16/05/2025: Bel ristorante quasi nascosto nel centro della bellissima Volterra, molto caratteristico ed elegante. Siamo stati molto bene a pranzo di passaggio, servizio preciso e puntuale, buon menù con piatti molto ricercati, un calice di rosso che non può mancare, conto nella norma. Posto consigliato, ci tornerei sicuramente

27/04/2025: Se un locale viene segnalato da diversi anni dalla Guida Michelin un motivo ci deve pur essere. Situato proprio dietro la piazza principale e il castello, offre un menù vario e completo con una carta dei vini interessante. Il personale è attento e preciso, il servizio ottimo. In due abbiamo preso un piatto di fettuccine al ragù imperiale con fassona, cinta senese e chianina, un risotto ai carciofi e parmigiano, una guancia di manzo stracotta al morellino di scansano con purea di patate e sformato di finocchio e uno sformato di zucchine con lardo di colonnata. Le porzioni non sono enormi, il conto, 79 euro, giusto per la location, il servizio, la qualità del cibo e delle materie prime. Se volete togliervi uno sfizio qui non vi sbagliate

22/04/2025: I went one day and the normal cappuccino cost €1.70. The other one cost me €2.50. I mentioned it to the girl and she told me that "maybe" it was because I had sat down the second time. Not even she knew it, but she wasn't going to scream for 70 cents either, although a little coherence would be nice. I want to think it wasn't because I'm not Italian. The orange juice is delicious, but €4.50... 😵‍💫

03/05/2025: Excellent fish dinner in a delightful square, friendly staff and quick service, excellent value for money. Very kind, they offered us a limoncello when we settled the bill!

27/04/2025: First time on Elba. At the La Rosa hotel the welcome and hospitality are good, that kind of atmosphere that doesn't make you feel like a customer but, in fact, a guest. A special thank you to Giada and Linda who made our stay special also from a human point of view. Rooms a little spartan but clean and equipped with everything you need, without any inconveniences. The L'Ottavo pizza restaurant is also good. Good quality house white wine, fish first and second courses prepared with attention and care. Very good pizzas with very good combinations, a quick selection is recommended. We will be back

28/03/2025: Magical place. The only deli in the historic center, it stands out first of all for the kindness of the staff, who advise and meet the various needs of customers. The dishes are very good, genuine, home cooking. Even the desserts are excellent. They also make express sandwiches and schiacciate much cheaper than those of the neighbors. I always go back!

25/05/2025: After the Tuscany trail, I’ve tried this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious compared to all I tested during my tour of Toscany on my bike. I highly recommend even if you don’t love fish, it is really really tasty.

20/04/2025: A fantastic restaurant! You can tell the passion of the chef and the team in each dish-a devotion to taste! I loved the set menu style of the restaurant-I came with my family and it was great to all have shared the same food experience! Will be coming back!!!

01/05/2025: Il tempo si è fermato in questo luogo. Semplicità, cortesia senza finzioni, ottime materie prime, poca scelta ed è giusto così. Entrate senza pretese e resterete meravigliati dalla soddisfazione per un semplice panino fatto al momento ❤️

27/04/2025: Stavamo tornando a casa da una vacanza in Toscana, siamo passati per caso davanti a questa osteria e ci siamo fermati verso le 14.00. Locale semplice e un pò datato, ma gestito da un simpatico Pugliese trapiantato in loco da oltre 20 anni. Ci ha servito abbondanti affettati, formaggi e altre leccornie del luogo, con cortesia e simpatia e con un prezzo modestissimo. Super consigliato. Gli Anconetani!!

05/05/2025: Good food, fresh fish and okay prices. Please get that Smart off the road every day. There's only your car parked every day to slow down traffic and bother you. I understand Sunday lunch when there are a lot of people, but you leave it 7 a day, 24 hours a day and with the wheels turning too. In the morning at 8am you lose 5 minutes a day every day due to the traffic created on the road. Does this seem normal to you?

02/05/2025: Mixed fried food is served to you at the price of 20 euros per portion, on a bed of french fries. I wonder why someone who orders mixed fried food is also brought chips? It seems exaggerated to me to ask 20 euros for a portion of fried food where there are more potatoes than fried food. (but what are the ways of replying? Do you change the dish? What do I say and what do you answer me?

15/05/2025: ZEROCALCARE signing sessions. He and the publisher Bao are very nice and punctual. Only one star instead for the organization of the event by the bookstore. Divided into 3 steps: drawing 15.00-18.00, 18.00-19.00 talk, 19.30-24.00 signing session. I leave home at 6.50, train and off I go, I arrive at 7.40 and I am 63rd in line (a gentleman contacted us 3 times), opening at 9 and delivery of the passes (bracelets) with a number written on them. They say that for the 1st step there are only 75 passes, I'll go back!! but when it's my turn they're already sold out 🤔 (I'm 15 and I'm ashamed to do myself justice), I'm the 6th excluded so I have to settle for the signing session. I feel bad😩, I get angry😡, I repress it thinking that the important thing will be to meet him. I enter school in 3rd period, I go out, I eat a sandwich on the fly and at 2pm I get back in line outside the library for the 6pm talk. At 4pm everyone stands, otherwise "we'll take up too much space" says one of the security guards. Finally I go in and enjoy the chat. They say NOW EVERYONE OUT AND WHO HAS A PASS FOR THE FIRMADILLO GET IN LINE FOR THE TIME GROUPS WRITTEN ON THE BRACELET. I go out, convinced that I will return almost immediately since I am number 6 in the first group, and here is another injustice, the line (60 people per hour) has already formed while the talk was taking place, I am second to last... My mother has joined me, worried about the time of returning to the train, she argues with the 2 security "gorillas" who do not enforce the order of the numbers assigned in the morning, the response of one of them is I DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE NUMBER. I am back inside to meet him, finally, even if I am the last one in the third time I have been in line since this morning. I look at the time and if everything goes well we will be able to take the 9.14 train and return home by 10pm... the director of the bookstore arrives and takes me by the hand and makes me climb among the first, perhaps she has understood that something has gone wrong? I thank her, but this is just not right, 3 times in line despite the numbered bracelet. What should be security, of indecent rudeness. I arrive home at 9 pm, very tired but still happy. Because to get justice you have to raise your voice, why?

17/05/2025: Son said: It was yummy, they could have had a little bigger portions :-) I had enough food and I only ate one dish and a piece of starter from my wife - bread with liver - who likes liver, I recommend it - a very tasty appetizer. We took two tables together in front of the restaurant, the service was nice and patient. The price of the meal, after dividing the price by the number of diners, came to 19.50. Although the restaurant is right next to a public parking lot, we could still count the passing cars on one hand during lunch around 2:00 PM.
