If you’re a specialty coffee lover, don’t miss this place when visiting Bergamo. Whether you enjoy espresso, V60, filter coffee, or you’re looking for brewing equipment and coffee beans, this shop has it all. The team is knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, and it’s easy to see why they’ve won barista championships. I picked up some coffee beans to take home and would definitely visit again.

A unique sensory experience: Bergamo's coffee paradise
If you think coffee is just a quick espresso to be chugged at the counter in seconds, Bugan Caffè Lab will change your mind from the first sip. It's more than just a coffee shop, but a true temple of coffee culture, where you can experience passion, expertise, and unrivaled attention to the finest ingredients.
The establishment combines the welcoming atmosphere of a neighborhood coffee shop with the cutting-edge technology of an internationally renowned artisanal micro-roastery. Their selection of specialty coffees (superior-quality, traceable, and certified coffees) is simply incredible: from the floral notes of Ethiopian single-origins to the most exclusive competition lots from Colombia and Panama, each cup tells a story. And there are many others with pleasantly citrusy and fruity notes, or sweet, chocolaty, and structured ones.
The real added value is the team: we're talking about professionals who have won numerous national and international awards, guided by the vision of Maurizio and Sonia Valli. Yet, despite the extremely high level of technical expertise, the welcome is completely devoid of snobbery. The baristas are happy to take a minute to explain the differences between espresso and filter brewing, guiding you to discover aromatic nuances you'd never imagined finding in a coffee bean.
Whether you're an expert in the field or simply curious and ready to be amazed, Bugan is a must-see in Bergamo. A splendid establishment that elevates Italian craftsmanship to the next level. Highly recommended!

I was at this coffee shop 3 times because they have a very good coffee compared with others in Bergamo. But despite the coffee and pastry they have, the stuff is very unfriendly. For example, I asked for a tea spoon to stir in the coffee, but as an answer the lady that served the coffee said "No spoon for me" and I was like whaaat?? In other day I wanted to go to the toilet and the button to turn on the light was inside (and by the way, it doesn't do anything) and I pressed the one that was nearby the door and then a man from the stuff started to shut at me while I was inside that I shouldn't touch that.

The coffee is very good. The place is tiny, there are hardly enough seats. It's very hot inside. A cappuccino costs €4, a bit pricey for how good it tasted. Otherwise, it's very good.

While visiting Bergamo with my friend, I had what was easily the best coffee of my life. It was an absolutely stunning experience. The coffee itself was incredibly unique, bursting with distinct fruity and floral notes that made every sip unforgettable. Finding a place that elevates specialty coffee to this level of craftsmanship is rare. An absolute gem in Bergamo—we will definitely be back! ❤️

Best coffee spot in Bergamo. They also roast the beans in here and the coffee tastes absolutely amazing. The pastry is also great, buttery and you can taste the quality ingredients.
