The sunset view from San Domenico is simply breathtaking—one of those views that makes you pause for a moment before ordering, because you realize you're looking at something rare. That alone would be worth the visit.
But the cuisine is no exception: the gnocchi with gurnard, snapper, strawberries, and chili pepper are an extraordinary dish—creativity, technique, and Calabrian terroir blend impeccably. Sweet, seafood, spicy. A balance few manage to achieve.
The service is top-notch, attentive, and never intrusive. Special mention to Maria Concetta, whose professionalism and warmth made the evening even more enjoyable—the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer.
San Domenico plays in Serie A. One of the best restaurants on the Calabrian coast, without a doubt.

A terrace overlooking the sunset 🌅, very beautiful and evocative, you can breathe in the
silence of the sea. Very friendly and attentive service. The young woman who looked after us during dinner was very professional and intent on conveying the chef's philosophy. Dishes? We enjoyed the snapper with strawberries, and the shrimp on creamed potatoes were also good. The stuffed calamari were fine. We weren't convinced by the rice with anchovies, for two reasons: it was cooked too al dente, and the anchovies seemed to have landed on the plate a bit by chance. Does that make sense? It feels like Milan... for us, who are from Milan... but at least we had the sunset in front of us.

An indescribable spectacle! The terrace overlooking the sea and the delicious food. From the raw ingredients used to the excellent skills of Chef Bruno, all accompanied by the great professionalism of the young woman who looked after us at the table.
We did the tasting menu, which focused primarily on fish.
