16/12/2025: I wish I could review the food but we haven’t had the chance to experience that. As one other review mentioned, we came into the empty restaurant with the hostess saying: we are full. As you can see on the photo, no one was at the restaurant. While she was saying they are full, a local worker walked right beside us and was seated by the same woman who said they are full. Owner reacting to the other review mentioning the same thing saying if you show up 6:45pm or 7pm restaurant is empty because reservations don’t start until 7:30pm is a completely ridiculous lie. This area is not populated enough for the restaurant to be completely booked at any time, and if all the people have reservations at 7:30pm and you show up at 6:45pm then maybe just maybe you have 45 minutes to eat instead of being denied service. This place seems to be only for locals and local workers and they don’t seem to like tourists. Stay away, but that’s probably what they want anyways.

16/01/2026: A good restaurant in Sappada to eat at. On weekends, you'll almost always find a line and have to wait about ten minutes, but it's worth it. We returned here for the second time to eat the Linzertorte, which was very good. The pizza was also light and easy to digest.

25/12/2025: I've been to Karl's Keller twice, both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and I can say without hesitation that it was a wonderful discovery. The food is simply amazing. The pizza is one of the best I've ever eaten: perfect dough, quality ingredients, and a great balance of flavors. The cold cuts and cheese platter was fantastic, rich, fragrant, and full of flavor: you can immediately taste the freshness and care put into the selection of ingredients. The first course was excellent, but a special mention goes to the venison steak, truly fantastic, tender, and cooked to perfection. But what makes Carl's Keller truly special is the staff, including the owners: genuine, kind, attentive people who make you feel welcomed and at home. It's not just about eating well, it's about enjoying an experience filled with warmth, smiles, and passion for what they do. A place where you'll gladly return, and where I will definitely return. Sincere congratulations to all the staff: you managed to make two special days even more beautiful.

29/01/2026: The food is excellent, both the grain minestrone and the honey-cooked meat, both very sweet and tender. The homemade bread is also delicious. The prices are a bit high, but you pay for the quality and craftsmanship. The owners are very welcoming and attentive, and occasionally organize themed educational evenings. The refuge is half an hour from Seren del Grappa and is located along the provincial road, making it easy to get to. Thank you for your hospitality; it's always a pleasure to return.

08/01/2026: As always, you stumbled upon it by chance! 4 or 5 tables for 4 or 6 people, no more, snow outside and a fireplace inside, you just want to stay. The menu consists of 4-6 typical mountain dishes. Canederli with smoked ricotta, I think, but I remember the two dishes we had well: roast shank with boiled potatoes and raw cabbage with fennel, and goulash with mushrooms and polenta. We don't drink wine and opted for two 1/2-liter bottles of beer; they had Pedavena and coffee. The portions were really generous. Let's say that for us, €22.50 for a single dish was perhaps the end of the day. With €7 per bottle, €1.30 for coffee, and a €2 cover charge, it seemed a bit pricey, but in the mountains, a typical restaurant is acceptable! The walls and ceiling of the room are lined with display cases containing relics from the Great War; they call them, not surprisingly, a museum. The food was good, the place was picturesque, the day was pleasant, the company was excellent—what more can I say? ...

27/08/2025: This was the best Rifugio we stayed at during our Alta Via Hike. It is technically little off the route, but is definitely worth the detour. The room was spacious, compared to many others we experienced. Since they can accomodate only about 10 people, there is a very cosy atmosphere. The staff was very kind and the dinner was by far the best. It was also possible to order from regular menu, since they host other customers. I cannot recommend it enough :)

21/08/2025: We hadn't booked, but the girl found us a table for two (so far so good). We waited 25 minutes before they asked us for drinks. Another 10 minutes for the menu. But despite this, the dishes arrived fairly quickly. The prices were quite high, but good.

18/12/2025: We ate at the agriturismo. It's an easy review; we had a wonderful lunch with well-prepared dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The owners are wonderful people, and the atmosphere is lovely. Just one thing: the menu is decided by the owners, which I think is an added bonus.

15/12/2025: Had lunch on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The welcome was top-notch, and the dishes were exquisite, presented with taste and care worthy of the finest restaurants. The atmosphere was clean and meticulously maintained. The panoramic location was noteworthy. Highly recommended.

25/01/2026: I don't recommend it at all... the fried dishes had so much oil it was almost like drinking it... The sushi falls apart and doesn't seem very fresh... I threw up all over the place during the meal and still paid full price... I just know I'll never go back... it's a shame the restaurant is very nice but the service leaves much to be desired and the food is inedible... don't go there! Oh! And it's not easy to find parking! Edit: First we ate the sushi because we thought it was okay and then I felt sick... then the shrimp arrived and were rock hard and they were replaced with shrimp full of oil. We ordered 30 dishes? We didn't eat most of them because they were too greasy or had a weird taste... Even my dad felt sick. When we left the table, the girl asked if we didn't like it, we told her no, it was inedible, and yet she didn't tell the person at the cashier... I do this job too and honestly, it's not my place to ask for a discount! I'm not starving! If the lady didn't speak to the manager or the cashier, it's not my place to say so. But you should know that after asking around, I've discovered that everyone who comes to you has bad experiences... Anyway, it's not my place to make you think you're wrong... Have a good day.

09/01/2026: The all-you-can-eat option is definitely interesting. Fresh fish and generous portions. Fast and efficient service. The dishes are carefully prepared, as is the restaurant. I sat on the veranda, but the temperature was pleasant despite the freezing day. Very good value for money.

30/01/2026: The interior was recently updated, and I really liked its vintage feel. The staff is very friendly; we stop by if we're in the area for a day trip. It's also great for breakfast. Some vegan croissants would be perfect.
