excellent fried foods, and fast, friendly service. It's a winning choice in Salerno, thanks to the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a try and a return visit.

19/12/2025: We initially ordered a takeout pizza and then decided to sit down. At the table, we only had two beers and a dessert. When it came to the bill, we were charged a cover charge for five people, for a total of €12.50, even though we hadn't eaten pizza at the table and there were only two of us ordering drinks. I find it unfair to charge a cover charge this way, especially without advance notice. For the sake of completeness, I should point out that the Nutella pizza was good, while the Margherita was excessively salty. Overall, a disappointing experience with the bill.

Everything was perfect: fresh fish; excellent service, fast and friendly; delicious dishes (with seconds, because it's impossible to resist!); perfect seasoning, balanced flavors; clean, well-organized, quiet place. I can say, it exceeded expectations. Even the cake, homemade (thanks to Mr. Luciano). Excellent, light, without using liters of liquor to mask anything else...the kind you'd eat every day, with the suggestion of the wafer for writing something or something (thank you so much 😍). Stomachs full, satisfied, without feeling heavy! This is what happens when you work well, with passion and professionalism, sourcing the best raw materials. Excellent price, considering the quality. If you want to eat (truly) fresh fish, you absolutely must go to "'a paranza da Gaetano"!!

I went there to get some take-out rotisserie, but when I asked if it was possible to have arancini to go (a dish on the menu but not indicated, which is not made every day), the lady, who was sitting behind the counter, without even getting up from her chair, continuing to look at her phone, therefore without even deigning to look at us, or offering us a solution, replied that they were not available today.

16/11/2025: Spectacular.......we are campers from Venice....we stopped at the Salerno rest area on the seafront and while walking we saw this wood-fired rotisserie....amazing.....delicious.....I recommend it to everyone passing through and not.....€12 Chicken with potatoes sublime.....compliments to all the staff......thanks

06/12/2025: Magnificent experience... we were given a truly unique welcome. We had a divine dinner, with exceptional ingredients, including a delicious vegetable appetizer and focaccia with lard. The first courses were pure poetry. We chose three different ones, and they were all delicious and plentiful. The service was attentive, kind, and fast. But that's not all: pancakes, Sicilian granitas, crepes, churros, and the fantastic Ischian cornetto, not to mention the semifreddos, cups, and the legendary babà. Gaetano and his staff always have a smile on their faces and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Top!

02/09/2025: I had dinner with my family and I must say they completely satisfied my desire to eat at a real farmhouse. The appetizers, including cured meats and cheeses, and the excellent sliced ​​steak were excellent. Fantastic location with a wonderful view of the countryside below. We were supposed to return the next day to spend a day by the beautiful pool... but alas, the weather wasn't kind to us. Maybe next year.
