The owner was hospitable, kind, and extremely helpful. We lost a phone on the via ferrata, and he immediately found a way to get it back. The menu was very good, especially the sausages. We'll be back!

This place was recommended to us. And I'd say it was an excellent experience. The food was amazing, super plentiful, and the staff was absolutely super kind and attentive. Walking into this place took me back to my childhood. The 80s!! Where everything was authentic, unadulterated, and spontaneous. Thank you for everything!!! We'll definitely be back!!!

Trattoria Al Vecchio Scarpone

02/05/2026: Excellent local cuisine, with truly exceptional traditional dishes and a memorable mixed roast. The only downside is the commercial desserts (we recommend the homemade local desserts, in keeping with the rest of the dishes). The owner and his son are truly kind, hospitable, and attentive. Overall, we'll definitely be back!
20/04/2026: A simple place like a trattoria should be, excellent service and dishes correctly filled but simple as per Lucanian tradition.

14/05/2026: This restaurant has a rich cultural heritage; it's nearly 100 years old, and the building itself is over 100 years old. That's why it received a cultural award, which is quite unique. The food is Southern Italian cuisine. Local red peppers (I didn't take a picture) are used in the dishes, and they're very fragrant. Please see the photos for food descriptions. Overall, it suited my taste. Personally, I think everything—from the sourdough bread and cheese platter to the raw meat platter—was delicious. If you're ever in this area, I highly recommend trying it. 👍🏻😊
