11/11/2025: Ate there lunch on Sunday and Monday: tagliatelle con porcini; fusili ragu cinghiale raviolo con tartufo; grigliata di carne misto, patate; beer and tartuffo al pistacchio (sorry for the incorrect food spelling). The visual presentation of the food was much better on Monday since it wasnt rush hour/ weekend. The beer was excellent, it is rare to find good tap beer (not flat or sour) in South of Italy. Staff and food outstanding.

05/11/2025: A rustic and welcoming place, in perfect mountain style. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the dishes are truly unique. I especially recommend the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, potatoes with onions and mushrooms, and breaded mushrooms, a true local specialty, a must-try. Naturally, the ingredients are locally sourced and of the highest quality.

15/11/2025: I was here with friends. I'll start by saying that I'm familiar with restaurants that offer aged meats sold by weight, but I've never experienced a situation where the cut wasn't displayed before cooking. Furthermore, the waiter offered us a 1.9 kg and a 1.1 kg cut (€95 per kg each) in a manner that was opaque, almost misleading: we weren't shown anything before cooking, nor was the actual weight shown. The meat was good, but what was served to us didn't correspond at all to the total 3 kg declared. And this, given a bill of €504 for five people (one of whom only ordered a hamburger), wasn't appreciated at all. When selling high-quality meats "by weight," it's essential to display the cut and actual weight before cooking. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were very nice... but unfortunately, the amount of meat served wasn't as declared.

14/11/2025: I'd been wanting to stop by Viro for a while to try and review it, so I took advantage of an outing with a friend to do so. I opted to order several dishes rather than a single cut of meat, to see if it was worth returning to go heavy on the meat, and the answer is YES, definitely worth returning. Let's start with the service: the staff is super friendly, ready to explain the dishes and offer genuine and spontaneous recommendations. Upon entry, they offer a welcome drink, which is a huge plus. The menu is varied, both in terms of choice and price (there are dishes for every price range). I went for the tartare trio, Rubia empanadas, Uruguayan entrenà, and baked marrow as a side. The pictures speak for themselves; all the dishes are beautiful—both visually, in terms of presentation with explanations, and in taste. I'll be back very soon to go even heavier on a nice cut of meat. Tip: The online menu doesn't completely match the menu at the table, so a review of this would be ideal. Likewise, perhaps offering a tasting menu with 4-5 dishes would be a great idea!

19/10/2025: Discovered by chance. Everything feels very homely. The food is fantastic, all the dishes were delicious! Bravo!

08/10/2025: We dined outdoors on a mid-September evening without a reservation. Excellent traditional Apulian dishes. The bombette were excellent, and the Primitivo wine was good. Prices were average. Service was quick and efficient. Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: Everything was delicious, but there are no vegan options! There were two of us, seated upstairs at a spacious table. We had a marinara pizza, a plate of falafel with grilled vegetables, and a portion of fries. We washed it down with an excellent IPA of their own production. The food was exquisite; the pizza was the best I've ever had in Cagliari, the falafel were delicious, as were the vegetables and patties. The food is truly delicious, and the portions are generous. Everything arrived in a reasonable time, although it's impossible not to notice a certain level of tiredness and stress on the part of the waiters. I assume the place is understaffed, which isn't good; the staff needs to be relieved! It's a shame there's no vegetarian sauce to accompany the falafel, and there's no vegan dessert. I would have loved dessert too. A great place, though!

11/10/2025: A well-kept, quiet place. The staff are friendly. The meat is good, as is the beer. But it's expensive, and the price of many dishes depends on the weight of the meat, and the 10% service charge also increases the final bill.

10/10/2025: Milanese risotto with ossobuco and elephant ear is divine. The ear is truly almost as big as a pizza, with a delicious crispy coating.

07/10/2025: Came highly recommended. Food was good and I enjoyed seeing Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, and Barolo on the menu. I tried the meatballs and ossobucco.

31/10/2025: We ate divinely. It's not our first time here, and it certainly won't be our last. It's become a true mountain staple for us. The deliciousness of the food, incredibly fresh and locally sourced, the friendly and helpful service, and the skill of the chef make this trattoria a true gem. The game is excellent, but my favorite dish is the gnocchi del poverello with butter and smoked ricotta—truly excellent and authentic, a simple dish with flavors that evoke childhood memories. 5 stars to Cervo Bianco 😋

26/10/2025: Authentic cuisine, just like the owners. The venison ragù was good, as was the roe deer. The house wine was good, and there was even the great artist Mauro Corona!

19/10/2025: Went for a day trip, pleasant surprise, grilled food cooked in front of customers, simply toppp!! Very kind and friendly staff. I had grilled lamb, a generous portion and very well cooked. See you next time!!

07/10/2025: I tried to book by phone in vain. A voicemail said I had to download the app to book! I did, but it didn't work. Then I tried calling at other times, but nothing worked, just voicemail. Okay, I'll give up. I won't eat at your place, but there's a power struggle with the customer that I don't like, and maybe it's better this way!

07/10/2025: A typical seaside restaurant, very charming, even too much so! At night, if you're a stranger, you risk getting lost in the pine forest with no signs or lights, and especially no parking.

20/10/2025: We stayed there for two nights. We appreciated the beautiful and well-kept environment. In particular, the impeccable cleanliness and the size of the bathroom, which was above the average standards of other hotels. The location is ideal for traveling the Chianti road to San Gimignano, which is considered one of the most beautiful roads in Italy.

27/09/2025: It's always a pleasure to experience the owner's passion. Besides being kind and helpful, he shares all his experience and professionalism in cooking traditional Reggio Emilia dishes. Even though the mushrooms weren't top-notch (porcini mushrooms don't grow in the lower Reggio Emilia area), 5 stars are always confirmed. Thanks also for the excellent frozen limoncello to finish. A must-try in the province!

30/11/2025: Appetizers: sopressa, speck, cheese. No first courses. For the second course: mixed grill (pork chops, sausages, chicken). Side dishes: potatoes, beans. Water, wine. Dessert and coffee. €30 per person: very, very expensive for such a simple menu...

30/11/2025: We were invited for a family dinner. We were greeted terribly at the door. We had two small dogs, and the lady, in a very unkind manner, told us that dogs were not allowed. After a few minutes of use, she found us accommodations with dogs later. Perhaps it was because of the large group? Well, the atmosphere was awful, decorated for Christmas with a few baubles scattered here and there... it would have been better without them. The service was also careless, with waiters forgetting to clear the table for everyone. We asked for the missing place settings 3 or 4 times. When they finally brought them, they threw them away. We were hoping that at least the food would be decent, but no way. The presentation was terrible, the taste was nonexistent, and the "cooking" was also nonexistent. If I have to eat "homemade" pasticcio or gnocchi in a trattoria that are actually frozen, I'll eat at home. We won't be returning.
