05/04/2026: We had dinner at this wonderful restaurant and had a truly positive experience. We ate wonderfully: the dishes were refined, and the pairings were harmonious and well-thought out. The appetizers, typical and plentiful, pave the way for excellent first and second courses, while the dessert was simply sublime. The atmosphere is welcoming, in perfect modern mountain style: warm and refined, with both indoor and outdoor seating, ideal for an aperitif in the winter. The staff stands out for their professionalism and courtesy, always present and attentive to every need. I particularly appreciated the care given to my little girl: they prepared a placemat for her to color with crayons, a simple yet extremely effective gesture to entertain the little ones and allow everyone to enjoy the evening in peace. This attention, in my opinion, truly makes a difference, further elevating an already high level of service. I'd also like to applaud the waiter, who I listened to as he explained the wine list with great expertise, accurately recommending the most suitable pairings. In conclusion, a wonderful experience. Kudos to the entire staff: we'll definitely be back.

02/04/2026: I've only been there once for pizza, so my review is limited, but my first impression is very positive. The pizza dough wasn't burnt, and the toppings were plentiful and tasty. Most importantly, it didn't bother me at night. The service was fast. Prices are in line with a tourist destination like Sappada.

14/03/2026: A truly digestible dough made with top-quality ingredients. Very friendly waiters and a clean, well-kept, and very pleasant atmosphere. Very fair prices; despite the craft beer and pizza variation, we spent very little. Truly well done, and thank you for your hospitality.

The owner's courtesy and kindness are unparalleled, and the quality and uniqueness of the dishes are truly Michelin-starred... one of a kind!

03/03/2026: We were at the campervan rest area and, after a nice snowshoe hike, we decided to go to a restaurant for lunch. On the maps, we saw the "Baita Piste Nera" (Black Piste Chalet) and decided to go there. The atmosphere was truly mountain hut-like, the waitresses were lovely and friendly, and above all, the food was delicious! All of this, in our opinion, was reasonably priced. Recommended. Four stars because to get there, you have to walk a short distance down the piste (hence the name) or climb a short icy slope.

18/02/2026: I reached it via the well-groomed forest road, taking an hour's walk uphill (steep). The walk was in the silence of the forest. Once I arrived, I didn't want to leave: the view was wonderful, the owner was friendly, the waitress was kind, and the menu was traditional and authentic. I ate excellent polenta and frigo. I descended via the path, which seemed much less steep. It's not very well-traveled, so crampons were fine for me because the snow was icy. I dream of staying overnight at Monte Ferro one day. Congratulations, and see you next year!

03/02/2026: The right choice! The property is beautiful and well-maintained, with impeccable bathroom cleanliness. The staff is incredibly helpful. The shuttle service is a huge plus. Silvia and Maxi are wonderful people. I absolutely recommend their property!

20/01/2026: Fantastic place. It's now a regular occurrence for us to stay in the Himalayan Suite, our favorite, all in wood with a large window and a mezzanine that my children adore. The staff is incredibly kind and makes you feel at home, almost like family. The food is superb, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues. The overall atmosphere here is magical and relaxing, allowing you to slow down, which is necessary for a peaceful vacation. I recommend it to everyone!!!!!!

22/09/2025: A spectacular refuge on the road to the Piave River Springs from Cima Sappada, easily accessible by car. Delicious traditional dishes; we ordered tagliatelle with venison ragù and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, as a main course, along with the ever-present frico. Highly recommended.

18/09/2025: Worth a stop after a day of trekking in Val Sesis. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is lovely with outdoor seating. There's a running fountain next to the refuge.

17/02/2026: Four of us stopped for lunch. The portions were generous and the food was delicious (especially the venison carpaccio!). Recommended!

11/02/2026: Restaurant and Apartment house in a wonderful Italian (Belluno) village run by a nice family. the apartment is nice and spacious, and the food and service is marvelous in the restaurant. They are providing typical local food created from local ingredients with soul.
