12/05/2025: Abbiamo ordinato una torta di compleanno ed è stata un'esperienza sublime. Intanto un grazie alla ragazza che ci ha illustrato le torte perché è stata molto competente e gentile e ha saputo accontentare anche me che ho problemi di allergia alla frutta secca. La torta che hanno mangiato gli ospiti era squisita, delicata, perfetta. ...e la mia monoporzione salvia è limone buonissima. Peccato che non posso assaggiarle tutte ..spero in altre monoporzioni prive di frutta secca.

13/05/2025: Amazing food and stupendous service! I have never been taken care of so well as at our dinner tonight. The food was absolutely delicious - the pasta stuffed with beef with cheese outside was outstanding. Each dish was special, the vegetables were some of the best I’ve ever had. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We loved everything about this place and we will be sure to tell our friends to eat here - mangia, mangia!

14/06/2025: We visited this lovely restaurant as a group of 7, from the UK in June 2025 and The garden setting with the vine covered pergola was really well crafted. Everyone from our group thoroughly enjoyed their main courses and deserts. The lovely attentive lady at the front of house was faultless , no request was ever a problem. I don’t write many reviews but after the quality of the food, compliments to the kitchen staff and of the service we received I felt this independent restaurant truly deserved my time and my review. You will not be disappointed.

13/05/2025: Quality and professionalism reign supreme in this fabulous, well-kept, clean and quiet place. In the old streets of Cuneo (vid dronero 8c, a side street of the main ancient street of Cuneo, namely via Roma) you will find this little corner of quality. Coffered ceilings and barrel vaults in ancient bricks, a little design that does not overwhelm the ancient, an excellent union between the two worlds. Open kitchen in the passage between one area and another (2 rooms), from which not only the aroma but also the passion of those who cook comes out. The bathroom is well-kept and clean. 01/06/2025: Il ristorante é sempre carino, ci torniamo volentieri, per il posto e gli ottimi piatti ma....con il caldo di questi giorni i condizionatori devono funzionare o meglio...bisogna imparare ad usarli.

06/04/2025: An evening of romance and good food. Last night my husband gave me a surprise: very perfect!!! The San Pietro restaurant in the pedestrian area of ​​Limone has always been a must for those who want to dine (or have lunch) in a restaurant with an elegant and old-fashioned setting. The tables, rigorously round, are arranged in such a way as to guarantee the privacy of the guests. In the center you can admire a large wooden table on which stands, among other things, an exceptional display of cheeses. We were sitting next to the fireplace. Truly superb menu. I have celiac disease and a lot of attention was paid to me: fassona meat marinated with herbs, crumbled egg yolk and sweet and sour onion. The meat is very tender, tasty and not at all salty. My husband enjoyed a very soft lamb paté (at room temperature and not frozen as often happens) with brioche bread and caramelized onions. Applause-worthy first courses: for me risotto with sausage, Barolo and goat's blue cheese. Perfect cooking and delicate flavor despite the tasty ingredients. For my husband, an extraordinary tagliatelle filled with wild boar stew: a unique flavour, unparalleled softness and, to conclude, the owner of the restaurant delighted us - in every sense - with a soft zabaglione expertly prepared in front of us! Truly a huge round of applause to the chef and his team for giving us a wonderful evening! See you soon

08/06/2025: Hotel ubicato in un luogo bellissimo. Camere belle e pulite. Colazione abbondante con prodotti freschi fatti in casa. Il ristorante propone una cucina curata e ben fatta. Personale gentile e disponibile.

18/06/2025: Nous avons merveilleusement bien mangé au restaurant La Botte à Stresa. Tout était parfait du début à la fin. L’accueil a été chaleureux et sincère, l’ambiance à la fois élégante et détendue, et chaque plat était une véritable découverte de saveurs. La patronne est attentionnée et d’une gentillesse rare. On sent qu’elle met tout son cœur dans son établissement. Le service est fluide, et on se sent tout de suite comme à la maison. Bref, nous avons passé une superbe soirée, dans une ambiance conviviale et raffinée. Une très belle adresse à ne pas manquer si vous êtes de passage à Stresa. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

08/06/2025: Wir haben La Botte aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen besucht. Schön fanden wir die Glaswand zur Küche, durch die man den Köchen beim Zubereiten der Speisen zusehen kann. Leider konnten die Speisen mit dem ersten positiven Eindruck nicht ganz mithalten. Die Karte war sehr klein und bot kaum Auswahl. Viele Gerichte waren eher ausgefallen, sodass für uns letztlich nur das Filet in Frage kam. Für Kinder gab es kein eigenes Angebot – auf Nachfrage wurde lediglich Pasta mit Tomatensoße angeboten, was doch sehr enttäuschend war. Auch die Bitte, das Filet in einer kindgerechten Portion zu servieren, wurde abgelehnt. Als das Gericht kam, war klar warum: Die Portion bestand aus nur vier kleinen Scheiben Fleisch – für den aufgerufenen Preis einfach zu wenig. Meine Vorspeise, eine Pasta, war in Ordnung, die Portion gut, geschmacklich jedoch eher durchschnittlich. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht, dennoch stimmte für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Die Portionen sind sehr klein, und besonders Familien mit Kindern finden hier leider kein passendes Angebot. Fazit: Ein Lokal mit schöner Idee und freundlichem Service, aber für uns leider kein Ort, den wir erneut besuchen würden.

21/05/2025: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Relais Villa Pomela, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect escape from the city. The villa itself is charming and elegant, with well-preserved historical architecture and tasteful decor. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, with a lovely view of the garden. I also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast – fresh, delicious, and served in a beautiful setting. This hotel is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and refined stay in the Italian countryside. I will definitely return!

21/06/2025: An unforgettable anniversary (unfortunately)!!! As Piedmontese, despite never having heard of this restaurant, we chose it to celebrate our anniversary, intrigued by the location and the menu offered, at the not inconsiderable cost of €70 per person. When booking, I kindly requested a table a little more refined for the occasion and reported my pregnancy, with related dietary restrictions (no meat, fish or raw eggs). I was assured that an ad hoc menu and a “special” table would be prepared. Upon our arrival, we discovered that the special table had... evaporated. No special preparation, we were asked to choose from the few remaining tables, including those exposed to a half-sun on the terrace with umbrellas. We opted for the veranda, on a scorching day, where – despite the presence of air conditioning – it was never turned on. The heat was a recurring theme among the other guests, but the response we received was that “even the staff suffered with us”. A nice gesture of solidarity, of course, but not exactly what one expects during a lunch costing over €140. The courses arrived with very long waits between one and the other - about 40/45 minutes - even though the menu was already defined. Understandable, perhaps, in case of unforeseen events. Less understandable if it is a tasting menu managed by the chef himself and already communicated in advance. Even though I had reiterated my dietary needs related to pregnancy both during the booking phase and upon arrival, I found myself forced to send back four out of five dishes because they contained precisely those ingredients that I had asked to avoid. The most curious substitution was that of the raw meat tartare with... boiled fennel covered in béarnaise sauce (with raw egg included which, at that point, I made my husband eat so as not to send back yet another dish). A substitution that was not only questionable in terms of nutrition and taste, but also not exactly comparable in terms of cost - too bad the price remained the same. Even the dessert was no exception, served with a Marsala sauce. Perhaps in the belief that alcohol, when sweet, is less valuable? In terms of taste, the intent to offer creative and unconventional cuisine is evident, but the balance between innovation and harmony in flavors seemed to be lacking at times. Forced combinations, inadequate consistencies, and a certain tendency to want to amaze at all costs, even at the expense of the pleasantness of the dish. Visually, however, everything seemed excellent, as in the photos that we had also seen from previous reviews and that convinced us to try this place. The final bill also included a second glass of wine that we had never ordered, promptly removed upon our report. A small mistake, which however adds to an overall experience that was poorly cared for and, frankly, disappointing. A lunch that cost us time, money and memorable sweat, but which left us with the certainty that – at least for us – it will be a unique experience. And unrepeatable
