17/01/2025: I was in this magnificent place for a company lunch and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations, excellent quality of food, excellent service and excellent environment with quite large spaces both inside and outside. It's certainly out of the way but it's worth stopping by to enjoy a good lunch or dinner. Also recommended for those in wheelchairs, there is a fairly large car park

Tutto ottimo, dalle materie prime freschissime alla realizzazione dei piatti, così come la ricca scelta di vini da abbinare. Antipasto ed un secondo di pesce. Abbiamo concluso con un buonissimo dessert (io ho gustato.il Tortino al cioccolato 😋😋😋 ve lo consiglio!) Il tutto coronato dalla cortesia e professionalità del padrone di casa 👍👍👍 Se siete in zona fate qualche km. in più ma poi ne sarete felici e soddisfatti😃😃😃 . Consigliamo senz'altro!

02/03/2025: The panzerotti are good, but a misunderstanding in communicating the taste of the panzerotto ruined the dinner. The rudeness of the cashier in answering me was unacceptable, for a problem that could have easily been solved in other ways. they will definitely never see me again, and it's a shame because the panzerotti are also good. I am editing the review in response to the restaurateur. I understand your need to defend your appointment, but despite my young age I do not accept being called disrespectful, especially without any reason. If we have to state the facts, my first approach was calm and serene, the real rudeness started with phrases like "what does your request mean to me, you didn't understand anything". What a kind soul to make the panzerotto again, he must have immediately changed his mind since he had said to me in a rude and annoyed tone "if the girl wants the panzerotto she has to pay it back, we don't give them away here". And yes, dinner was ruined for everyone because of what happened, not just one diner. Please, I understand that she thought she was right (which she wasn't, but let's ignore it), but taking advantage of the fact that we were kids doesn't do her any honor at all. I will still take your advice to heart, but remember that having a successful place and being bigger does not give you the right to respond rudely to the people who give you work, as happened with us this Saturday.

20/03/2025: Simply my favorite pizzeria for years, little else to add, I love the pizza they prepare, it's really delicious, a welcoming and nice place, excellent service with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

16/02/2025: It is not an experience and about the hospitality of the place. Being tourists, the lady from the accommodation recommended us the place to eat something good and at a reasonable price. After a long drive, being Saturday, it was deserted in the historic center, very few people, we entered the restaurant, only 2 occupied tables, the rest were empty. We asked for a table for two people and they told us that only with a reservation, taking into account that it was not crowded. After they refused us, because we didn't have a reservation, we realized that they were not in the mood for tourists, they don't want to respect customers from other countries and keep the place for Italians. You simply did not feel like tourists and have a good feedback. If you want to eat at this place, call ahead, don't waste time getting there and they will turn you away.

06/02/2025: The ice cream is truly amazing. My girlfriend never eats ice cream in the winter, but she couldn’t resist the opportunity to try these natural flavors and tasted them right away. Try the lemon 🍋

22/03/2025: Reservation confirmed for 9:00 pm. Arriving at that time we were told to wait 5-10 minutes for the table to be freed. 40 minutes passed, after several reminders, the fateful table still had not been freed. In the meantime, a table of 4 people became free and they decided to seat a couple who had arrived even after us (perhaps because they knew a waitress with whom they had chatted before sitting down). The service and the constant teasing were shameful. We were their customers but after tonight never again.

14/02/2025: I had the pleasure of having lunch at L'Osteria and I was really satisfied! The dishes are plentiful and tasty. The generous portions satisfy even the most demanding palates, and all at truly affordable prices. An excellent quality-price ratio that makes the experience even more pleasant. The staff is friendly and attentive, the environment welcoming and familiar. I will definitely be back!

I replied I am French and would like to try something local and typical… they came back after 5 minutes with a local and typical white wine from Puglia which was very good. nice experience, and good stuff!

02/03/2025: On Saturday 1 March at lunchtime, a colleague of mine and I decide to have lunch at the "Masseria del Sale" farmhouse restaurant in Manduria, a place that promises a high-level culinary experience in a rustic and evocative atmosphere. The part relating to the restaurant is well renovated, with star vaults and the presence of fireplaces. Tables and chairs have small deficiencies (some dirty seats); unkept parking; large table in a nave with kitchen utensils in evidence. The service is of good evidence, with attentive, courteous staff always available to satisfy every request. Let me start by saying that there were no other tables occupied and there was only one waiter serving. As for the food, the quality is unquestionable even if some dishes are better prepared than others, both in terms of flavors and presentation. I personally particularly enjoyed the artichoke appetizer. The dessert was normal and without great pretensions. However, there is one aspect that left me perplexed and which, unfortunately, clouded the overall experience: the price. The final bill was decidedly exaggerated compared to what was served. Despite the quality of the food and service, the prices are out of the market and not justified compared to the dishes. I expected a more balanced quality-price ratio, and although I understand the increase in the prices of raw materials and the maintenance of the structure, it is not possible to offer such an exaggerated final cost. This is not a starred restaurant. In conclusion, "La Masseria del Sale" offers an experience not worthy of full evaluation and the high price makes it difficult to justify a return or an unreserved recommendation. I would recommend this restaurant only to those willing to spend a lot without evaluating the quality/price ratio. Certainly there is an awareness that the perceived value is not entirely in line with the cost incurred. I highlight that my review is in line with many others. I suggest, given the potential of the structure, to reevaluate the cost or, if left unchanged, to provide an Experience worthy of what is requested. Rating: 3.5/5 (due to excessive prices and an offline experience)
