18/03/2026: I stayed one night at the Hotel Michelangelo for work and had a great time. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, ready to accommodate every need. Breakfast deserves a special mention: a wide selection and excellent quality products. Recommended!

17/01/2026: We stayed at the Hotel Michelangelo for a weekend. It was a truly pleasant experience, and we'll definitely be back. The hotel is new, clean, and welcoming, with comfortable rooms and attention to even the smallest details, making it fully worthy of a four-star hotel. A varied breakfast buffet with high-quality products, including refined pastries by Iginio Massari, is also available. The location is convenient, well-connected to the train station and not far from the city center; nearby are various shops and green spaces. The staff, especially the owners, add a touch of warmth and familiarity to the whole experience with their courtesy and hospitality. Highly recommended.

22/03/2026: We had dinner at Cantine Risso and were pleasantly surprised. The ingredients are high-quality. We recommend the pork shank! The desserts are also very good. The staff is friendly and very kind. The place isn't big but it's very welcoming and original. Recommended!!

22/03/2026: For many years, whenever I pass through Turin with my dad, I've had lunch here so he can enjoy the pork shank he loves. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and in the summer, it's lovely to eat in the courtyard.

19/11/2025: The hotel has a great location by the lake, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They're very fond of children and dogs. Our dog was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The small green area by the gravel parking lot is lovely for watching the sunset in the evening. However: the food is way too expensive. The portions are so tiny. €15 for spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata cheese, and then you get such an incredibly small portion. My partner's meal wasn't much bigger, but it was even more expensive. There are stairs everywhere, which makes it very difficult with a stroller, especially if you want to go to breakfast. Not every baby can sit in the IKEA car seat they offer for that long. Of course, you could leave the stroller in the room, but that's really inconvenient for very young children. Breakfast is the same every single day. And I mean exactly the same. Two or three types of cold cuts, two or three types of cheese, two types of rolls and toast... and the coffee wasn't exactly the best. A shame for Italy... Unfortunately, the dishes were often dirty and the scrambled eggs were often cold. The Wi-Fi in the room was very poor. Streaming was impossible. Which isn't exactly normal in 2022. Not everyone watches ZDF and ARD. The rooms were also very noisy. We prayed every night that our baby wouldn't cry for the sake of the other guests. Luckily, it didn't. Cleanliness was good, so we can't complain about that. The fold-out bed in the room was loose. We only noticed because something fell off and we had to open it. I wouldn't want to sleep on it; it would definitely tip over. Generally, quite a few things were worn or had defects. Regarding the location: if you want to go into town, you have to walk about 200 meters along the road because there's no sidewalk. There is a small strip of grass, but it's no help with a stroller. For cyclists, however, the hotel is a great starting point for a ride around the lake or other routes. ... If you're traveling without a baby and a dog, you can find a few days of peace and quiet at this hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us.

14/02/2026: I chose the game tasting menu, which, while not entirely to my personal taste, was well executed and meticulously crafted. The atmosphere was elegant and pleasant. Special thanks to the tall waiter, who was very kind and professional, and who helped make the experience enjoyable.

23/02/2026: It's 5 star. The food, the ambience, the location. I can say that it wasn't potluck for the one Sunday lunch I had because I have been going there for the last 25 years and I've never had a bad experience. I've seen this restaurant expand and grow and move a generation. They will be celebrating with much pride their 40th anniversary this year. This restaurant is famed for fish dishes but also do offer meat occasionally. Their menu is constantly updated and they offer a superb wine list. Everything is quality. I will never stop going to this restaurant which happens to be my favorite on Lago Maggiore.

18/03/2026: Wide selection, courtesy, goodness! The Calabrian potatoes are not to be missed, excellent skewered cotto cotto. Vitello tonnato is large and delicious; raw meat salad is a joke, not so much. Great pizza, pasta, in short. The waiters take everything away and are a bit chaotic but kind! Wide selection of desserts (unique homemade tiramisu, not the cheesecake even if it's impressive, excellent coconut cake with hazelnut essence). Delicious bread and breadsticks, and wine by the glass (a glass of Barbera or Sauvignon), Amaro Sansimone, and Limoncello are free.

16/03/2026: Simply spectacular. The food, the service, and the price are all excellent. Everything on the menu is delicious, so I recommend any dish. Just be sure to save room for dessert; you'll find them at the entrance. Check them out before you go to your table.

28/12/2025: I don't recommend it, the food isn't up to par, the chairs are still covered in crumbs left by previous customers, and the waitresses are polite and helpful.

23/12/2025: I went for a company dinner and we had a wonderful meal. You can see the attention to detail in the dishes: veal with tuna sauce, perfectly cooked to perfection, lovingly prepared Russian salad, excellent homemade tajarin, and a tender roast. Attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately, the location near the station isn't the best, but I highly recommend it.

16/02/2026: I was there for Valentine's Day, the appetizers and risotto were very good, as was the tagliata, the julienne of squid was nothing special, but the problem is that when it came to the bill, on a total of 150 euros, 10 euros for the bitters were added for a final total of 160 euros, it seems a bit like starving, also considering the fact that we didn't have an aperitif beforehand or coffee which were included, for this reason I don't think I'll go back.

01/01/2026: We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday. When we booked in person during the day, we were shown the venue, but on the night of the party, we found it in terrible condition: dirty windows, bathroom doors that wouldn't close, uncleaned floors, etc. Furthermore, we weren't informed that another 18th birthday party was being held that same evening in the other half of the room. It's true that the restaurant is theirs and they're not obligated to disclose anything, but for the sake of fairness and politeness, it would have been appropriate to inform both guests of the shared dining room. Regarding food, we had chosen a €40 per person menu, which included appetizers, a first course, and a second course. However, when it came time to serve the food, the portions were completely inadequate: about four paccheri per person and a small slice of meat, truly ridiculous for the price paid. The DJ managed the evening completely independently: my daughter wasn't even given the chance to give a brief thank-you speech. Bruna's organization was far from satisfactory. I had contacted her several times by phone without receiving a response; after numerous reminders, I only received a confusing WhatsApp message. Having received no further response, I had to take care of all the decorations myself. On the day of the party, arriving about three hours early, I found the organizer busy arranging the decorations for the other 18th birthday party: behavior that was anything but professional. The owner proved completely unavailable: every request was denied without any attempt to accommodate the customer's needs, making us feel almost like a disturbance. A terrible experience from every perspective: the food was terrible, the music was entirely at the DJ's discretion, and, above all, the complete lack of respect in not informing us of the presence of two 18th birthday parties in the same room. As already mentioned, it's their venue and they can organize it as they wish, but out of respect, customers must be informed. Evidently, they didn't do it to avoid losing one of the two events and the resulting profit, but not everyone enjoys celebrating an 18th birthday next to another identical event. I was even threatened by Mrs. Bruna.... Because the owners can even sue me for turning on two light fountains outside near the motorcycle given to my daughter... After you read my review
