A restaurant I frequent often, for their helpfulness, friendliness, and, last but not least, for the EXCELLENT FOOD. You can tell they carefully select quality products and use local produce! Every time I visit, I feel right at home, super pampered ❣️🥰 I highly recommend it.

Highly recommended, this welcoming place serves refined, tasty dishes. The pistachio pasta dish is out of this world, as are the carpaccio and tartare.

For food, quality, and presentation, this is by far the best restaurant in Penne. Scrumptious, pastas, perfectly cooked steaks and very reasonable prices for the quality of what is served! Highly recommended!!

A very positive experience! Even though we called at 1:45 PM, we still managed to have lunch. The welcoming and intimate atmosphere and the truly friendly and professional wait staff are a great asset. Appetizer: mixed cured meats and cheeses, and cheese and egg balls. Everything was truly delicious and made with quality ingredients. First courses: paccheri with pistachio pesto and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. These too were very flavorful and balanced. My only complaint about the cacio e pepe: perhaps the pasta was a little too salty, but that can happen. Dessert: tiramisu. Delicious and balanced, with a light amaretto flavor that adds an unexpected kick. Wine by the glass, water, coffee, and liqueurs. We spent €65 for two, and honestly, I thought it was very reasonable, given the quality of the ingredients and the service.

I'd give the tonnarelli cacio e pepe a personal eight. Both the wait staff were very friendly, attentive, and quick. The information on what to see in Penne was helpful. I highly recommend Osteria del Leone.

A truly enjoyable business lunch at this restaurant! The food was excellent and the service equally attentive. We ate in a private room at a square table, so we could all look at each other... which made for a very lively conversation! 😄 Even though you have to go down a few steps to get there (I think it's in the basement), the atmosphere is truly welcoming. In short: great place, everything perfect, we'll definitely be back... and with pleasure!

Such good food and the prices are very reasonable. Excellent wines available as well. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates good food.

Nice osteria in a beautiful cellar vault. Since we only had one night in Penne, we only ate there once—we would have certainly eaten there more often otherwise. Both starters, main courses, and dessert were really, really, really delicious. There was also a very good house wine and super friendly service. Absolutely fantastic value for money—I highly recommend this osteria. We wish we had a restaurant like this around the corner from home :)
