Let me start by saying that I'm on a ketogenic diet. I can eat protein without any carbohydrates or sugar, but every now and then I can indulge in a sugar-free ice cream. The term "sugar-free" doesn't necessarily mean sugar-free, but rather contains a low-glycemic index sugar, such as maltitol, erythritol, stevia, etc. This can be useful for both ketogenic diets and especially for diabetics (in fact, "sugar-free" ice cream was created specifically for them). I went into this ice cream shop and I was craving some ice cream. I asked if they had sugar-free ice cream (obviously, I knew that "sugar-free" could mean low-glycemic index sugar), I trusted them, and I ate it... Then, out of curiosity, I asked the waiter what sugar was in it. First, the clerk, with a certain amount of confidence, told me it was absolutely sugar-free and that he could guarantee it, and I replied that it was impossible, given the very sweet taste. Then, when I insisted, they asked the chef and told me it contained fructose... Fructose is absolutely not a low-glycemic sugar, but a sugar in all respects, only it comes from fruit, so... For those on a ketogenic diet, especially diabetics, be careful to ask carefully what type of sugar is in it. I messed up my diet by taking myself out of ketosis, but for a diabetic, that's absolutely serious!

My review is only about the gelato rather than the bar as a whole. However, the fact that we came back three times in a single day probably says everything. The gelato is delicious, high-quality, and wonderfully balanced in flavor. Even those of us who are usually not big ice cream lovers really enjoyed it. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and very polite. Definitely a place we’ll happily return to.

For years, this has been the only place worthy of a 5-star rating in Marina di Vietri. Friendly service and courtesy, not to mention the excellent ice cream. If you need a little pampering, you've come to the right place.

This evening I rediscovered the true flavor of pistachios. While I was trying to decide which flavor to get, because they're all delicious, with an excellent flavor, I asked myself, "Where's the pistachio?" I can't see it, I told myself there's nothing green about it, then I read pistachio, but the color was like hazelnut gelato. At that point, my eyes began to sparkle because they saw the real pistachio, the natural one without any artificial colorings. And I won't even tell you about the flavor, it took me back in time. When the Sicilian father of a very dear friend of mine would bring me freshly picked pistachios from his tree. It was an unforgettable experience. I recommend getting the pistachio gelato from Eco del Mare in Vietri, it's unique.

Great place with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Huge selection of ice cream, drinks, and delicious coffee. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere was really nice. Highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again!

The ice cream is good, but not excellent. Some flavors are completely unidentifiable. The prices are definitely too high for the quality. You have to run away from the tables because they smoke all over you. It's a nightmare.

Delicious selection of gelato. If you want a ‘coppa’ or a brioche with ice cream, this is the place to be.
