10/11/2025: From the very first moment, the place makes you want to stay, as the staff warmly welcomes you to a table. The food is excellent and there's nothing to complain about. We happened to be there off-season and managed to get a seat without any problems, but I think reservations are essential during peak season. I won't go into detail here; it's worth going and checking this place out for yourself.

The setting is a fantastic blend of the tranquility of a mountain cabin and the fresh air and views of the countryside around San Donato di Ninea, whose historic center is just a short distance away. The family-run business adds a great value to the experience itself and helps you explore the local cuisine, which offers a wide variety and quality.

14/01/2026: A must-try if you want to try traditional food. The ingredients are excellent, as are the dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The meal was excellent, accompanied by the pleasant presence of the owner, who explained the dishes and recommended the best ones based on our tastes. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The typical local first courses are definitely worth trying. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be back.

27/08/2025: We ate here a couple of nights ago. Reservations are recommended to secure a spot on the terrace. Convenient dedicated parking is available. Very helpful staff. We had excellent, truly original pizzas. They also have good fried and grilled fish. The dessert menu is excellent, too.

23/08/2025: The staff were courteous and professional, the pizzas were high-quality, the dough well-leavened and easy to digest, and the cooking was perfect. They even let us bring our dog along. Highly recommended.

21/10/2025: We celebrated Domenico's baptism and first birthday! It was a confirmation because we had already been there and I had fallen in love with it! Enchanting place, well-kept and characteristic! Given the weather, they warmed the atmosphere with the fireplace! I thank the owners for their kindness and availability, the service, especially Giuseppe, a man from another time! I thank the excellent cook, because she cooked delicious food and with her sweetness even prepared roasted chestnuts for us! In short, if you don't go and meet them, you're crazy ❤️ more people and activities like this!

20/12/2025: If you're looking for the true essence of the sea, you've come to the right place: the fish is incredibly fresh, treated with a rare respect. We tried incredibly light, crispy, and dry fried fish, which simultaneously protected and enhanced the authentic flavor of the catch. But the real added value was the chef's ability to showcase the excellence of the Calabrian region. I found the use of fruit sublime: that touch of freshly grated citrus on the dishes created an aromatic contrast that masterfully enhanced the flavor of the sea. ​An honorable mention goes to the extraordinary helpfulness of the staff and the kitchen. Despite my unusual and personalized requests, I was greeted with a smile and impeccable precision. It's rare to find a place that combines high-end cuisine with such flexibility and attentiveness to the customer's needs. ​A heartfelt thank you for making us feel like special guests and for honoring the flavors of Calabria with such mastery. We'll definitely be back!

The appetizers were rich and delicious, and the seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. True quality, without frills. We'll definitely be back to try other creations and their pizza. 19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏
