29/09/2025: James and the entire staff was amazing. We had a perfect evening with our family and friends. The pictures don't do enough justice to just how wonderful everything was for us.

16/09/2025: We arrived around 9 pm and approached the manager, who appeared to be the one in charge, asking if there was a table for two. Initially refused, he invited us to take a table under the portico. We sat down, but it seemed as if we were invisible. No one even brought us water, nor a menu. About 15 minutes passed and still no one was in sight, so I went inside and complained to the manager about his behavior. After my complaints, he rudely asked me to leave and leave the table, a request I didn't hesitate to make. I can't judge the food, but rudeness and unprofessionalism abound in this establishment.

06/07/2025: The worst restaurant I’ve been in my last 5 years . Tra i peggiori ristoranti che abbiamo cenato negli ultimi 5 anni . Abbiamo ordinato una bistecca fiorentina e hanno avuto il coraggio di portarci un osso alto 8 centimetri di una bistecca già consumata da altri e di fianco vari pezzi di carne di vario tipo . E’ stata una cosa terribile . Non l’abbiamo mangiata affatto e alle nostre lamentele ci hanno detto che non capivamo niente di cagne . Il pane era umido e molliccio , per avere olio e sale abbiamo dovuto ricordarglielo 5 volte . Servizio pessimo . Evitate di andare se non volete essere presi per i fondelli . Il conto ?? 110 € per una bistecca non mangiata per poi essere anche accusati di non capire niente di bistecche fiorentine , io che ho vissuto 13 anni a Firenze. Se non volete essere truffati da questi lestofanti , evitate di fermarvi lì . A 100 metri c’è un altro ristorante che merita in termini di qualità , servizio e cortesia . IL RIFUGIO e’ stato un incubo . Vomitevole

22/08/2025: I ordered an aperitif for two and forgot to mention that I can't tolerate onions. When the aperitifs arrived, I asked if they could be substituted with ones without onions, and they were immediately available. Excellent quality and products. Extensive menu with a wide selection. Excellent courtesy and service. Perfectly clean. Definitely excellent prices. Perfect atmosphere.

23/11/2025: I was there this summer. The first time, we had such a great time that we decided to return several times during our stay. Impeccable dishes, attentive service, and the pizza is the best I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.

13/10/2025: What an amazing experience we had at this amazing restaurant. It’s a small family restaurant but the food is outstanding. I’d say the best food in the area. The owner, Benito , greeted us with a house spritz and a huge smile…which is rare in most Amalfi coast restaurants 😜. Later on , he gave us some local appetizer filled with cheese and it was wow. We ordered 4 cheeses pizza and sea food pasta that was recommended by his wonderful waiter …and he spoke English…which is a rare thing on the coast as well . Both dishes were so good . I couldn’t stop eating. I couldn’t even imagine that simple dishes can have so many flavors at once. At the end of the, Benito treated us to a house lemonchello and I fell in love with it. It was out of this world. Also we ordered some dessert that was recommended by our waiter as well. Obviously I didn’t ask its name . It was a white shaped dome with pear 🍐 filling inside. It was just wow. Total satisfaction in one meal. I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic Italian homemade meal and an amazing service…which is also very rare up there lol. Enjoy ! Definitely 10 ✨.

09/11/2025: Ok so… I don’t know how they can afford the location with the lack of quality or charisma. The real estate is 10/10. Gorgeous. The food? Terrible. The service? It’s like they were even surprised we sat down. The prosciutto was dry and gross. The cheese was the driest mozzarella I’ve ever seen. The staff was unbothered. My Aperol spritz was ok though.

21/11/2025: The staff is incredibly friendly. You'll feel right at home in this discreet, family-friendly atmosphere. Great for a business coffee during the day.

17/08/2025: Last night we had dinner with family. We ordered some house appetizers, and when they arrived, we noticed that the "melanzane nel boccaccio" (the appetizer's name) were inedible because the sauce was burnt. We reported the problem, but they took them back, almost completely ignoring us. We were very disappointed with the service. We had to wait about an hour for two pizzas, and when we finally went to pay, we found the bill was much higher than what we'd eaten warranted. Furthermore, the receipt didn't include any details about the cost of the individual dishes. We asked if the owner was available to explain the situation, but were told he was always busy. We are very sorry for what happened.

05/09/2025: The other night, I went to this place for a drink and to celebrate my birthday with some friends and my parents (there were about 10 of us). Unfortunately, the welcome wasn't the best. Even though there were several free tables (it was 8:30 PM), the owner told me they were all booked, and I, along with the other diners, were invited to sit at the high tables with stools, or else we'd have to leave since there were no other options. I tried in vain to explain to the very friendly owner that my father has a serious health problem and that we'd settle for just a low table for two, at least for him and his partner, so that we could guarantee him, given his condition, a seat with a backrest, but there was no availability; once again, "all the tables were reserved." After a long wait, the owner finally came to our second-rate table, with an attitude that was honestly, in my opinion, unnecessarily hostile. We ordered a bottle of wine (there were only four of us, waiting for everyone else) and an appetizer. As my friends arrived, even the mere request for a stool or simply more glasses and plates was annoying and was repeatedly ignored, so much so that in the end I took the stool myself. We ordered, in addition to more bottles of wine, some appetizers for the main course. We received plates and silverware only after asking for them. Furthermore, when I asked for yet another glass for the last person to arrive, the waiter said, "I'll check if they're available" (the place was half empty). Needless to say, the tables next to ours (all, he claimed, hopelessly booked) remained empty the entire evening, and I repeat, not a single person was seated, not even by mistake, from 8:30 PM until 12:30 AM. I understand that there may be rules, I understand everything, but in this case, a little more flexibility and attention would have made a difference. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, the tables on the other side were all half-empty, too; the excellent owner didn't even bother to come to the cashier to ask how the evening had gone. A terrible impression, with no professionalism or manners, and my birthday was ruined.

26/08/2025: Parking is a drawback; you have to park in the basement parking lot in the center, as there are few spaces nearby and they're always occupied. The prices are fair. Excellent aperitif.

07/10/2025: Croissants aren't available first thing in the morning, and they don't even bother making them. You have to take whatever they have, it's mind-blowing... prices are out of line with wages that have been stagnant for 30 years... for some sweets—very few pieces and nothing exceptional in quality—I spent almost 50,000 old lire... I want to understand everything, but this is going beyond common sense. A while ago, we each ordered an orzo and a tiny stuffed babà, and they literally ripped us off... I tried the famous Poppella fiocco, and honestly, it's not worth the price, a huge disappointment... I was wrong to go back; you can find better at much more reasonable prices... The staff is not very friendly.

16/12/2025: The food and preparation are worthy of a place like this. But the prices here make no sense. They charge an extra €1 for each item you order if you eat it at a table. For example, if you order a coffee and three croissants, they charge an extra €4. If you order two coffees and 14 pastries/sweets, they charge an extra €16, applying that cost per item individually (€1 per item). When I asked why, the waitress told me it was normal, acknowledging the lack of logic herself. Wouldn't it make more sense to charge a fixed price for table service?

18/08/2025: The digital menu has prices, then you get a higher-priced receipt. Saltimbocca on the menu we looked at is €4. The receipt arrives for €7. Then they bring you a paper menu with completely different, higher-priced items. They messed up an order four times, so some of us ate late. Coffee, love, never again! Bye!

26/07/2025: If I could...0 stars would be too little. The staff was rude and arrogant, with a guy who looked like he'd been out of bed for 10 minutes, still under the influence of some kind of narcotic. We sat down and ordered two macchiatos and five chocolate croissants. The bar was at its lowest, and it took 20 minutes for the breakfast to arrive. Instead of five croissants, they got three croissants and two chocolate brioches. They didn't even have the courtesy to ask what I wanted since the croissants were out (and at 9 in the morning, you're out of croissants... ugh). We asked the waiter, who responded in an arrogant and presumptuous manner... ehhhh, the croissants were out. Anyway, we left, having only had the two coffees. We sent the rest back to sender. Not recommended both for the welcome and the wait...very long.

19/11/2025: We went to the restaurant this evening, and it wasn't the best experience... We ordered two salads, which, according to the menu, should have contained chicken... They served turkey, which also had a strange smell, and to top it off, one of the dishes contained a hair... We told the cashier, and they pretended not to know that there was turkey instead of chicken...
