19/10/2024: Very delicious and romantic! Highly recommended their onion soup! Prices are good. Portions are big. Local vino is good too! Quite charming place to spend an evening with taste of local food. Very beautiful paintings on the walls. Have to be more warm lights on the tables.

16/10/2024: Just what my boyfriend and I were looking for. Simple and good pasta. The peperoncino spaguetti had a quick. The porcini in the tagliatelle was so soft and buttery. They had good vegetarian options, as we often struggle to find non-fishy and meaty variations in Tropea. Reccomend.

21/02/2025: One of the most famous cocktail bars in the city. Excellent products, vast choice and impeccable service. Professional, friendly and always available staff. Perfect place for an aperitif or after dinner. An essential stop for those who want to drink well in the city center.

24/03/2025: Perfect dinner. Well-kept place, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pizza is delicious, cooked in a wood oven and with quality ingredients. The service is excellent: the owners are very kind and the waiters are always available and attentive. Fair prices for the quality. Absolutely must try!

26/03/2025: I was there a few Sundays ago, the place was packed with people and they found us a place to stay and so far so good! We order, some people get what they ordered, others after a very long wait a waiter, albeit kind, arrives and tells us that the buns for the hamburgers are finished and that the sandwich would be replaced with panpizza... already here the first slip because after an hour of waiting for the sandwich in the kitchen you should know that you would not have covered all the orders... worse, a small group of people including me go away and leave the table given the late hour and ask for the bill and if it could be split... the boy at the cash register, very annoyed, answers that it can't be done because the cash register doesn't allow it... which is completely false because all the cash registers in the places do it and the cash registers of all the places are authorized to do it. However, having said that I don't think I'll go back since 2 times out of 2 the treatment was not very correct.

02/01/2025: Restaurant with a very short menu. The products are all fresh. This is good. But every dish is missing something. Tuna tartare is simply chopped tuna. No gas station, nothing Mix of fried fish (fish and shrimp) - tasty, but no sauce, nothing. Fish without sauce is delicious, but shrimp without sauce is very sad Tuna is a huge portion and also without sauce or any additives The service was good at the beginning, but then the wait for the bill was long Interior - essentially there is none Overall a good restaurant with fresh food

19/03/2025: Beautiful place, super latte macchiato, but don't take the whole wheat croissants...unfortunately they don't make them and they are inedible. I took it for the second time hoping that the first time was a coincidence, but it wasn't....too bad...

03/12/2024: Pear ice cream! 🍐Super recommended, although my friends tried the orange one with cinnamon and they loved it too. An added value that I noticed is that when the staff knew that we were Mexican, they played varied and happy music in Spanish. 😊

06/04/2025: This place "punches way above its weight"! We've eaten kebabs in lot of countries and this is one of the most well balanced and delicious examples we have had in a very long time. Everything is fresh, tasty and they are made up very quickly. If that isn't enough to entice you then the price - €4.50 - seals the deal. Do yourself a favour, when you're in the area go and grab one or two. You will be glad you did.

09/03/2025: You have to check the place's hours, it says it closes at 11 p.m., at 10:15 p.m. on a Friday I saw it open through the window, I went down to buy and at 10:20 p.m. it was closed 🥲

21/11/2024: Disappointing, Went here for dinner in October based on the reviews and hoping for something a bit special and away from the commercial centre. The venue was very nice, probably the first meal indoors on our holiday. However all the other clientele were also tourists, no Italians, always a bad sign. Maybe because of this there was no atmosphere. The staff also lacked the typical Italian hospitality, possibly because the boss/chef was American.(oops). But the main gripe was that the food wasn't anything special. We ordered a whole fish to share. Presentation could have been better but they hadn't even descaled it which in my book is pretty basic. Also we could hear the frequent ping of the microwave. Still better than most UK restaurants but expect better in Italy.

16/11/2024: I had been living in Tropea for a few weeks and this place and their sister restaurant, la dispensa by boca, are my favorite spots by far. The food is amazing, I enjoyed every meal and kept going back. I tried a few of the pasta dishes and main courses, and all are delicious, including the friesian sirloin steak, which was perfectly cooked. the three course tasting menu is a very good value. All of the seafood was very fresh and very well prepared. I loved how they mixed flavors and explored new ways of incorporating Calabrese staples. Each meal was a really fun foodie experience. The wine selection is also excellent. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and excited about the food and wine. It’s also beautiful as it is in the square next to the duomo. This is a must visit when in Tropea, enjoy!

18/03/2025: We were welcomed by Edoardo, the owner in a very polite way, he explained everything we asked him, very kind and polite, the food was very fresh, it will become my reference restaurant when I come to Calabria

16/01/2025: Creative, small card that changes every now and then. My spaghetti Aglio Olio Peperoncino con Gamberi Rosso simply tastes fantastic and is attractively prepared. Good bottle of Cirò Rosso 10 EUR. Incredibly attentive and friendly service...excellent! That's how hospitality works. Portions weren't the largest, but it was fine for me. Gladly again!

25/03/2025: They didn't allow us to come in, because we had a Dog with Us. They also didn't allow us to sit down and eat outside and said "it's not Clean". We Are on a Journey around Italy, since 4 weeks. This was the worst experience, We made in the whole time.

15/03/2025: Everything perfect. Definitely among the best pizzerias in the area. Excellent pizza: in the dough, in the quality and in the combination of ingredients. Fast service and welcoming place. Highly recommended.
