23/11/2024: If you are on the motorway near Padula, you absolutely must stop to eat at Picchio Nero. Nice, welcoming atmosphere in a modern style. The staff in the room were very kind and friendly, as well as professional. The food was all spectacular from the starters to the first courses and the meat-based second courses. But for me the 🔝 of the 🔝 were the pizzas. All leavened perfectly, with the right amount of salt, light, cooked perfectly with the great skill of the pizza chef and rolled out thinly with a high, crunchy edge. I ate the bufalina and went back 30 years, when I went to eat pizza at Negri's in Pontecagnano with my grandparents and parents. Truly spectacular. Thank you for the lovely evening spent and for your kindness and professionalism. I'll be back to see you soon.

13/10/2024: I give full marks for the pizza, which is more like a cloud than a pizza: very soft dough, leavened to perfection, perhaps the best marinara I've ever eaten. Other things to review, for example the Mediterranean fried food.

15/03/2025: Siamo stati in questa trattoria, carne eccellente e ben cotta, patatine ben fatte, croccanti e gustose, focaccia fatta con farina di qualità e saporita, buono anche il vino della casa! Prezzo in linea con la qualità offerta, leggermente alto il coperto, ma in considerazione del materiale usato ci può stare tranquillamente! Il servizio è stato veloce ed il cameriere ha esaurito ogni richiesta con professionalità e qualità! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

05/04/2025: There is no proportion between price and quality. Ordinary cuisine with non-negligible oversights (overcooked pasta, spicy chilli pepper on sea bream fillet, dishes that arrived cold). The comments regarding the dishes were poorly tolerated by the managers.

30/03/2025: Cozy place and good food. From some tables you can enjoy the "sea view". If you are by car, park in the nearby Piazza Matteotti so you can also admire part of the historic centre, full of bars and shops, along the short route to get to the restaurant.

11/04/2025: We went here on recommendation from our BnB owner. Given the rave reviews, our expectations were not fully met. Pros: - It’s evident the fish is really high quality and super fresh - the grilled octopus and peppered mussels were really good. - The price is very reasonable for the quality of seafood. Cons: - only online/QR code menu available, the English version of which was not updated. The online menu’s interface felt hard to read and is written unclearly. It also incorporates emojis in place of some words (i.e. “salad”) which seems mismatched given the restaurant’s vibe. - compared to our other dining experiences in Salerno, the service here wasn’t as warm or accommodating as we had encountered previously. It wasn’t bad, but it felt like something was missing. We felt a little rushed ordering and our server didn’t know how to answer our questions about the wine list or certain menu items. -while we enjoyed our dinner, we didn’t think all of the dishes lived up to our expectations based on the reviews. Overall, it was a good meal for price/quality but we enjoyed other dining experiences in Salerno more.

04/04/2025: In un giovedì sera qualunque trovare questo ristorante di qualità e’ stata davvero una fortuna. Location semplice con cura dei piccoli dettagli. Personale molto professionale e attento a ogni esigenza. I complimenti vanno anche allo chef per i prodotti di prima qualità. Il conto è un po’ alto ma proporzionato.Tutti i riconoscimenti sono meritati pertanto sicuramente, si ritornerà per conoscere altre novità

27/03/2025: Ritornata per la seconda volta in occasione di una cena degustazione, Crüb a Cava dei Tirreni è decisamente un ristorante con un ambiente elegante e accogliente... servizio impeccabile. Cibo eccellente, materia prima di qualità, presentazione dei piatti armonica. Un esperienza sensoriale unica. Da tornarci presto 😍

25/10/2024: There are no complaints about the service or surroundings, but the food... it's something. We took marinated anchovies, mussels in pepper sauce and linguine with shrimp. The anchovies were eaten because of the marinade and pepper, but that’s okay, everyone has their own taste preferences. The mussels were clearly not fresh (either frozen or reheated), but the linguine was! They were overcooked (in Italy), with a strange creamy lemon sauce and with 4 tiny shrimp, which are sold in boxes in supermarkets in brine. In all my travels around Italy, I have never been so overwhelmed with food.

17/03/2025: Our favorite place in Salerno. The cuisine is truly exquisite with excellent quality seafood dishes served and prepared with originality and taste. The environment is very welcoming, refined in detail, I have always really liked the background music by Italian singer-songwriters, which accompanies the meals without invading the conversation. The owner was kind and conversational and confessed to us that he uses zero kilometer products for his dishes.
