22/09/2025: I celebrated my graduation here on Saturday evening, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. The restaurant is located in the heart of Turin, in an elegant and welcoming setting, perfect for a special occasion. The traditional Piedmontese cuisine is simply extraordinary: carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and authentic flavors that reflect the local tradition. The service was impeccable, attentive and friendly, always with a smile. Each course arrived on time and beautifully presented. The warm and refined atmosphere made the evening even more unforgettable. I recommend La Badessa to anyone who wants to experience authentic Piedmontese cuisine in the heart of Turin. A place truly deserving of 5 stars ❤️

20/09/2025: More than a dinner... it's a journey of expertly reinterpreted dishes that speak of the local area. We didn't try the menu but opted for the à la carte menu, and I must say we were very satisfied. Our least favorite was the dessert, but above all, the Sambucana sheep, the Pesio sturgeon, the spaghetti with Castelmagno cheese, the macaroni, and the pork with mushrooms were truly top-notch. The price, as we know, is high for a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it's definitely worth it. The service was prompt, never over the top, truly perfect. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated. We'll be back to try the menu.

05/08/2025: We caught the ferry over and walked here, it's up a lot of steps but through the beautiful old part of town with all the picturesque laneways. Clean comfortable good breakfast. Great restaurant recommendation.

12/07/2025: We stayed with Anna (the owner), who was courteous and efficient. The rooms are beautiful, bright, and clean. The location is excellent, quiet, and just steps from the center of the nightlife.

07/10/2025: The dishes were prepared with care and taste. Although the portions aren't very generous, the prices are quite high. The place is small and fills up quickly, and the noise level can get very loud. Friendly service. Good vegetarian options.

23/08/2025: A perfect dinner. Everything was truly delicious and high-quality, from appetizer to dessert. The hazelnut-crusted sirloin steak deserves special mention: it was exquisite and melted in the mouth. The selection of local cheeses was also very tasty. The service was relaxed and pleasant. The dining room has a stunning view, and if you go at sunset, it's even more worth it.

26/08/2025: What a great restaurant, run by the loveliest family. Outside you enjoy a typical Piedmont view, and inside you sit in a charming old ruin. The family is truly exceptional – wonderful cooking, warm hospitality and great advice on both wine and food. We stayed in the Castello next to the restaurant and were lucky enough to eat here three times. We look back on it with great joy. Grazie!

21/06/2025: È stata una cena squisita sulla terrazza con vista. Siamo partiti da un antipasto leggero di pesce (fettine di spada e tonno) e tortino di melanzane, per passare ai primi dal gusto delicato (gnocchetti e ravioli), a seguire i secondi di carne (brasato e agnello) ma anche il salmone in crosta di sesamo. Abbiamo concluso il tutto con dei desserts ottimi. Il tutto accompagnato da un buonissimo barbera e dalla cortesia e simpatia del proprietario. L'impiattamento molto elegante ci ha permesso di assaporare il cibo dedicandogli il giusto tempo.

24/06/2025: We celebrated our wedding in this wonderful place on Lake Orta, and we can only say beautiful words about that perfect day. Enchanting and suggestive place, impeccable service, superlative food. There was not a detail that was not taken care of to perfection. We thank Il Giardinetto infinitely for making our wedding unique, and we recommend it wholeheartedly. I would add that we have attended it on other occasions, both for our son's baptism, and for dinner and aperitif and we can only confirm the same satisfaction every time. 20/10/2025: A very cool hotel, built in old traditions. The interior and exterior are incredibly beautiful, with original paintings on the walls, old furniture, swirls, and tapestries. Awesome spa with a hot tub and the opportunity to swim outside. Super location. If anyone's interested, there's a helipad across from the hotel. The hotel has its own private park.

15/10/2025: Delicious pizza with many, many choices and can even add your own ingredients. Our waitress seemed to speak excellent English, but miffed on our wine order making it all a bit difficult. But we got the bottle we ordered - delicious! - and had a great time with the wonderful food.

12/10/2025: My husband and I dined at this restaurant yesterday, October 11, 2025. Let me start by saying that we don't usually leave negative reviews, as we deeply respect the work of those who work in the restaurant industry. However, we feel it's our duty to inform the owner that last night's dinner was significantly below expectations and not in line with previous reviews. The welcome entrée was bland; given that it was a complimentary dish, it could easily be overlooked. The fondue, considered alone, might have been decent, but the pairing with cardoon seemed forced and lacking in harmony. The addition of truffle, rather than enhancing the dish, added nothing. The tajarin were average for a typical tourist restaurant, with no particular highlights. Unfortunately, we didn't even manage to finish the main course. Added to this is the rather clumsy handling of the truffle: slices about 1 mm thick, cut with a slicer and scattered carelessly, so much so that shavings ended up on the table. We're sincerely sorry to have to write these words, but we left the restaurant with the feeling that someone else was in the kitchen instead of the chef, perhaps in his absence. We hope this feedback can help bring attention to the quality standards, in line with the prestige the restaurant has built over time.
