28/09/2025: Agriturismo Il Cicerone is a fantastic place, as is the staff: humble and friendly people who immediately put you at ease. The food is extraordinary, from the appetizers to the first courses, to the excellently cooked grilled meats. The homemade cured meats, besides being delicious, brought back memories of the unique flavors of yesteryear. Thank you for your hospitality and congratulations on everything.

12/03/2026: I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening at Il Pergolato da Angelo, a seafood restaurant that truly knows how to captivate its guests. The fish is incredibly fresh, evident from the first bite: every dish is meticulously prepared and simply delicious. From the appetizer to the main course, every course reflects the quality of the ingredients and the passion for seafood. The staff is excellent, always kind, helpful, and attentive to every need. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing: it's the perfect place to spend a carefree day, whether for lunch or dinner. You truly feel at home, pampered, and welcome. An added bonus is definitely the owner, Angelo, an extraordinary person: with his warmth and live music, he manages to brighten up your stay, making the experience even more enjoyable and engaging. 28/02/2026: It's located on the main road leading to Amantea, not far from the A3 motorway. Excellent cuisine. The service is attentive (Danilo, the owner's son, was there to serve us). The menu is varied. We had excellent raw fish, mixed fried fish, and seared octopus. The fish was incredibly fresh, beautifully cooked, and the staff were friendly and clean. How wonderful that in Calabria there are restaurants with 40 years of history that can offer a truly satisfying gastronomic experience without going overboard. 08/02/2026: We returned to this restaurant in the center of the village after a few years, welcomed by the owner who expertly guided us through the choice of dishes. Differing opinions among the diners (8) regarding the quality and originality of the dishes... I personally really enjoyed the roast goat. The cost-benefit ratio leaned a bit... towards the price. It's never worth ordering "center courses"; the classic individual portions are better. The village is always lovely.

Excellent pizzas, but the cover charge is steep at €2.50 (this isn't Positano), and quick service, but with a few oversights... I don't recommend online reservations since not everyone is social... P.S.: They could also accept phone reservations.

28/09/2025: We ordered a hot seafood trio where the cod fillets were too salty and the cuttlefish with chickpea cream was very spicy, even though it wasn't indicated on the menu. Then the grilled fish: the sea bass had very burnt skin, and the fillet wouldn't come off the skin easily. Slow service for two people; over an hour passed from when we ordered to when we received our main courses (we came in at 1:15 and left at 3).

01/03/2026: In the historic center, there's a place that's more than just a tavern: it's become a meeting place, a small beating heart of community. Today, La Nicchia is elegant, well-kept, and welcoming. Alessandra and Walter have managed to do something rare: raise the bar without losing their soul. Good food, tables filled with smiles, people who happily stay even after dessert. And then there's the warmth. Human warmth, of course. But also genuine warmth. Finally, my love has found a place where he doesn't suffer from the cold. In the winter, it's truly wonderful here. Long live the pellet stoves at La Nicchia.

22/02/2026: Sometimes good things happen by chance: the first Sunday of February 2026, with beautiful, sunny weather. I call several restaurants, between Trebisacce, Civita, and Roseto, but they're all full. Osteria La Nicchia tells me they have room. The restaurant is located in the historic center of Roseto Capo Spulico, and the view is breathtaking. We're immediately greeted with kindness and courtesy. We exchange a few words with the owner, then we choose our dishes. The service is fairly quick. The dishes are a mix of tradition and innovation, both meat and fish. A truly magnificent experience, with generous, beautifully presented, and truly delicious dishes. The price is fair for the quality. An experience worth repeating to try other delicacies.
