17/03/2026: Reservations are required to avoid waiting. Very friendly staff. Fast service, although it could be improved on this occasion. Normal prices. I prefer it to other restaurants of the same type.

09/03/2026: The place and staff were very welcoming and helpful. I had a wonderful meal. You can order à la carte or choose from the €15 set menu, which includes a first or second course. The price also includes a non-alcoholic beverage and a cover charge.

09/03/2026: We returned to "Il Cavallino" after a while and noticed the improvement, especially with the first courses. We tried several first courses, which I think you'll have a chance to try again these days if the menu doesn't change. The seafood risotto, unlike anything you've ever tried, will make you fly, as will the seafood pasta and potatoes, and a treat that might be hard to find elsewhere: the seafood lardiata! For our second course, we opted for the classic mixed fried fish, which was very tasty and the fish was incredibly fresh. We also recommend the desserts, a treat you might only find in a pastry shop: tiramisu cannoli 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 and the ricotta and pear.

04/03/2026: Very friendly staff, good food, unfortunately the location isn't the best in the evening because the supermarket turns off the heat at a certain time, and with the revolving door, it gets cold afterwards. Sitting in the back of the room is less noisy. And then, unfortunately, at a certain point they have to close a little early to get everything sorted out (9:30 PM) because the supermarket then closes at 10:00 PM. And if, like us, you arrive around closing time, you won't get dessert.

01/03/2026: Very human service, except for the bill, the service was a mess. You called them and they answered after an hour and they even looked at you badly, annoyed at doing their job.

The wine was perfectly chosen and complemented the meal beautifully. As for the service, it was exceptional: warm, attentive, and highly professional from start to finish. An address I highly recommend and where I will gladly return!

01/03/2026: An elegant restaurant, meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail, perfectly restored from a rural building. Large tables, professional service. The beautifully presented dishes are exquisite, from appetizers to desserts. Excellent ingredients, expertly prepared. The pizzoccheri bresciani, like the duck breast and the amaretto tiramisu, were delicious. The prices were more than fair, considering the quality. Reservations are easy, using the form on the website, with confirmation sent via SMS and email. 02/02/2026: An excellent Tuscan restaurant serving primarily meat-based dishes. The restaurant has a rare feature: its deliberately extended serving times. If you're looking for a quick meal, abstain; it's ideal for a lunch with family or friends, which can pleasantly last well into the afternoon.

24/01/2026: Very good grilled meat, top-notch Argentinean red wine, I'd say. It's a small, charming place in the heart of Florence. The service is excellent, very friendly and helpful. There's a party atmosphere and music, and after dinner you can even have a drink, just like in a pub. It's lovely, I'll be back.

24/12/2025: A lovely, welcoming place with very friendly owners. The food is excellent and high-quality. Classic cuisine, along with some very unique dishes. The excellent meat selection is cooked on an open grill. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. Definitely worth a try.

09/12/2025: Lately, we've become regulars here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We enjoy the mixed roast, the roast suckling pig, and the rabbit cacciatore, but we also love the first courses, like the pappardelle with wild boar ragù. Home-style cooking is the hallmark of Coppetto, as is the unwavering friendliness and precision of the service, which make you feel right at home. If I had to give it a lower rating, it would be for the ambience being too noisy, but given how packed it is, it's inevitable that there's a lot of background noise.

16/12/2025: We had a Florentine steak, a delight! I've never had such tender and flavorful meat, accompanied by baked potatoes and artichokes—nothing to say except that they were exquisite. Not to mention the desserts, delicious. Even though the place is small, we had our privacy. The owner was friendly and kind. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

26/11/2025: LUCIDO HAS ITS VALUE! (and its price) Dinner for 2 friends, wanting to relax, and excellent food: and we succeeded! ATMOSPHERE Welcoming, well-prepared, very intimate, with very few tables (maybe 5/7 in total, I think). Perfect for listening to the flavors rather than your neighbors (as often happens, unfortunately!). Small and quiet. FOOD Normal appetizers, at least the crostini, but good quantity. Truly EXCELLENT meat, and prepared with Exceptional Love. PURE RAW MATERIALS, DEDICATION, AND PREPARATION. FINISHING: DESSERTS + LIQUORS Good portion and presentation, average. Mixed liquor tastings: DIVINE Superior quality products, even in the spirits. Moreover, expertly explained to fully appreciate them. WINE The selection by the glass isn't huge, but that's fine. What I think could be improved are the prices per glass. €7, €8, and even €18 for a glass seem excessive for someone who wants to have just one glass! DETAILS TO KNOW (and appreciate) 1. Serve the (empty) plates by cleaning them elegantly beforehand; I've only seen that in movies. 2. A meat thermometer: Another Pro. 3. Letting the empty plate on which you serve the meat sit on the stone fireplace, so that it retains as much heat as possible, seemed exceptional to me. The "red" lamp is common, but "warming the plate" to avoid a thermal shock seems like a detail not appreciated by many. 4. For the first time in history, when I asked for just 1 glass of wine, they left the (unopened) bottle of the corresponding wine on the table so I could actually see what I was enjoying... It's never happened to me! I rarely drink just 1 glass, it's true! ; ) 5. Absolute transparency when choosing to pay in cash or with card: that is, no fuss or discounts. The price is there, period. And I think it's fair. SUMMARY: That's all that happened... And if you've read this far, I'm sure you'll come prepared. It seems clear to me that this isn't a place for birthday parties with large tables, or for young people wanting to party. But finally, it's a SPACE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO FEEL GOOD AND ENJOY THEIR QUALITY, WELL-PREPARED FOOD. Of course, with the associated prices, it's always good to be aware of that! ENJOY !
