10/11/2025: Last Sunday, I went to this restaurant in Aboca for lunch with my friends after a trek.
A well-kept place, young staff, and a nice menu. Excellent service from two attractive young women. If I may offer a piece of advice, in such a large, rustic, and beautiful room, installing an electric heater is not only pointless, but also an eyesore—a real shame. You'd need to invest a bit of money into a nice wood-burning stove, perhaps a cast iron one with copper pipes. Besides making the room much more beautiful and welcoming, it would also heat the very cold environment for those sitting down to eat. That said, I'd recommend this place, but not in the winter.

23/09/2025: Delicious sandwiches, piadinas, and pizzas. There's also outdoor seating at the streetside garden tables. A must-visit every time I pass through Civitella!

The decor is pleasantly timeless, just like the menu.
Authentic dishes. Wine by the bottle, lots of choice but a somewhat pricey selection, so I went for the cheaper house wine at €7 for half a liter. Was okay. Nice cured meats, cheese, and Crostini platter. Guinea fowl with patates al forno. Unfortunately, the sauce on the scallopina al vino Bianco seemed a bit of a failure. Watery and lacking in wine flavor. The desserts, however, were fine, especially crema catalana and cantucci with vin santo. Not a 5 because of that wine sauce before the food. It got quite busy with two larger groups. All in all, a pleasant place and adequate service.

The revisited Pappa al Pomodoro is truly mouth-watering! Exceptional tagliata with porcini mushrooms.
Congratulations! The waiters were helpful and friendly, explaining the various food and wine pairings.

06/05/2026: The ordering process isn't the fastest because all orders fall to a single employee who works tirelessly... but she manages to get back on track in case of delays, both in her manner and by pushing for faster service in the kitchen. The fish is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is like a true osteria, where you feel right at home. Highly recommended.

02/06/2026: We're a big fan of Rome, and we came to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday in late May, trusting previous reviews.
The restaurant, which is also a bar, is located right in the city center, under the porticoes.
We ate outside and were warmly welcomed by the charming, friendly, and helpful owner.
The lunch menu featured simple dishes, for a quick and informal meal, but despite that, everything was very good and served quickly. The wine by the glass was also good, the quality/price ratio was exceptional, and the entire staff was truly friendly and helpful.
If we're ever in the area again in the future, we'll definitely be back to say hello and enjoy your dishes, perhaps this time for dinner.

11/05/2026: A lot of the other reviews of this place are pretty much spot on. It's too expensive for what it is, the dining areas are way too quiet, but the service is exceptional. Spend your money somewhere else.
25/04/2026: We were thrilled for this experience and walked away satisfied. The food & wine was everything you'd expect from a 3-star restaurant. What was missing was the story behind each dish - or the explanation of what we were being served. I've come to expect an in-depth description of each dish and was let down by the limited information provided throughout our tasting menu. The atmosphere was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough - we were seated in a small space with three two-person tables. The balcony in this room opened up to the ground floor where a large group was dining and being extremely loud. I hoped management would have caught this and amended it for the sake of other guests but it did not happen. Lastly, a wine glass was broken by a staff member on my table spilling liquid across my dish and my lap. It was a rough-and-tumble dining experience for a 3-star restaurant.

27/04/2026: We had a wonderful lunch. The restaurant is typically Tuscan and very charming. The menu is very varied, from meat to fish, which I recommend. In the evening, they also make excellent pizzas. I can't thank the owner and staff enough, they are truly lovely people.
10/04/2026: We spent a night at the restaurant and came with our camper through AgriCamper. Honestly, we were very happy with both the food and the service.
Since we were traveling with our two-and-a-half-year-old baby, we really appreciated that they served her first. Contrary to what some Americans have mentioned here, for us that was great, especially since we didn’t even ask for it.
It was truly wonderful and one of the highlights of our experience.
The service was consistently excellent, and the food was delicious, extremely delicious. I highly recommend the pasta, especially the seafood spaghetti. I enjoyed every single bite. Bravo to the chef.
Another thing we loved and highly recommend is ordering a local digestive at the end of the meal. We found out it’s made by the father of the owner or manager, who only speaks Italian. It’s definitely worth trying after dinner.
It’s a shame we couldn’t buy a bottle since they only have large ones for the restaurant, but it was incredibly good. 100% recommended.
