12/07/2026: Excellent family run restaurant above Domodossola, big terrasse which is the best spot to spend some hours enjoying the seafood oriented surprise menu or a la carte dishes. Excellent wines, affordable prices and wonderful staff. Worth even a longer trip to get there.

06/06/2026: Simply the best restaurant in Stresa by a country mile. We ate there twice and wasted one meal we could have had there trying somewhere else-what fools were we! Fabulous.
05/06/2026: It was the best gastronomic experience of the four days we spent in Stresa. The dishes were made with excellent ingredients and beautifully presented, and the almond rice was divine and mouth-watering. The restaurant is very welcoming, intimate, and softly lit, with a beautiful open kitchen. The service was attentive and professional, and the entire staff was impeccable and very friendly, something we didn't find in other places, even the most renowned ones. The atmosphere was lovely. Not to be missed.

05/05/2026: The welcome was warm, and the food was delicious. The back room wasn't great, especially since it was noisy; a large table was talking very loudly, so our romantic meal was ruined. A shame!

09/07/2026: Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Front desk were not informative or helpful when we checked in. Breakfast buffet lacked hot food selection. Air conditioning was insufficient in 85-90f. Room key was an actual key with a bell attached that prevents multiple guests from using the room separately and difficult to keep in your pocket.

Concierge service: perfect
Reception: The reception was disappointing: unfriendly staff, a complete lack of attention to the customer, both on arrival and departure.
Many seminars are organized, and individual guests are no longer considered.

07/07/2026: For those who prefer a quieter atmosphere but still want to be close to Lake Maggiore, this spot at the end of the lakeside promenade is perfect. Add to that the excellent food and friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended.

Enviable location on the lake, very pleasant service and welcome.
Very good pizza, right down to the last bite.
Excellent fish appetizer.

11/05/2026: Excellent place to stay in the city center. Rooms near the station. Staff make you feel at home. The food is good, both at breakfast (plenty, but not a buffet; they pass trays of all sorts of goodies) and at dinner.
01/05/2026: Charming hotel in a pedestrian zone. Very clean and welcoming. Comfortable bedding. Modern and spotless shower room.
Wonderful, generous breakfast with a wide variety of delicious products: croissants, fruit, homemade yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, smoked ham, cheese, panna cotta, crème caramel, bread, jam, tart, and cereal. Warm welcome and impeccable service.

12/07/2026: We ate for two. The food and service were excellent, and the staff were super friendly. Just be careful, the prices don't match those found on Google or other sites, which aren't updated but are 4-5 years old or more. The prices are roughly in line with other restaurants. While we didn't agree with those prices, we ate well. The location is excellent, allowing you to continue your stroll through the center or head to the lakeside.
12/07/2026: Of all the experiences we had in Stresa, Ristorante Caffè Torino was not one to remember.
The meal service was so rushed that it must have been pre-prepared plates that had simply been microwaved.
The aperitif arrived after we had already received our main courses. The wine was served as we were finishing our meal. The service was disorganized, and the prices were slightly higher than other cafes (for example, a bottle of water was €1 more).

17/04/2026: Fantastic stay at Auberge La Ripa! A warm welcome, even though it was late. The room had a view of the lake and the Borromean Islands, which wasn't originally planned. A truly lovely room, and a generous and complete breakfast.

12/04/2026: We stayed with our dog over the Easter weekend at this beautiful hotel, just steps from the center of Baveno. It retains all its early 1900s charm with period furniture.
The tastefully furnished rooms feature balconies overlooking the internal garden and a splendid view of the Borromean Islands. The hotel has a lovely garden with a terrace equipped with tables and umbrellas overlooking the private beach below. What more can I say? It's beautiful. Mrs. Paola is a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful, and upon our arrival she unexpectedly upgraded our room to a larger one with a lake view. I hope to return soon.

26/04/2026: Good value for money in this area; it's hard to find anything cheaper in this location. The property is a bit dated, but the room was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is plentiful.
The only downsides are the almost non-existent soundproofing (you can easily hear the neighbors) and the rather firm bed, which might not suit everyone.
09/03/2026: We stayed for one night. That's fine. The hotel is located right in the middle of the small town, very close to the lake. That's perfect. The hotel is a bit dated, but the service is extremely friendly. Breakfast consists of cake. If you ask nicely, they'll also give you bread. The coffee is excellent. There's no elevator, so it's difficult for older people.

01/05/2026: I'm a regular at the Last Hall restaurant in Baveno. The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Dino and offers a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore. The interior is elegant and original, while the outdoor terrace overlooks the lake, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
The menu is excellent, with high-quality dishes. The wait staff is also friendly, attentive, and always available. I also had the pleasure of meeting chef Andrea, who delighted us with truly incredible dishes.
I will definitely return.

Great credit to the highly trained and efficient staff, especially the maitre d' who served us.

18/07/2026: I agree with the reviews. A tourist trap... I paid 91 euros for four tasteless dishes, four drinks, and two coffees. I gave in to hunger and stopped at this restaurant, but I think there are better ones. I'm disgusted... and it ruined the enjoyment of the rest of my visit.
