15/08/2025: We were fortunate enough to sit at one of the tables at the traditional Dea Mangiona restaurant in the center of Cetara. A little gem run by a cheerful, smiling, hospitable, and kind owner couple. It's an experience that feels like home; the owners have an admirable way of making everyone feel at ease. At the owner's suggestion, we ordered the "mille facce di alice," an appetizer that captures the aromas and flavors of beautiful Cetara, represented even more symbolically by the spaghetti with anchovy sauce. We were amazed by the owner's welcome and the explanations of the dishes, and equally amazed by her husband's preparations. We won't forget this place and will definitely return! Highly recommended. (We look forward to seeing you in Florence)

12/07/2025: We had dinner two weeks ago, something incredible away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, a magical setting with music in the background and only the view, super welcoming staff, I ate a series of spectacular appetizers, fair prices.

21/07/2025: A perfect evening in a truly special place. The welcome was warm, thanks to the owners' friendliness and passion, evident in every detail. The tables, handcrafted by the owner with splendid majolica tiles, grace a charming little street, illuminated by a unique light that makes the atmosphere even more magical. The service was impeccable: extremely fast but never intrusive. You could sense a genuine care for the customer experience. The zero-mile concept was carried forward with consistency and conviction, so much so that they even excluded Coca-Cola in favor of Molecola, an all-Italian alternative. We enjoyed extraordinary dishes, rich in authentic, time-honored flavors. There were five of us, and each chose a different dish: all delicious, all appreciated down to the last bite. The bill isn't cheap, but it's absolutely in line with the quality of the experience offered. In a word: highly recommended.

20/07/2025: Very friendly staff and quality ingredients, but the cuisine didn't meet expectations. I had high expectations after reading the numerous enthusiastic reviews, but unfortunately the experience didn't live up to expectations. Some dishes disappointed us: overcooked pasta, good and well-cooked anchovies, but few of them, and with an overpowering mint flavor, a parmigiana with an unusual oregano flavor (perhaps a local variation?), anchovy-flavored pasta fritters presented as an appetizer but paid for as a proper dish, and a reinvented ciambotta that seemed anything but. Furthermore, there was no wine list, something expected in a restaurant with such ambitions. The cooking classes offered are probably designed for foreign tourists or those just starting out in the kitchen. I'm sorry to write these comments, especially since the staff was truly kind and committed, but I think it's important that reviews realistically reflect the experience, avoiding raising expectations that aren't met. There are lesser-known places in the area where the food is much better. I can't explain all the rave reviews, but everyone can draw their own conclusions. I give it 4 stars precisely because of the effort and courtesy.

17/07/2025: Era tempo che tentavamo di poter assaggiare la decantata cucina della Locanda Cocole e finalmente ci siamo riusciti. Le nostre aspettative sono state completamente deluse. Antipasto insignificante e poco rispettoso della tradizione. La qualità della pasta scadente e molto simile a quella in vendita nei discount. Anche le carni senza lode e senza infamia e non parliamo dei dolci di pessima preparazione. Purtroppo non è stata un'esperienza positiva. Sconsigliata a coloro che desiderano assaggiare la vera cucina cilentana.

17/08/2025: Angelo and his family are the soul of the place, and in every dish you can taste the history, hard work, and love behind every little element of their extensive menu. The price is fair for the quality of the products, but a bit expensive for the area. Parking is impossible, but even getting there requires a good knowledge of the area. The entrance is definitely not accessible to the disabled.

16/08/2025: Must try! Authentic and delicious cuisine. The tasting menu is truly tasty and comprehensive, and there are trays available for guests to make their own doggy bags. I was really impressed that they catered to allergies/intolerances, providing a valid alternative for each of the many courses!

10/08/2025: We discovered this corner of Brazil while looking for something to eat for lunch before returning to the beach. We'd been wanting to try Brazilian cuisine for a while, and we were thrilled. The service was attentive, the food delicious, and the restaurant was well-maintained. We returned to the beach happy and with full bellies.

The cuisine fully deserves its Michelin star: contemporary Mediterranean dishes showcase the region's finest ingredients with balance and creativity. The tasting menus offer a complete and surprising experience, while Benedetta's desserts are the perfect finale, refined and memorable. A restaurant that combines taste, hospitality, and innovation: a must-try.

10/08/2025: Wonderful experience! When I booked, I made a small request, and to my surprise, it was granted. I didn't use the bathroom, but my girlfriend said they were gorgeous, clean, and absolutely beautiful. The welcome was top-notch; we were seated and given not only two chairs, but also a third place to put our bags. The food was excellent, with delicious combinations. The prices were absolutely reasonable for the category. I highly recommend everyone to go there.

14/08/2025: A culinary experience beyond my expectations. A harmony of flavors that delight the palate. I was speechless. The fish was of the highest quality, as were all the ingredients. The atmosphere was relaxed, but without the artificial sophistication of some Michelin-starred and non-starred restaurants.

I've been coming here with my partner for a year, and we're increasingly satisfied with this restaurant, despite the difficulty in booking because it's always full. I couldn't choose which of the dishes we've tasted would be the best if I had to name a classic. Each one is an explosion of unique aromas and flavors—perhaps the raw ham, because I love it a little more—the quality is excellent. The chef pays attention to every detail, from preparation to presentation, from homemade bread to desserts. The wait staff is very kind and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended. See you tomorrow evening; after two weeks, we finally managed to book in advance. My mouth is already watering. I'll edit, otherwise I'll have to delete the previous one: Last night was a perfect evening, too. Congratulations again to the staff for their kindness and friendliness, impeccable service, and attention to every detail. Compliments to the chef: the raw ham and flavor combinations are always exceptional. I'm attaching more photos. You've become my favorite restaurant.

29/07/2025: Me and my family only went to the restaurant one of the nights we were staying in Positano, but I have to assume that the rooms are as incredible as our experience was. To start off, we got PICKED UP in a car at 7:30 and the driver arrived at 7:32 and apologized for being “late”. He was extremely friendly and warm. When we got to the actual restaurant, we were given lion stuffed animals as the menu, which my daughter enjoyed very much, and I thought was a very clever and cute touch, given the title of the restaurant in English is the lion’s tavern. Our initial server was very nice and gave us very good attention and seemed to be only focusing on us and making sure we were comfortable. He helped us with wine pairing for our tasting menu, and let my daughter make her own custom tasting menu, too! I thought this was a very flexible and welcoming action of him that made me enjoy the experience even more. The tasting menu was PHENOMENAL and so was my daughter’s penne pasta. We especially like the lobster ravioli and cheesecake for dessert. Just an overall wonderful and warm experience, and every bite of food was beyond words. Great job, staff!!!

29/07/2025: La Taverna de Leone in Positano is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its intimate, detailed atmosphere that felt both cozy and elegant. The food was exceptional, with highlights including the lobster ravioli and an unforgettable cheesecake. The service was outstanding. Our server went above and beyond, even recommending that my stepdaughter have half-portions of dishes to create a custom tasting menu, which we hadn’t even asked for. This thoughtful gesture allowed her to enjoy the experience alongside the adults in a way we hadn’t expected, and it really made the meal special. The wine pairing was another highlight. Instead of removing some of the wines we had chosen, our server gave me half glasses of each, so I could still enjoy every wine without feeling rushed. It was a small touch that made the tasting menu feel even more personalized and enjoyable. We were also pleasantly surprised with a free ride from our hotel to the restaurant, saving us the trouble of booking an Uber. Watching the organized kitchen in action was a treat, and overall, it was a flawless experience. If we could, we’d go back every night. Highly recommended!

03/08/2025: We live in the area, and having heard they were open for lunch, we booked... Absolutely recommended everything: from the appetizer with cheeses and dairy products made by the dairy, along with local cured meats and vegetables, to the truly delicious gnocchi alla soorentina. Needless to say, we absolutely must try it and return.
