04/09/2025: We ate at this mountain restaurant located at 2,000 meters above the village of Alleghe. The view is breathtaking, but they don't need to do anything special to achieve this because nature has done its job very well, and it's not the most important issue in my opinion. The restaurant doesn't take reservations for outside dining unless you're in a group of at least 6 to 8 people, according to a phone conversation I had with an employee. When we arrived, we were greeted by young, smiling and pleasant waiters. This was a positive point that raised my rating from 2 to 3. We sat at a large table outside (there are only large tables for 8). To start our meal, we chose the cheese and charcuterie board with fried polenta. We had a Spritz and a red Dolomite beer. For the main courses, we chose a Viennese-style breaded escalope with polenta and paccheri with mushrooms and bacon. We drank a house wine. I'll start with the positives: The cheese and charcuterie board was good quality The meat was tender and lightly fried The beer was good The bread basket was okay What wasn't great at all: A paltry quantity for the cheese and charcuterie board at this price The pasta was stuck together and undercooked, a disgrace to be in Italy, the bacon wasn't even a whole slice, and the mushrooms were bland. And especially the plate, at this altitude when it's windy at 2,000 m, it gets cold in less than a minute. So, when it's undercooked and cold on top of that, I'll let you imagine the quality of the food. And it was served 5 minutes after receiving the meat platter. An oversight? So, do we cook pasta in a hurry or not? And as I always do, I ate the plate to be completely objective. Unacceptable and disappointing. The polenta was the same, a flat plate, so it became cold like the pasta. And above all, very salty. Just to humbly inform the cooks, pasta and polenta are served in soup plates, and in the case of a mountain restaurant, since they want to do "gastronomic style," in warm plates. The house wine was nothing special. At the end of the meal, I expressed my grievances to a waitress when she asked me if everything had gone well. She was kind enough to apologize, but since the problem wasn't hers, I asked her to see a manager. Apparently, there's no manager in this restaurant, since no one deigned to come to our table. Conclusion: The price of 75 euros is, in my opinion, overpriced for the overall quality. The panoramic view can't erase everything. In comparison, for twice the price, we ate at a gourmet Argentinian meat restaurant in Verona, with a starter of Pata Negra ham (double the size of our platter), 300g Black Angus beef fillets, high-quality wine, digestifs, and aperitifs. This, to me, demonstrates the glaring disparity between tourist spots where they take too much advantage of tourists, whether foreign or Italian. Tried once, but not twice.

03/09/2025: Very nice place The food is amazing I recommend the polenta with mushroom, but you can also order yourself polenta and cheese !!! The view over the Civeta Mountain and Mount Pelmo is amazing😍

29/09/2025: A true trattoria, spacious and bright, serving traditional dishes made with carefully selected, professionally prepared ingredients. The wine list is very interesting, especially for lovers of traditional sparkling wines. Not to be missed.

15/11/2025: I called the restaurant to order two cutlets at 7:30 PM and was told delivery wouldn't be until 9:00 PM. The delivery driver arrived around 10:00 PM after three calls telling me it would be there in 10 minutes. Needless to say, the cutlets were frozen and the sauce was completely spilled. An order of almost €50, but it was worth €15.

01/11/2025: I went with my girlfriend for my birthday: elegant atmosphere with an open kitchen, friendly, discreet staff, attentive to all the guests' needs. Superb food: you can see and taste the chef's research and exploration of unusual and never banal combinations, which translates into a true culinary experience. We will definitely be back.

19/10/2025: We had a lovely dinner at Tolo Rasa on a Friday evening. We felt sorry for Chef Luca as we were the only guests that evening. Despite that unusual circumstance, the Chef and his two kitchen staff and a lovely waitress presented a wonderful selection of dishes we chose from two tasing menus. Everything we tried reflected great care in preparation and presentation and was described by Chef Luca.

05/10/2025: The Salumeria is a great place for dinner in Castello. Both the tagliatelle (a beautifully cured selection of cheese or sausage, or both) and the pasta are highly recommended. The outdoor seating is very pleasant when the temperature and weather are right, and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to go back!

25/11/2025: My husbands cousin Claudia lives in Verona so she booked this for my friend & I visiting from the US. We loved staying here as a central point to Milan, Verona, Cortina & Venice. The rooms were very clean. The staff was attentive to all our needs. They speak English & were able to give us recommendations. We ate breakfast here every morning of our stay & ate 1 evening meal that was delicious. It is very convenient to have the dining here before setting out each morning on your adventures. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. I highly recommend. 5 stars 🌟 🤩

01/11/2025: We had dinner, and it was an experience we'll always remember. We had Barolo risotto, the best thing we've ever tasted! Creamy, flavorful, simply perfect. We paired it with an excellent Barolo and, to finish, a delicious homemade tiramisu. Anna and Matteo's welcome was wonderful: kind, attentive, and warm. An unforgettable evening in every way: the food, the wine, the atmosphere, and the people. A place we highly recommend, and we'll definitely return!

28/10/2025: Beautiful osteria, meticulously maintained, very intimate, and with truly tasty dishes. Excellent service, very friendly staff. I saw they also offer cooking classes on making homemade pasta. Worth checking out.

25/10/2025: A small restaurant in the heart of Vicenza, the menu is entirely vegan! The manager was immediately super welcoming and helpful, explaining the menu to us, which changes regularly as it's all based on seasonal products. The setting is very intimate, with just a few tables and an almost family-like atmosphere: perfect for a romantic dinner (I recommend making a reservation since there are so few tables). The food was truly fantastic: flavorful, creative, and prepared with great care. I was very satisfied with the dinner and will definitely be back!

16/10/2025: The pizzeria and fried food deserve a rethink, while the appetizers and desserts (Andreotti) are good. Limited selection of draft beers (only lager and unfiltered). The service is good, as is the location. Easy parking outside is a plus.

03/08/2025: An Absolute Gem – Fresh, Scenic, and Unforgettable! This restaurant is truly a hidden treasure. The views alone are worth the visit. Everything is made with the freshest ingredients, and their homemade cheeses are simply divine, especially the creamy goat cheese made right there on the farm from their own goats. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, made even better by the incredible staff. They were beyond accommodating, going out of their way to cater to our group’s needs and making sure every allergy was handled with care. No request was too big or small. They genuinely wanted us to have the perfect experience. Being on the farm surrounded by animals made it all the more magical. It’s not just a meal here, it’s an experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something truly special.
