A very beautiful and characteristic Lucchese place, delicious food and just the right portions and a lot of care. The place is welcoming and available to all your needs. I recommend it to anyone who wants to taste one of the authentic Lucchese cuisines.

During our visit to Lucca, we had the pleasure of dining at Da Francesco and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for lunch the next day. Authentic food, generous portions, and particularly delicious soup, tagliata, and desserts! Super friendly and helpful staff, fast service, and fair prices... and I almost forgot, the house wine was excellent! Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant in the center of Lucca. We found it by chance a few months ago and returned last weekend. I think it will become our go-to place in Lucca. Excellent traditional Lucchese food with seasonal specialties that are hard to find elsewhere.

Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and quality dishes. Excellent farro soup, and the rice with creamed onion and pancetta is also very good.

Pizzeria Da Gilbe

12/04/2026: If you want a good pizza, this is the place. They have a wide selection of pizzas, specialty pizzas, and focaccias. I've tried several, and they've all been good. The size and ingredients are generous. If you order takeout, they're very quick. They also do home delivery. Or you can eat in on the veranda. Friendly staff.
25/02/2026: We stopped here by chance after attending the Carnival in Viareggio. What a wonderful discovery! The staff is incredibly kind, they took great care of us and our little son. They provided us with a high chair, made us a baby pizza, and were incredibly accommodating to our requests. The bathroom—almost unique—has a changing table. The pizza is really good, light, and well-cooked. We'll definitely be back!
