19/11/2025: To me, A’Marenna is the best place for sandwiches and salads in Sorrento—not only for the food, but also for the staff and the vibe! They have so many choices that it was hard to decide, since I liked so many toppings. I tried the panuozzo and the No.5 salad. Even though I’m not usually a fish lover, the tuna fillet was excellent—paired with cheese, almonds, apples, and greens, it offered layers of flavour and texture. I loved it so much that I ordered the same sandwich two days in a row! We ordered quite a lot: each salad comes with bread, and we also had a salad and a sandwich each. The staff wondered if we could finish everything, and we did—it became our dinner that day and breakfast the next morning. The staff were very friendly and chatted with us while preparing the food. One of them shared her love for Florence when I mentioned my upcoming trip, and when I returned the next day, they still remembered us despite serving so many customers daily. That made us feel really welcome. I also had a nice conversation with one of the staff about her holiday plans. She mentioned wanting to visit Tanzania but was concerned about the situation there. I truly hope she has a wonderful and safe journey—she deserves a relaxing holiday after such a busy tourist season.

04/01/2026: The restaurant, housed in an old apartment, boasts a very distinctive interior, with period floors and doors paired well with more modern and colorful furnishings. The courtyard inside the building is also beautiful, while the exterior façade and entrance are unremarkable and poorly maintained. The dishes, while sophisticated and modern, have a traditional foundation. The wines, carefully selected by the sommelier, complemented the food very well, even though some of the pairings seemed a bit daring. The service was attentive, courteous, yet appropriately informal. As for dessert, you can sense the difference in thinking between the pastry chef and the chef; the desserts are more extravagant and detached from tradition. Excellent value for a one-Michelin-star restaurant. Highly recommended and a must-try!

27/10/2025: We have been traveling in Europe for a month and really missed a good burger. The Elizabetha and Nairobi burgers were outstanding, and the fries with skins were more flavorful than anything at home. The limoncello Tiramasu was a unique treat, and the spritzes were refreshing!

26/10/2025: During my stay in Maiori, I had dinner twice at Cico’s Cucina & Burger. The first time I tried the Scrigni Maioresi and a Tiramisù Nutella, and the second time the Ravioli alla Bolognese and Il Dolce di Maiori. Both meals were fantastic — especially the desserts, which were just packed with flavor. The owner is also super friendly and makes you feel truly welcome. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone visiting Maiori!

15/02/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance... and how lucky we were! We fell in love with it immediately. You can really taste how much they care about the quality of their ingredients: few dishes, but carefully conceived—balanced, full of flavor, and made with passion. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service genuinely friendly... we felt right at home, pampered from start to finish. It was a wonderful discovery, and we'll definitely be back soon!

The same at this restaurant go with an easy approach and enjoy the food atmosphere and the pace with which dining should be, truly good food.

18/10/2025: I went for lunch for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say that besides being a very nice place, the food is also very good. We had two sandwiches, which were delicious. But in my opinion, the appetizers are the highlight; I really enjoyed them.

28/02/2026: For me, one of the three best restaurants in all of Irpinia. Aside from the excellent menu (the pomegranate with pork capocollo is brilliant, and the arancini are top-notch), "La Pignata" has what many restaurants in this region lack. They want to be a bit more sophisticated (I'm obviously not talking about traditional, popular osterias), but they don't know how to make a living (they don't understand the rules of restaurant culture). Here, however, it's there: kindness when making a reservation, impeccable service, with discreet courtesy and a sommelier in the dining room (many in Italy and around the world know Irpinia only for its wines, and it would be wise to ensure they find a respectable sommelier when they enter a restaurant), and the entire "liturgy" that introduces and concludes the menu, from the chef's welcome to the pre-dessert to the small pastries. Plus, it offers a quality/price ratio that's hard to find in more renowned tourist destinations. Moreover, the restaurant is right below the Norman castle and the municipal villa. Worth a trip or a detour.

11/02/2026: We came here upon a recommendation of our driver from earlier in the trip...and we were not disappointed. The drive is a beautiful appetizer of what is to come. The island specialty is rabbit prepared in clay cookware. The atmosphere here is local and charming.

25/10/2025: Anyone coming to Ischia absolutely mustn't miss this stop!!! Excellent food, sublimely cooked rabbit, homemade pappardelle, and excellent, authentic side dishes. And last but not least, the lady's dessert, the best. Friendly and hospitable owners and staff, a welcoming atmosphere. In short, everything was excellent, even the price.

27/10/2025: Our last night…and could not have chosen a more perfect place – probably our overall best dining experience! Arrived before sunset (reservations a must, due to a cozy, intimate dining area) and immediately welcomed by the vivacious Alessia. Along with her aunt and another young lady, they treated us with such hospitality and service that we perhaps spent more time in conversation with them then among ourselves. To listen to their stories of their history and that of the restaurant, dating back some 80-years, made us feel we were having dinner in their home. Add the fact that the atmosphere is set on an elevated covered terrace, with direct views of Amalfi…as the sun set and the lights of Amalfi began to come on, no words can fully describe!!! Group of 8 adults, so we had a chance to try a variety of menu items…the grilled fish, Pasta al Limone (outstanding and so unique to Amalfi), smoked Scamorza cheese in lemon leaves and my favorite, the Tris di Marinati - marinated tuna, swordfish & anchovies. EVERYTHING we had was among the best we had among all the other restaurants during our visit! The perfect ending to our meal…as we came off the elevator to the street below, we were personally greeted by Nicola, the grandfather who began it all!

25/10/2025: Excellent fish restaurant on Ischia with outstanding advice and friendly service. The fish (amberjack) was excellent and perfectly prepared, and the pasta with the house pesto was a real highlight. Special thanks to Vanessa for her attentive and competent service. Highly recommended!

14/10/2025: Superb experience. Set in an idyllic small holding & vineyard. Fabulous menu, of deliciously superb cuisine. Great wines (including their own). Friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the island.
