18/03/2026: I celebrated my birthday here a few months ago, encouraged by the positive reviews. There were eight of us (six adults and two girls who had gnocchi with tomato sauce) and we ordered a few appetizers to share, along with some fried foods and a first course each. The appetizers were nothing special; we found them generally a bit dull. The first courses were nothing special: a somewhat bland seafood mugnaia and a sagnette di ceci e vongole (chickpea and clam pasta) with a pinch too much salt. The bread basket was excellent, but the quantities were so small that we had to ask for refills, I think, at least four times. Perhaps we could have avoided this by bringing a few extra plates. The fried food was very good: fragrant and flavorful, a delight. Unfortunately, the price was disproportionate for what we ate. I'm sorry, but the truth is that in the area you can eat much better with the same quality and for less money, in equally nice places. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

16/02/2026: The slaughterhouse is a splendid gem. The waiters and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The dishes are varied, each one worth discovering. The highlights are obviously the meat dishes and steaks, although the flavors are further enhanced when accompanied by a cheese board and a nice red wine on tap. P.S. Regardless, the cheese board is always well-prepared, seasonally based, and very varied, so it's a must-try. We stop by often and are always pleasantly surprised, both by the high quality and the competitive price.

The service is efficient and fast, but since the restaurant is always crowded, you may have to wait a while for service. The food is good quality and reflects the Abruzzo tradition.

The cacio e ovo meatballs were delicious, but the truffle gnocchi were bland with a mismatched sauce; they really could have been better. I don't think I'll return. Maybe I'll give it a second try to see if I've been disappointed, given the other reviews.

08/12/2025: I've passed by it many times, but finally had the chance to stop here for lunch since I was close by this time and had little time to go elsewhere. What can I say? It was a pleasant discovery, and from the outside I thought there wouldn't be any room because it was practically full...which is already a good sign. I recommend it and will definitely return for dinner next time.
