12/06/2025: I have been going to Luciano's agriturismo for 13 years and I wouldn't change it for any other in the area. He and his family are good people, his wife makes excellent cakes...you eat well and home-made, the rooms are basic but clean and then you are surrounded by a fantastic view.

30/03/2025: Specifico che dalla mia ultima recensione, il locale ha cambiato gestione e molte cose sono decisamente peggiorate, ad eccezione della location. Il menù è rimasto a base di carne e pesce con la variazione della pizza solo il sabato sera. Al momento dell’ordinazione ci è stato sottolineato che il locale nel giro di 2 settimane avrebbe chiuso per ferie pertanto non tutte le portate del menù erano disponibili quindi il cameriere, gentilmente, ci ha suggerito anche i fuori menù proponendoci come antipasti delle polpettine di baccalà, invisibili, grandi poco più di un'oliva verde, euro 2, 50 al pezzo e piccole polpettine di melanzane, banalissime, con impasto frullato euro 1,50 al pezzo. Il colmo è stato l’arrivo della birra ordinata con data di scadenza Novembre 2024 (episodio già successo a dicembre 2024, pur non essendo prossimi alle ferie); naturalmente l’alternativa è ricaduta su una banalissima birra italiana da discount, in quanto essendo prossimi alla chiusura feriale (ribadisco 2 settimane) nel locale non c’era nessuna altra bottiglia di birra disponibile, resta ben inteso che nessuno del personale, titolare e chi che sia abbia minimamente chiesto scusa o mostrato un minimo segno di rammarico per l’accaduto. Dopo aver ordinato e atteso pazientemente i nostri piatti, ahimè ci siamo immediatamente resi conto che quelli a base di carne (tagliata) erano immangiabili poiché la carne era dura e non masticabile, allorché qualcuno ha preferito mandare indietro il piatto, sostituito con del pesce (salmone con verdure ottimo) a pagamento, ed anche qui scuse e quant’altro completamente assenti. Inutile dire che non ci è stato offerto neanche un bicchiere d’acqua o sconto, visto l’esito della cena, per di più il conto è stato incassato direttamente dallo chef (presente alla cassa) il quale non ha proferito nessuna parola di scusa… orripilante.

21/07/2025: Excellent food, dimly lit and unwelcoming location. Good selection of salads, overall quite comprehensive menu. I would have given the service a 5 if they hadn't messed up our takeout order: We put together our €8.90 salad from our cell phone with our choice of ingredients, specifying that we wanted salmon and cruschi peppers. When we got home, we were surprised to open the packages and find a plain salad WITHOUT ANY SALMON OR CRUSCHI PEPPERS... of a lower commercial value. Luckily we ordered and the menu was put together from our cell phone; a serious and unprofessional mistake. I didn't have time to return, but I'll definitely point it out, as I'll have the chance if I ever return.

16/07/2025: We spent two days at Agriturismo l'Agrifoglio, choosing half-board so we could explore the nearby woods during the day and return for dinner in the evening. The owner (Benito) welcomed us, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and you can spend hours reading a book in the garden while the kids play on the nearby soccer field (Benito even treated us to a cold beer and a charcuterie board). There are virtually no cars on the nearby road, and the only sounds are those of the woods and farm animals. Within 30 minutes, there are numerous attractions worth visiting for a day immersed in nature. Breakfast and dinner are excellent and generous; we couldn't finish everything they prepared for dinner, so after breakfast, we packed bags for the kids to have a snack during their hikes. Of course, you shouldn't expect 5-star rooms at a farmhouse, but they are clean and functional, and reasonable for the price.

05/07/2025: I can't fault this place, a little untidy, not well decorated, there are no staff to review but what an authentic experience. We chose this place more out of curiosity than anything else. Vincenzo's wife was petting their dog on the step and we walked past thinking "Where is this restaurant?" We backtracked and were welcomed in, it was a little late for them in retrospect, it was about 8 and they close at 9.30. Vincenzo greeted us effusively in Italian without considering our language but, we understood and took a table. The conversation continued with an almost telepathic understanding as our host explained what we were going to eat, understanding that my wife is a vegetarian was a cue for him invent a new dish, it seemed. The meal and house wine arrives after antipasto and bread. I had the carbonara sofie had a delightful pasta with a beautiful tomato based sauce with a little chilli and other tasty ingredients. After the meal Vincenzo and I had a discussion about our cooking methods, they turned out to be similar in some interesting ways, like mashing and cooking the tomatoes with peppers for 3 to 4 hours and other "secrets" we shared. It was nothing like going to a restaurant, more like visiting an old friend and discussing food. Arrive early if you are after one of his beautiful sounding seafood dishes. Worth travelling to potenza just for this. He has no card machine so, make sure you have cash

04/07/2025: Delicious pasta lunch — so authentic that there were no menus, we were just verbally told (with the help of Google Translate) the four items on the menu that day. A great lunch option that’s not far off the highway on the way to Matera.

08/06/2025: Each room is named after a famous actor or actress; we stayed in the Woody Allen and Paul Newman rooms.

13/05/2025: Mrs. Barbara welcomes us, very friendly, pleasant and passionate; the place is full of charm, created in a medieval environment and renovated with great taste and without saving. Our room had an entrance room with stove, sofa and kitchen, a staircase and there is a single bed and the bathroom. Another ladder and there is the double bed. It overlooks a very beautiful countryside from above

01/06/2025: Questa è la seconda sera in cui torniamo qui x cena...il locale è caldo ed accogliente proprio come il personale...il cibo è preparato con cura ed è appetibile...i prezzi allineati alla qualità del cibo...nn potevamo trovare locale migliore in un luogo cosi piccolo. Consiglio vivamente
