Amazing, dog friendly place. Returning here for the third evening. Staff is friendly, great, and attentive! Snacks are delicious and drinks as well. Highly recommend.

Very nice place to drink your aperol, with a wide variety of chicchetti. We recommend it for the beautiful atmosphere and reasonable prices.

My family (wife and 12 yr old son) loved Basego! Frankly speaking - sometimes this type of spot beats a high end restaurant. The cichetti is delicious and joyful, drinks are excellent, and most of all the staff - made the time special. You can easily spend 4 hours with friends eating and drinking. Excellent time :)

We returned to this place for the second time, confident of finding the same quality, and indeed we had a wonderful time. This time we even had a chance to chat with the owners, who were knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Highly recommended!

It's a bar. Walk to the counter get what you want & enjoy. Has a good choice of drinks. Spritz is available with variety of bitters. Would recommend.

A small, unassuming restaurant, but I guarantee you the best open-faced sandwiches in Venice. Everything is fresh and homemade. They don't have time to dry out because they're very popular and also because they're made throughout the day. Plus, the quality-to-price ratio is excellent. The service is incredibly friendly, with a warm welcome and the staff even try to speak French and are fluent in English. Thanks again, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

The location is classic Venetian bacaro, essential as it should be. The white wine suggested by the owner is perfect with the fish cicheti, still with Garganica grapes aged in barriques and then paired with a glass of white wine. I found the whole grain bread base interesting, and the lard/anchovy fillet pairing was good. The sardines in saor were sorely missed. Overall, for those looking for this type of food, I recommend it.
