01/01/2026: Well, actually, I found the owner (I think it's him) to be very helpful with customers, even in solving problems. The girl at the cash register was kind and knowledgeable, but then I witnessed a little scene where a man came out of the kitchen and yelled at a boy (perhaps his son?) who was helping deliver orders, and he also rudely insulted some customers who were standing there... I understand it was December 31 and there was panic... but some people would do less harm by staying in the background.

16/01/2026: I'm giving it two stars only because of the courtesy of the wait staff. It's been a while since I've had such a bad meal. The appetizer was truly bland (the mussels were so small they were tender), and the grilled fish was so covered in garlic that it almost didn't even taste like fish. It needs a complete overhaul.

Even the vegetarian option for one of the guests was very satisfying. The staff was pleasant and efficient. They never disappointed!

01/01/2026: A very positive experience! Even though we called at 1:45 PM, we still managed to have lunch. The welcoming and intimate atmosphere and the truly friendly and professional wait staff are a great asset. Appetizer: mixed cured meats and cheeses, and cheese and egg balls. Everything was truly delicious and made with quality ingredients. First courses: paccheri with pistachio pesto and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. These too were very flavorful and balanced. My only complaint about the cacio e pepe: perhaps the pasta was a little too salty, but that can happen. Dessert: tiramisu. Delicious and balanced, with a light amaretto flavor that adds an unexpected kick. Wine by the glass, water, coffee, and liqueurs. We spent €65 for two, and honestly, I thought it was very reasonable, given the quality of the ingredients and the service.

29/12/2025: I'd give the tonnarelli cacio e pepe a personal eight. Both the wait staff were very friendly, attentive, and quick. The information on what to see in Penne was helpful. I highly recommend Osteria del Leone.

16/12/2025: I was very satisfied with everything, namely the location which seemed small from the outside but inside is spacious and modern with several tables, two waitresses albeit a little funny but quick and friendly and the raw and cooked appetizers were excellent... I will definitely come back to try the other courses as well as the mixed fried fish.

09/12/2025: We returned for the second year in a row for our anniversary, expecting the same experience we had last year. Unfortunately, it was nothing like it. What I found most unprofessional was that the owner personally contacted me to ask for honest feedback. As soon as I shared that we were dissatisfied, the conversation stopped entirely. Asking for a review and then disengaging when the feedback isn’t positive is not acceptable and made us feel disregarded as customers. Regarding the food, the paccheri with sgombri was not described on the menu as being served with sauce and was extremely salty to the point of being inedible. The cheesecake arrived still frozen inside. Very disappointing overall, especially given the occasion and our previous positive experience.

07/12/2025: Good food, very nice and welcoming place. It's a shame the staff couldn't even begin to explain the ingredients in the food. I'd read about some vegan savory pies, so once I arrived, I asked if they had anything dairy-free, as I'm intolerant. The response was "I don't know, I can't tell you," and none of the staff were able to answer.

23/10/2025: An extraordinary place! The people who serve you are lovely, it's like being with friends, and the conversation is super interesting. The place is beautiful, the music is very pleasant, and everything is super clean. They also have a very nice terrace. The food is incredible; everything they serve is top-quality and absolutely delicious. They have all kinds of drinks, all kinds of beers, and the coffee is the best in Bologna ☕!!! 29/11/2025: I usually go to this McDonald's on the weekends. I always find it clean, the staff efficient, and the service fast. My only regret is that the people are rude and often leave dirty, full trays on the tables, and the staff has to do double the work when a little forethought would have made the work easier for the workers. After all, we don't pay a cover charge, so at least taking our garbage away would be nice. A positive experience, a special thanks to SILVIA I., she always welcomes me with a smile and kindness, you can tell she really loves her job. Rating 10 💗

08/12/2025: After reading some excellent reviews, we came for lunch on a Saturday. The owner doesn't explain the menu because he's the one jokingly suggesting the dishes. Unfortunately, he doesn't explain them and keeps joking about everything (too much). The mixed appetizers were a disappointment, while the rice was good...but I've had much better Persian/Syrian/Lebanese/Afghan cuisine around.

13/11/2025: Good food, but Kazem replied with a joke to every question we made. After two or tree unanswered questions, we gave up. One or two jokes is fine, but he refused to give us a stright answer. The only time he got serious was at the moment of paying. What did we eat? No idea. Was it tasty? Yes, but we really wanted to taste Iranian food, not a stand up comedy show. There's no point in trying to know the name of the food or even choose. He will just give you what he wants. Again, the food was good, but the experience was frustrating. I'm sorry Kazem, you surely are a good guy, but you are quite bad as a host.

15/09/2025: A truly relaxing weekend at this wonderful farmhouse, immersed in the nature and mountains of Abruzzo, with meticulous attention to detail, from the rooms to the restaurant and the outdoor garden. The owners truly made us feel at home and were incredibly kind. The breakfast was excellent, with homemade cakes and preserves. We also had dinner and were truly delighted with the excellent gourmet dishes prepared with quality local ingredients. Highly recommended! Claudio and Rosa

22/12/2025: A quick pizza, and off you go!! No!!! It'll never be just one pizza; their variety, goodness, crispiness, and deliciousness will keep you coming back. Even if you're just passing through, it's a must-try; you spend little, and you'll be more than satisfied.

15/12/2025: Takeaway pizzeria with a few tables for dine-in. Located on the main road on the border between Pescara and Montesilvano. Spectacular round pan pizzas, just the way I like them: thin and crispy, with a variety of toppings to suit all tastes. Delicious fried croquettes, and especially supplì and arancini in a variety of flavors that are every bit as good as Sicilian ones. I discovered it, and now it's become my favorite pizzeria. Reservations are recommended during peak hours.

07/11/2025: A monument built on the ruins of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum for the Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara), a key landing place and intermediate port between the Exarchate capital of Ravenna and Constantinople. They evidently built the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (named after Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano di Cepagatti family in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point for a strategic road junction at the crossroads of the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes leading up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano area. From the 11th and 12th centuries, it became the seat of the lords of the Norman, Swabian, and Angevin fiefdom of Cepagatti, before passing to the Valignano family in the 15th century and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s, and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza San Rocco, bringing to light important Roman-era artefacts preserved in the City Council Chamber. The restoration of the Castle has returned to the public the so-called "Sala delle Cisterne," a rare and authentic Roman-era cistern measuring 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the 340-square-meter "Sala del Grano," located on the top floor of the monument, with a panoramic view of the Pescara Valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a "place in history," and the over 2,000 square meters spread over four levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. What a shame... It is closed and abandoned. We hope the municipality of Cepagatti buys it back.
