14/02/2026: I went with my wife and children, one of whom is celiac and lactose intolerant. He had no problems, no restrictions on his choice of pizza or fries...he ordered everything and was very satisfied! We also had an exceptional pizza, made with Neapolitan dough! Even the coffee at the table is meticulously prepared: the cup is covered with a special, leak-proof lid that keeps the coffee as hot as if it were being drunk at the counter! The staff is very courteous and professional. Highly recommended.

08/02/2026: The pizza and the fried food recommended to us were good, but we were a bit crowded at the table even though the place wasn't crowded. I'll definitely be back; one of the best pizzas I've had in Basilicata (Neapolitan dough).

The food was delicious, authentic, and well-prepared: typical Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, genuine ingredients, which made the dinner enjoyable and memorable. The wine selection and the quality of the dishes also contributed to making everything perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home, attentive to detail and ready to recommend the house specialties with a sincere smile. In short, even though I've only been there once, Restaino Restaurant left a truly positive memory, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Lucanian cuisine in a unique and evocative setting. 08/02/2026: biggest tourist trap ever. i went today and i think that almost every day they serve the same cheap options, for example pork red sauce (salsa salsiccia) and broccoli pasta....... both are the cheapest options ever and they do not taste good. better spend those 5 euros ELSEWHERE. they probably spend less than 1 eur making a portion. it was those viral tiktoks that made me go but never again

06/01/2026: We stumbled upon this place in the center of Maratea by chance. What can I say, a pleasant discovery. The staff is friendly and helpful, the parmigiana and lasagna are delicious, and the Amaro Maratea liqueur, paired with the bocconotto, is fabulous!

Very good traditional Lucanian first courses and a truly excellent meat-based second course. I highly recommend this experience, especially at a great price for the quality.
