03/04/2026: We had a great time, the service was friendly, the food was very good, I'd go back! The pasta alla norma was top notch!

03/04/2026: A nice restaurant in the center of Catania with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially when they arranged a table inside for us with a stroller, which we really appreciated. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. My smoked pizza was not bad, but in Italy I expected more – the dough felt below average and quite greasy. The Margherita pizza was similar. On the other hand, the tuna steak was excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. For dessert, I had a chocolate tartlet with salted caramel. It was good, but I would personally suggest adding flaky sea salt instead of whipped cream to better balance the sweetness. Overall, a decent choice for Sicilian food in Catania, but with room for improvement.

10/04/2026: The atmosphere is that of an intimate, small, and comfortable tavern. The perfect spot for a quaint alleyway. The service is quick and attentive, thanks to its authenticity. The host and host explain the dishes, which are excellent in their simplicity. Compliments to the chef, who is skilled at preparing and displaying the dishes simply. It was a great evening. Everyone was happy (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 child). The experience was excellent, and the price was very fair.

06/04/2026: Despite being a regular stop in Genoa, on this last visit I didn't find the same quality of the dishes that distinguishes the usual standards. Has the management changed? While it remains a good experience, I hope for a return...to the past in the future.

05/04/2026: Easter lunch for three, exorbitantly overpriced for flavorless dishes full of parsley. The place was dimly lit, and I saw customers washing their dog's dirty bowl in the bathroom sink. We went for their renowned cacciucco, but there wasn't a trace of it on the menu. We won't be returning.

09/03/2026: Well, let me start by saying that the food is fabulous, the waiters are wonderful, everything is truly perfect... but in 2026, there has to be a POS, and it's not a choice, it's illegal. I don't even understand how they follow this policy, which, in fact, is not a choice, it's illegal. Then, you end up paying large sums in cash that no one has anymore... 3 stars just for this madness, otherwise, really 5 out of 5.

01/04/2026: I'm in Trieste every two weeks, this is my favorite place! The owner takes your order and suggests the fresh catch of the day. Superior quality ingredients. Tonight, the supersonic spider crab and grilled squid, small and tender, were wonderfully flavorful. I can't wait to go back. There's also a decent selection of local wines. Professional service, smiling and courteous staff. I can't wait to go back.

Their handmade chocolates and beautifully designed chocolate desserts are not only stunning to look at, but incredibly delicious. a rare and perfect combination of beauty and taste. The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They are always happy to help and make every visit feel special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves high quality chocolate and great service!

15/03/2026: We had lunch at Oasi, intrigued by the positive reviews, but we really can't explain why. Let's start by saying that I'm not in the habit of writing negative reviews, but it's only right to offer a few tips for those who spend little time in Carloforte. We had a mix of appetizers, including a hard octopus salad, a vegetable and tuna caponata (I think it was tuna because the flavor was unrecognizable), which was obviously reheated, a tuna mousse, and some frozen tuna with Tropea onions. They looked like they'd just been taken out of the fridge, inedible! A tartare that looked fresh but had no connection with its seasonings. The man at the restaurant was kind, no complaints, but the quality was terrible!

09/03/2026: I've been a customer for years, but now I can't recommend it for two reasons: 1) The food (burgers) has gotten worse; I now find the meat bad, and the sandwiches are made with ingredients that, in my opinion, aren't of the highest quality. 2) The smell. They need to replace the hood; I can't imagine having to take my clothes out and put them in the laundry after every night. I'm really sorry to write this review because the owners are nice, and I've been a customer for years.

18/02/2026: They have an excellent, high-quality, and very inclusive menu. The other night I tried their vegan cake (chocolate and plant-based cream?) and it was AMAZING (please keep making it!). Welcoming atmosphere and a great evening, highly recommended.

17/03/2026: First time at this place. Welcoming and clean. Friendly, helpful, and fast. Really good food with quality ingredients, excellent sandwiches and beers. Vegan and celiac friendly too. The only small flaw is the noise level; there was a rugby match on and the place was packed, which is normal in this case. However, we were able to chat, and in a normal situation, that's more than acceptable. Perhaps a little thought for the future; sound-absorbing panels would definitely improve, but it's just a small detail.
