10/03/2025: We usually stop for dinner but one evening after booking we had an unexpected event and we advised to free up the table and asked if takeaway was possible. We were pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and speed, as well as the usual quality and flavors of the meals eaten at home just as if we had been sitting there at the table! Everything delicious and flavors unchanged, including dessert. Look at the photos. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat really good fish in L'Aquila (but not only), you absolutely must try the raw fish and certainly the carosello, comoleto and exquisite. The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and professional, always with a smile, you feel at ease. Compliments!

Too bad about the service, I understand that on Saturdays there can be a lot of people at lunch, but 40 minutes for the first courses seems excessive to me, especially if this wait also affected a 2-year-old child. Otherwise the stars would have been 4. Anyway, overall good.

20/03/2025: We chose this restaurant, appreciating it for its genuine cuisine since the times when the owner ran it in Torano Nuovo, now in Sant'Omero. We like it for its simple cuisine, inspired by the Abruzzo tradition, which offers local delicacies without frills, with particular attention to the well-being of the diner (we are what we eat). The seasonings and salt are dosed with balance. We find it ideal for a lunch break during work, thanks to freshly prepared dishes and a friendly environment, perfect for breaking up the daily routine. The combination of traditional dishes and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a point of reference to try, with modest prices that allow even daily attendance. We highly recommend this restaurant and applause goes to the "master" who keeps us healthy, maintaining a varied and delicious cuisine. Thanks so much! Oh, I forgot! They also make spectacular gripper!

17/03/2025: Following Di Stefano's review, which is usually a guarantee, I stopped for lunch with my husband. I wanted to order grilled lamb but it wasn't available, nor was there chicken with potatoes. They offered me grilled turkey breast but it was obviously cooked in a pan and to show that it was grilled they put small pieces of charcoal on top; it's a shame that they also ended up on top of the cabbage on the same plate. My husband chose the chitarra del postiglione, a generous dish and expertly served, it's a shame that the pasta didn't go well with the sauce. We ordered sparkling water but the bottle, used several times because it was probably filled by a distributor, I don't think had been washed on the outside since the days of the postilions. The bill included €15 for turkey breast and cabbage, €14 for chitarra with ricotta and sausage ragù, a sparkling water, two coffees and €5 for two covers. Total €38 discounted to €35. For €2.50 per person for a cover charge, I expect at least fabric tablecloths and a teaspoon for the coffee instead of the disposable stirrer... and maybe a bottle properly sanitized after each use. The place is almost empty so serve yourself without any rush. Given the many positive reviews, perhaps we simply didn't choose the right day... too bad.

Ottimo il caffè, una vera chicca è l'indicazione della provenienza della produzione e raccolta del caffè. Ottima varietà di alcolici di alta qualità. Bella esposizione dei dolci, specialmente napoletani.

01/01/2025: Lovely place in the middle of the countryside! Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. I had the opportunity to stay overnight and taste only breakfast, but I promise to try the restaurant too. The only flaw is the slightly dated mattresses, otherwise highly recommended.

28/03/2025: For the service I marked 4 stars but I had to give two...four stars for the promptness, kindness and excellent service provided by the lady who I assume is the owner...two stars because I asked a waiter for bread three times...the bread arrived only after having asked the lady for it. The same waiter was asked if there was the possibility of having some fruit. The answer was: "I'll go and see". I'm still waiting.....!

20/02/2025: Pizzeria situata sulla SS17 prima del bivio per Poggio Picenze. L'arredamento non fa impazzire. Il personale molto cortese e veloce. Pizza buonissima, cotta benissimo e con ingredienti di qualità. Tavolini un pò stretti. Birra all'altezza. Da consigliare.

17/11/2024: Recommended to us by the host of our B&B in Barisciano. Never has a suggestion been more appropriate. Fast service, very friendly and professional staff. We tasted perhaps the best pizza to date: never eaten a better leavened and digestible dough than that of their pizzas. Well seasoned, tasty and delicious. Prices more than fair. Excellent desserts (berry cheesecake and tiramisu). The addition of almonds to the tiramisu cream is particular. Should I return (as we hope) to the area it will definitely be a stop to repeat.
