04/02/2025: I do not understand the amazing reviews of this place. I hate to be rude, but the food was awful. The atmosphere was dull, music awful. The young waitress who seemed to do almost everything was polite and friendly, she needs to escape this place. Seafood starter was nice, but Lasagna and steak were terrible. We couldn't get out fast enough. I loved the thought of rustic, authentic food, but I will never go back. Do not trust the sparkling reviews.

21/01/2025: La Preferita was the closest restaurant to where we were staying so it was the easy choice for the first meal when we arrived in Amalfi. The service and the food brought us back to have our last meal in Amalfi as well. The owner, Nicola, welcomed us in as we showed up, we were the first dinner patrons and he treated us like family. Nicola was the host, the entertainment, the waiter, the chef, the sommelier, and would've walked us home if we gave him the opportunity. The photos we took of La Preferita and with Nicola sadly did not develop but I don't need them to remember.

15/03/2025: We were recommended by a local we were staying with and were not disappointed! Great service from Umberto, who was attentive and good at suggesting dishes we should try. The food was lovely and we opted for 3 courses and finished with coffee. The food was beautiful! The only downside was it had been raining, otherwise we would have sat out on the terrace. Maybe next time

12/03/2025: Found it almost by chance following the reviews, and we chose very well. Each course made with care and on time, incredible food. Umberto served us with exquisite kindness and courtesy. I would return a thousand times!

18/03/2025: The fact this place does not have a Michelin star is an absolute travesty in regards to Italian food culture. Everything top down was incredible, from food ingredients and composition, to the wine selection and service. This was an absolute chefs kiss of an experience coming from a Chef in America. 23/02/2025: We celebrated my wedding vows in a highly professional environment. High quality of the dishes, from the flavors to the plating, all accompanied by a precise presentation provided by the dining room staff. Despite the various intolerances, celiac disease and anaphylactic shock to fish, my guests and I practically forgot about them given the extreme caution in the room. They deserve more than the 5 stars available, to be returned!

12/01/2025: 12 January 2025 we celebrated the baptism of our son Leonardo. The welcome was sublime, the preparation of the balloon art was very scenographic, the confetti very characteristic. All the guests ate divinely, we made a great impression. All-you-can-eat appetizers, high-quality first courses, very fresh Gulf fried fish. Luigi the owner is a nice person, polite and very helpful. The impeccable waiters. Thanks again for making Leo's baptism so special

02/03/2025: We came from Rome to spend a day with my uncles, they took us to this little place, you can immediately feel the warmth and the typical Campania welcome, then lunch was a triumph of complete flavours, see you next time

13/01/2025: Senza dubbio il ristorante con il miglior rapporto qualità/prezzo nel raggio di svariati chilometri! Eughenes è una vera trattoria a gestione familiare, con piatti della tradizione ottimi e abbondanti, materie prime di qualità a km zero o quasi e personale simpatico e alla mano (mi sembrava di essere alla trattoria del mio paese!). Un ottimo antipasto di terra con prodotti del territorio diviso in due, spaghetti alla Nerano (divini) e gnocchi alla sorrentina di primo, tutto abbondante, birra per mia moglie e vino della casa per me, e fin qui avremmo speso appena 46 Euro in due con caffè, amari e tutto mangiando a sazietà e ce ne saremmo potuti andare contenti. Senonché, fra le proposte di pesce pescato del giorno, c’era qualcosa che non potevamo non prendere, un pesce che dalle nostre parti non si trova e che aspettavo da anni di poter gustare di nuovo: una “pezzogna” (Pagellus bogaraveo o “occhialone”), un bell’esemplare da quasi un chilo che ci siamo allegramente divisi, 30 onestissimi Euro di extra per un totale di 76 Euro in due per quello che è stato il miglior pranzo dell’intera vacanza in un ristorante dove non vediamo l’ora di poter tornare e che diventerà una tappa fissa nei futuri viaggi nella zona!

09/01/2025: Superb food and scenic view of Positano. We had an amazing experience here with great service from Carlo. Our favorite dish was Pasta with black truffles. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who looks for a high end restaurant in Positano.

20/12/2024: Went here for my 25th birthday and it was 1) the best meal I had the entire trip and 2) a meal I have thought about at least 2x per month since I went over a year ago. I had the pistachio pesto pasta and it was the most amazing thing. I have tried so many pestos, called so many restaurants, and even tried to make my own but nothing compares. I want to go back badly to Positano for many reasons but this restaurant is a major one.
