12/03/2026: I recently dined at this restaurant and had a very positive experience. Here's what struck me: I ordered a grilled chicken breast and I must say it was cooked to perfection: well-done, juicy, and very flavorful. The dish was accompanied by generous and flavorful vegetables, which made the meal complete and satisfying. The restaurant is very charming and well-decorated, with a style that immediately puts you at ease. It's the ideal setting for both a quiet dinner and a convivial evening. The staff was quick and courteous, making sure we had everything we needed without making us wait. Finally, the price was absolutely fair for the quality of the food and the service received. In short: An excellent discovery for those looking for simple, yet carefully prepared dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

04/03/2026: The staff were very kind and pleasant. However, the meal I ate (lamb) made me sick, and I probably developed food poisoning 24 hours later. I regularly eat lamb, and I think there was a problem with its storage or preparation. This ruined part of my trip right after visiting this restaurant.

08/03/2026: A pleasant surprise in Pescara: a well-maintained seafood restaurant, unexpectedly located inside a beach resort. The mixed antipasti were excellent, offering a nice variety of classic dishes. The first courses were carefully prepared, and the flavors were well-balanced. The lemon tartlet was good, but I would have preferred a stronger lemon flavor. The prices are fair for the service and quality. We'll definitely be back to try the dry-aged fish and raw seafood.

14/03/2026: Historic place, very kind and helpful waiters, small arrosticini, I expected they would make liver ones....sufficient rating but not more.

18/02/2026: A venue that installed a loudspeaker outside its building (the inside is tiny) and kept it at maximum volume all day. When called by the Carabinieri, local police, and the police, they decided to just do it as if nothing had happened. It's in an area with cancer patients and very elderly people. What can I say? Rude? You tell me.

26/12/2025: A fantastic selection of appetizers, including cac&ov meatballs, pumpkin, peppers and eggs, potatoes, and more, all delicious and worth trying. We had two first courses, delicious mushroom ravioli, and then arrosticini, large and well-cooked. Highly recommended.

29/03/2026: Super convenient parking, a fantastic children's playground, wonderful animals, and a charming garden. Everything is meticulously maintained and well-kept, and given the size of the space, I can't even begin to imagine the hard work involved. Hard work that bears beautiful fruit—it's a corner of paradise, truly congratulations. Authentic food, balanced in its flavors, super generous portions, quick service despite the restaurant being full, and polite, cheerful, prompt, and lively waiters and waitresses. Congratulations to everyone. Highly recommended.

07/11/2025: A monument built on the ruins of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum for the Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara), a key landing place and intermediate port between the Exarchate capital of Ravenna and Constantinople. They evidently built the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (named after Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano di Cepagatti family in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point for a strategic road junction at the crossroads of the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes leading up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano area. From the 11th and 12th centuries, it became the seat of the lords of the Norman, Swabian, and Angevin fiefdom of Cepagatti, before passing to the Valignano family in the 15th century and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s, and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza San Rocco, bringing to light important Roman-era artefacts preserved in the City Council Chamber. The restoration of the Castle has returned to the public the so-called "Sala delle Cisterne," a rare and authentic Roman-era cistern measuring 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the 340-square-meter "Sala del Grano," located on the top floor of the monument, with a panoramic view of the Pescara Valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a "place in history," and the over 2,000 square meters spread over four levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. What a shame... It is closed and abandoned. We hope the municipality of Cepagatti buys it back.
